A vacation rental near the water doesn't get any better than this two-story townhome just two blocks from the beach with views of the ocean and intercoastal waterway. Accentuate your beach time with bonus extras like two kayaks, two beach chairs, beach toys, and a boogie board.

There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sunshine at home, too, with a front balcony and a three-tiered, ocean-view back deck. Breathe in the fresh salt air from your favorite seat, which may be the whimsical porch swing. Barbecue your favorites on the private gas grill while the kids play with the provided yard games.

If you prefer a more intricate meal, head inside to the updated interior, where you'll find a full kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances and a large center island. It opens to the living area, which boasts a sound view. Cuddle up on the sofa with a book from the shelf or host a family game night at the dining table. Additional in-home amenities include a private washer/dryer and central air-conditioning.

You will also have access to a shared pool and fishing dock with provided fishing gear. Cut down on travel time by using the two complimentary adult-sized bicycles.

Nice place

We loved the community feeling here, the pool and fishing dock were perfect places to watch the sunset. The house needs some small improvements but overall nice play to stay for a week.

Great family vacation!

We had an amazing time at the Sleepy Seastar! The location was perfect! We were in close proximity to the pool, dock and gazebo, as well as the beach! The house was fully stocked with dishes, spices, and everything you need for a fun day at the beach! Crabbing and fishing equipment were also supplied which was an added bonus! Our family vacation was perfect and will plan to return in the future!

We spent a wonderful week in the Sleepy Seastar. The home was very well appointed from the kitchen, to the variety of games and equipment available. Everything was clean. The proximity of this home to both the ICWW and the beach is amazing. The amenities of the community were great as well. Our family of 4 (with 2 kids under 10) had so much fun. We will surely be back! P.S. for any future renters, bring your bug spray. Being this close to the slow waters of the sound, the mosquitos are feisty.

The location was great. Loved the Bermuda landing community, pool and fishing dock. We caught fish and had a blast. Nice big tv in the living room. Provided soap, shampoo and conditioner was a plus! Ps thanks for the late checkout!

Great choice for a rental!

We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely rent again! This place was only a short walk to a public beach access and had tons of beach gear, beach towels, chairs, 4 bikes, and a couple of canoes! When we arrived everything was very clean. Can't wait to go back.

Labor Day trip

This was our first time staying here and it was wonderful! The location, the way the home was equipped, and all of the nicest people living in this area, we will definitely be back! Thank you for allowing us to rent this beautiful condo.

Overall great

Our family was overall happy with everything access to the beach access to Fishing, and a pool. we highly recommend surf city coffee shop wonderful wonderful people there, we love the bikes we wish there were kid bikes so our children could’ve rode with us but still overall amazing I wish was a little better for the price that you pay but will definitely keep this information for the future. Our son is there so we will plan on being back there several times a year.

Perfection

Short walk to the beach, beautiful decor, kitchen fully equipped, salt water pool had to ourselves, fishing pier/gazebo gorgeous for sunsets, locals were the nicest people- especially neighborhood folks. Our pooch was right at home with the dog bed and food bowls. Kayaking with the two single kayaks was a highlight. Surf city a 5 minute drive - with free parking before 9am and after 6pm- perfect for going out to dinner. Sundial was our favorite coffee place and Daddy Macs was our favorite restaurant- ate overlooking the beach.

Wedding week

This home has the perfect setting and lots of things to do that come with your stay! We went biking, kayaking and hung out at the pool, all included with the condo. It is a quiet area and has a beautiful beach right across the street. Restaurants and shopping only a 5-10 drive either way. The house is clean and decorated nice. Would definitely go back!

Sleepy Seastar

We love the location and the layout of this unit. The front deck was amazing to watch the sunsets. We enjoyed the pool and the pool easy access to the beach. We used the kayaks in the garage and some other items provided. Some of the chairs, life jackets and full beach cart in the garage were left in poor condition from a previous renter. When we arrived the unit was very clean except for a layer of sand on the floors. The unit and complex were amazingly dog friendly. It’s a perfect location on the island with a beautiful uncrowded beach. We had a wasp nest and sliding door upstairs that needed attention and Vacasa was quick to help, but I asked for one of us to be in the unit before someone entered because of the dogs. We got back to find someone in the unit and our dogs very upset. Overall it was a great experience and we would absolutely stay again!

Would NOT rent this if Vacasa is still managing this property...

We were excited to find a last minute property for a weekend getaway. Nervous about this property not having reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by the location and convenience to the beach. We were, however, not pleased when we went to bed at 9PM and found out that none of our beds had linen on them. After being on hold for over and hour, getting disconnected and then holding again, we were finally able to get in contact with someone. We were told that we would receive a call back and linen would be brought that night...11:30 PM and still no linen, no call back. It wasn't until the next day (after 2 more messages though the website) that someone reached out and told us that they are in the locked closet in the house and we could go get them and put them on. When going to get them out, they were extremely stiff and hard. It felt like we were sleeping on sandpaper. The house was not the cleanest when we arrived. The decorations were nice. The place/rooms were small but fit our needs. I do feel like this property has a lot of potential and don't feel like most of our concerns were related to the property owner...mainly the vacasa. We will NOT be renting another house if Vacasa is involved. Hopefully they can get it together for the future.

Great vacation rental

House was wonderful. Kitchen stocked with just about anything you could need. Bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, beach towels were all provided snd plentiful. Location is great - quiet and peaceful but within 5 miles of grocery and restaurants. Loved the house and location.

Amazing!
