A great getaway!

It was so easy to check in and out. The place was exactly as advertised and was a lovely, clean cottage to come home to after a day at the seaside. Super close to plenty of nearby restaurants.

Convenient Location

The house is a a short walk away from the train station which was very convenient. Everything was clean upon arrival, check in was smooth, and the property manager was easy to reach.

Weekend trip

This was a weekend roadtrip for us. We had a fabulous time. Nancy was a wonderful host and the apartment was so cute!! The area is not touristy which was a plus!! Great easy access to Salem and Boston!

Outstanding all around

Our host was fabulous-she made this a memorable experience for my family. Very responsive, and really helpful with tips on fun activities in the area. The location is perfect- close to the water and restaurants, and not far from the train. Loved the house, and the Halloween decorations. My daughter is already asking when we can stay there again!

Close to Salem

Nancy was a wonderful host. She was very thoughtful in providing us with a lot of useful information for our trip and was very easy to get on touch with if needed. Her place was very quaint and clean.

Very.nice rental and community

Nancy was a great host and the property offered so many little things that made the stay go well. It’s quaint, with obvious updates that make the place charming. The town itself has many options for food and is a great community to walk around The only issue we had was not on the property or host side. The beaches within walking distance were closed for high levels of bacteria. We ended up driving 10 minutes to Nahant which was actually perfect and larger, just had to pay parking and get there earlier in the day.

Excellent host

Overall, this was a great place to stay with only 1 downfall. In the main sitting room, it was hard to get past the smell of cat urine. We ended up buying an air freshener to have in the area, but the smell was very potent near the door and made it hard to enjoy sitting in the front room. Other than that, neighborhood was absolutely gorgeous, Nancy was an amazing host and very easy to get ahold of and communicate with. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great time. The house is roomy, clean and cutely decorated. We enjoyed visiting many of Salem's historic locations including Proctor's Ledge Memorial on Gallows Hill, Essex street shops, and a haunted trolley ride.The Haunted Happenings Parade was amazing too. My husband and brother-in-law love the movie Hocus Pocus , so we were able to visit several of the filming sites in Salem and Marblehead. Swampscott is a beautiful area with historic restored homes. On Sunday there is a farmer's market there, and we were able to walk over and browse. Even though it wasn't beach season, I walked over and put my chair in the sand and relaxed with the sea breeze and sun while I read. Nancy, the host, was very responsive when the coffeemaker went on the fritz.

Perfect location in Swampscott

Having grown up blocks away I knew the location was ideal, one block off Humphrey St., super close to beaches, the harbor, good restaursnts and a pub! The unit was spacious and well stocked with most everything we needed. Check in was a breeze and Nancy was available as needed. I would give 5 stars for sure except for primary bed- very uncomfortable and desperatrly needs replacing.

This is the loveliest place! So easy to get to, well-appointed with everything we needed and plenty of space to spread out. Perfect for my 2 kid family. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Sp happy with our stay!

We had a great time. The apartment was as expected. The location was very good. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and the beach. We were also in walking distance to the commuter rail and just one stop from Salem. I definitely recommend!

I have lived in this charming town for over 40 years. II am a local realtor and I love selling homes in this beautiful town. I am sure that visitors will fall in love with the charm and amenities that Swampscott offers.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

No need to drive to enjoy many of the area's restaurants, shops and beaches. Most restaurants are a five minute walk away. You can jog along the sidewalk that overlooks the beach. There is a farmer's market on Sundays and various events during the summer months- all within walking distance of the apartment.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Summer concerts and movie nights on nearby Town Hall lawn (Monument avenue, Swampscott) . Paddle board rentals and lessons at nearby Fisherman's beach. Bring $ to the beach as the Ice Cream Man is always driving by. This antique house has been lovingly renovated but still retains its' charm.
