Beautifully updated and vintage 1890s uptown house only steps away from all the historic sights! Hide-Out is an elegant family home in a prime location, one parked car at the house and free on street parking. Well equipped kitchen, two baths (one with a fantastic soaking tub!), large master w/king, 2nd w/queen and small single as the 3rd! Beautiful shared courtyard garden with table and grill. There is a pet fee of $50 cash that must be left on a visible counter for cleaners (limit 2 pets).

Ambiance: It is a quiet neighborhood albeit connected to a very busy tourist town. You will hear people, cars, the cannon fire at the fort, church chimes and the occasional trolley in the daytime. This includes the Firestone during their regular hours.


Guests enter Hide-Out through the main and front door and have exclusive access to the portion of the house. Please note, however, there is another small unit attached around the back side of the house that may also have occupants, so please be mindful of how loud you are as well as tromping up the stairs or dragging luggage up the stairs. Only the garden is shared. Hide-Out guests have free and exclusive access to the full sized washer and dryer.

Parking for one vehicle is available in front of the door on the parking pad (on top of bricks). Street parking is available without yellow curbs. One parking pass to city parking garage is available inside (parking is 2 lovely blocks away)

Highlights include a great location, courtyard garden, fantastic soaking tub, well equipped kitchen, and king size bed in the master!
The House is the "main house" on a property that has two other rentals. The Hide-Out offers living room, dining room, and kitchen/laundry on the ground floor and three private bedrooms as well as two full bathrooms on the second. Both baths are off the hallway, one with a large tub only and the other with a tub/shower. Updated with stylish and contemporary appliances and furniture, as well as tasteful accent pieces, art, and craftworks. For the grilling types, we have a charcoal grill in the shared garden. Garden is shared with the carriage house dubbed “Safe Haven” and an attached in-law suite “Retreat” in the rear (see our other listings). All are self contained with their own entrances and no shared space except the courtyard garden! This unit has one parking space on the parking pad right in front of the door of this unit with free street parking available on with out yellow curbs (same street) and two parking passes inside to parking garage a block away.
-Dogs must be on a leash at all times and clean up after your pets.
-Security Cameras are on the property
-We do not provide spices as we prioritize sanitation and encourage
guests to use their preferred products.
-Only guests on reservation are allowed on the property.

Walking is best, but you can rent bikes, scooters, three wheelers or grab any of the tourist trollies...all just a few blocks away or call a pedi-cab and they will pick you up at the front of the property!
Parking Down Town 2.50 per hour, not free after 5 pm and Sunday
1 parking pass is available inside for down town garage parking a block away (8 minute walk). Street parking on Abbot st next to and behind the stop sign.

We are NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Please, no events, or "get togethers.” Quiet hours are enforced. Maximum six person total occupancy. Babies are counted in that total. This is an updated older home that is not "child proof" but families with children are welcome!
The garden is for all guests, smoking is OK outside but please be considerate of non-smokers.
No cats or other animals allowed other than dogs on property; limit of 2 dogs per booking
*DOGS* must be kept on a leash at all times.
We thank you for observing our STRICT non-smoking rules. You are welcome to smoke outside, but please dispose of cigarette butts and be considerate of other guests.

We enforce pet fees for guests traveling with emotional support animals. If a guest refuses to pay, we will not allow the emotional support animal to stay. Picture of Pet fur will be reported and Airbnb will contact guests unwilling to comply with our policies.

Quiet Hours are from 10:00 pm until 8am. If you have an emergency, or feel that guests are disrespecting the house rule hours, please call the number on the main page and we will try our best to assist.
