Cozy and Accomodating

We spent two enjoyable nights in Sailors Away for a weekend visit to Salem and Boston. The added bonus was the lovely and quaint town of Marblehead. The home was cozy and accommodating and the hosts very easy to reach and communicate with. They checked in with us via text several times to ask if we needed anything. Marblehead and surrounding area offered a coastal scenic route with small shops and boutiques. We loved Mookies for specialty coffee and breakfast. The home was close to Salem where we enjoyed Boo-tiful Fall activities. We even took the T into Boston for dinner. Talking this up with friends and relatives.

We had a great stay for the weekend with my family. The house was spotless, well stocked, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Great central location in Marblehead, easy to get to, and very easy parking.

Perfect for our stay!

We absolutely loved this property and Marblehead. The proximity to Devereux Beach and Chandler Hovey Park was so close! The binder of extra information about the property and surroundings was super helpful as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Very close to everything we wanted to do, and a reasonable drive in to Boston. Manager was prompt about making a minor repair that popped up.

Safe, quiet, and cozy. Host was communicative and responsive. House was a little dated, but otherwise comfortable. We stayed for a trip to Salem, was only a 10 minute drive into Salem. Spent some time in Marblehead and was able to walk to and from town, about a 20 to 40 minute walk depending on where you go.

What stood out the most about this stay in Marblehead was the communication between them VRBO and myself. They were excellent in getting back to me in such a timely manner. The area the home is in is so quiet and unique. Had a wonderful time staying in this establishment.

The Perfect Blend of Comfort and Coastal Beauty

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Marblehead home! The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed- a full kitchen, laundry, and plenty of space to relax. It was the perfect location for our October getaway: close enough to Salem for all the Fall fun, yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet charm and coastal beauty of Marblehead. Communication with the host was easy and Prompt, which made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Nice house

Nice house but NOT 3 min walk to historic town. Downtown was a 30 minute walk. Marblehead was a very nice town to walk around. Short drive to salem. Lovely yard. Overall a good place to spend a few nights on our road trip home from Acadia NP.

The place was comfortable, clean and well-located in Marblehead. The only not O had was the bathroom fan was not operated by a switch but was motion activated. So in the middle of the night when you went into the bathroom the fan went on and you couldn’t turn it off. It stayed on for a fair amount of time an was loud. Small complaint. Overall great.

Quaint and Picturesque

We had a lovely time staying at Sailors Aweigh. The home was located at the perfect spot to visit Boston for a day and Salem for a day. The area is remarkable, with a laidback, quaint feeling. Lots of people out walking, jogging/running, biking, etc. Our boys enjoyed many games of croquet. At no point did we feel like we had to keep them under a watchful eye. Of course, they are 12 and older, but we had no worries. If you are looking to visit the area, this is a house in a picturesque setting. You can’t go wrong! Enjoy!!!

Salem Vacay

My family and I stayed here and it was cute and quiet. We loved the age of the house and the cuteness of it. We had plenty of room to move around and not feel like we were on top of each other. There are a few things we wished we had such as: more outlets, outside fireplace to relax by, more seating. The living room is not very welcoming and kind of outdated. My stepfather made the joke that someone was m*rdered here due to the big stain on the steps.

Great house, great location

This is a well appointed house. It is comfortable. We all agreed the mattresses were comfortable. Kitchen pretty much had everything we needed and they had a bottle of wine and two waters waiting for us. We were there for a wedding in Salem which was very close by. We took showers in a row and had plenty of hot water. And the outdoor shower was fun. The yard is private with a nice deck to sit and chat or read a book. We are discussing going back next fall for a week. Highly recommend.

Another great trip to Marblehead! We’ve booked this property in the past and found it to be just as enjoyable our first stay. The house is located close to the beach and perfect for morning walks. It was clean, stocked with coffee, toiletries, laundry detergent etc which isn’t always the case with rental homes. The check-in-check-out process was smooth and effortless as well. We look forward to future stays.

We’re in USA for World Cup and did not fancy 10 nights in downtown Boston hotel or apartment. I wanted some outside space and this property has a nice decking area and a large piece of grass. We would have our coffee in the morning and some evening beers outside. It was a short flat walk into Marblehead which is a lovely, clean, safe town with some shops and eating places and great little pub - Maddies Loft. Salem is 10/15 mins in Uber and again is clean and safe with good eating and drinking places. You can get a train into Boston North Station from Salem and it takes around 30 minutes and it’s not expensive. It also worth getting the water taxi from Salem to Boston it takes around 50 minutes and has a roller and a bar. Marblehead is a great place to visit Boston but then get away into some quieter space and have the best of both worlds. Really enjoyed my stay with my family and would recommend it if you like your own space to chill.
