Vores spredte ranch house har 5 soveværelser, 3 badeværelser adskilt i mini-suiter med en gigantisk stue og Western Library. Den smukke Master Suite har en privat balkon, jacuzzi-badekar og hans / hendes forfængelighed. Sørg også for at drage fordel af vores bunkhouse fra den gigantiske bagerste veranda! Uanset om dine behov kræver at sove seks eller seksten (inklusive sofaer), byder vi dig velkommen til Barrett Family Ranch for kortvarigt eller længere ophold.

Ranch-stilindstilling blandt de raslende eukalyptustræer. Slumre roligt, når varme vinde rasler træerne og bærer den bløde kvit af crickets fra den nærliggende bæk. Vågn op til at synge sangfugle og den bløde hesteparti på stierne. Blot få minutter fra Disneyland, Angel Stadium i Anaheim og funklende strande som Newport og Laguna, er Orange Park Acres landdistrikterne tilbagetog i hjertet af det sydlige Californiens mest besøgte destinationer. Orange Park Acres har et unikt system på næsten 30 miles med rekreative hestestier. Det er omgivet af over 2100 hektar åben plads i Santiago Park og Irvine Regional Park med OC Zoo, Pony Rides og togture ... perfekt til børn og hesteelskere!


Denne 4050 kvadratmeter 5 soveværelser, 3 bad tilpasset hjem sidder på en hektar meget omgivet af hestestier og den smukke udsigt over Saddleback bakker. Fejning af 14'-lofter giver Great Room en enorm fornemmelse, ligesom den smukke stablede stenbrændende pejs med et tilstødende bibliotek er fyldt med Louis Lamour, Charles Russell og andre store forfattere af den vestlige verden.

Et underholdningskøkken med brugerdefineret skab, autentisk brændeovn (opdateret med gas og seks brændere til gourmet-madlavningsstandarder), antikmonterede køleskabsdøre og en stor ø med separat håndvask giver gæsterne mulighed for at hjælpe med madlavningen! Slå op og et vintage, hamret tinnloft forbinder køkkenet med en ottekantformet spisestue med en anden stenpejs og fantastiske franske døre, der åbner sig for græs og blommetræer. Skinnende dobbeltglider støder op til stuen til et stort overdækket dæk og græsklædt baghaven, ideel til udendørs måltider og familiesammenkomster.

Stig op ad den fejende trappe til Master Bedroom med 14 'åbent bjælkeloft trælofter, et rum fuld af varme skinnende antikke soveværelsesmøbler og et brugerdefineret cedertræ foret garderobeskab. Nyd den brugerdefinerede granit pejs og udsmykkede udskårne mantel i din viktorianske stue og tag udsigt over dalen fra din private balkon. Træd ned i et rummeligt romantisk badeværelse komplet med hans og hendes antikke forfængelighed, dobbelt bruserhoveder og et enormt jacuzzi-badekar bygget til to.

Yderligere soveværelser tilbyder sovepladser til yderligere 8-10 personer. Et klassisk børneværelse med legetøj og to enkeltsenge (krybbe findes) og en antik Murphy-seng konverterer det smukke bibliotek til sovepladser.

What a wonderful property! Our family group of 15 had plenty of room to spread out for our week long stay in Orange. The home itself exudes history and love - full of antiques and charm. We felt like we were visiting friends. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed seeing the horses nearby. Beds were comfy - showers had plenty of water pressure and our group enjoyed playing cornhole in the backyard! Thank you so much to the Barrett family for sharing their family home.

We were hosting a family surprise party and needed lots of space for visiting, cooking and sleeping. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and even spices and common food items in the pantry. We had room for lots of cooks, and grilling outside as well. There was a first level bedroom with bathroom and the other bedrooms were well appointed with good beds and proximity to a shared bathroom. The upstairs main suite was beautiful. The whole property was unique - full of antiques, western memorabilia and charm. Everyone loved it and we made great memories. Close to a good grocery, and more shopping was 10-15 minutes away. Quiet, safe location. Host was responsive and check in and out went easily.

A really fun place to stay.

The house was roomy enough to accommodate Me and my husband, my children and their partners, and their children. Lots of places for us to get together and catch up with each other. It is decorated with so many interesting things to look at. Perfect location, near Disneyland and not to far from the beaches. We had a wonderful family reunion and the ranch was a big part of our trip. Thank you for providing such an amazing place for us to stay.

Dezi's 17th birthday weekend getaway

Everything went good.. unforgettable memories were created and the laughs were endless 😂. The only complaint that I have is the central air..we stayed here on one of the hottest record setting weekends ever and the a/c was not working in all the rooms..it was unbearable and very uncomfortable. A place to shower and sleep

While we were grateful for a place to house our family this house was not what I envisioned for a vacation home. It had too many things in it for little ones to touch. I was grateful we did not have toddlers or special needs children with us. The house was not well-suited for that group. There were not enoughg wash cloths for everyone and we had to hunt for towels so everyone had one for their showers. The drawers in the kitchen were not clean. We needed a map to find things in the kitchen. We also needed a map for which light switches worked for the lights. Again we were grateful for a place to sleep and shower but this was not a home to relax in though we could tell it had a lot of history and was loved by its owners.

Great family stay with some adjustments

A lovely place for our family to gather. There's plenty of room for everyone and lots and lots of cookware to make meals for a large crowd. The Wi-Fi is great, showers were great, and there were lots of toys for the little ones to play with. We were unfortunate enough to stay during a heatwave. The A/C system is not great. Some parts of the house (the back cabin, the downstairs bathroom, part of the living room) are nice and cool. As for the rest of the house, the air didn't travel well throughout our 4+ day stay and it got so frustrating that we ended up leaving a little early. I wish we had known this beforehand. Thankfully, they did supply us with plenty of fans (though they were pretty dusty) that kept us at bay but was still a struggle. It is an old house so perhaps that comes with the territory. Additionally, the fridges weren't up to date and didn't keep the food that cool and melted a lot of the ice cream. Overall, if you're looking for a place to gather with a large group and enjoy some meals, this is a great spot just be mindful about some of the compromises!

Old Country Charm

The home was beautiful and had so many awesome antiques. We visited for a trip to Disneyland and Universal Studios. Some of my family went to the parks early. I opted to enjoy the my lovely surroundings and relax and go with the later group. We had everything we needed and more during our stay.

Spacious and Rustic Home Full of Memories

This older home is situated in a quiet residential area consisting of small horse properties. The house easily accommodated our large family group of fourteen (six adults, eight kids ages 4 to 14) for a week. We never felt crowded, and no one had to wait in line for a bathroom. We made frequent use of the well-stocked kitchen, and the large deck (with a propane grill and strings of patio lights) was a great spot for outdoor meals. The house was amply supplied with towels, linens, toilet paper, kitchen supplies, dishware, and the like. We bought groceries, but otherwise had everything we needed to be comfortable. Once upon a time this 'ranch' featured the outdoor space typical of a large rural property, but now most of that space is not accessible to guests, and is in fact taken up by outbuildings, machinery, an old railroad car, and stacks of construction materials, and guests are not allowed, nor would they want, to wander outside the immediate vicinity of the house. The back yard is just big enough for kids to run around in; we brought bicycles, but it's not really a bike-friendly property or neighborhood. Each room is chock full of collectibles, memorabilia, antiques, and family heirlooms. There were enough toys and games provided to keep the four-year-old occupied, and while thankfully nothing got broken during our stay, the presence everywhere of so much irreplaceable personal property made the adults a little nervous. Our visit to SoCal included beach trips and two days at Disneyland. Getting to and from the 55 or 91 freeways takes less than ten minutes. Old Town Orange is just 15 minutes away, Disneyland 25 minutes, the nearest beach about 40 minutes in traffic. We would stay here again!

Great experience for the entire Water Polo Team!

We had a great experience hosting the 2021 Water Polo Team! The house comes very well equipped for the entire stay. Kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The air conditioner worked throughout the house, but was stronger in certain parts of the house. We highly recommend this property to any large groups and families. The hosts were amazing to work with and that made it very easy for us to get everything organized ahead of our visit. Thank you for the great hospitality! Pomona Pitzer Water Polo Team!

Comfort of the House

The uniqueness of the house was exciting. The entrance was a perfect setting for our family event. The house was filled with history and intrigue. We were able to park our 4 cars in front he driveway. Some extra parking across from he street. The back bedroom air conditioning didn’t cool properly. The bunkhouse window unit did not cool adequately. The bunk house bed frames didn’t not fit the mattress. We shifted around and made it work for our family. The bathrooms and showers were great! So clean. Plenty of towels and linens. The outside reception area was shaded and convenient. The overall experience will be a fond memory to share with family as we recollect the, “Celebration of my Sister and Mothers Life.” The ease and convenient location served us well. Family reunion.

The property met all our family needs. The proximity to Knotts Berry Farm, and the ocean beaches made it easy to schedule all the activities. The house was clean and well stocked, and was large enough to accommodate our extended family. The kids had a great time playing Hide N' Seek in all the secret closets. It was an excellent family gathering. We all enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for having us.

A quiet getaway close to everything

So Mr. Barrett is awesome. He lives on the property in a small camping trailer, and could probably build a teleporter with all the tools, lumber and know-how in his brain. He runs at a slightly slower pace than the rest of the world, probably intentionally ;-) The property itself has a ton of heart and character. Richard will probably want to give you a tour of the entire house and show you every little knick knack, but has done this long enough to know what to highlight. You can tell this was his family home where he and his wife raised their kids. Lots of love, care and history here. If you're looking for a Marriott or Hilton property, this ain't it. It's clean but homey. Well organized, but definitely rustic. A couple of the guys who stayed with me this week are from rural Wyoming & Colorado - they felt right at home. The kitchen is well stocked and organized - the Barretts definitely know what large groups require in a vacation home. The furniture is comfortable and spacious, and fits the space well. The Master bedroom is huge, includes a sitting area and a walk out deck that overlooks the backyard. The master bath is bigger than some of the bedrooms, and has 2 separate sink cabinets, plenty of linen storage, bath and shower, etc. The other bedrooms were fine, and could easily accomodate a large family. One of the bedrooms was quite small, but was decorated like a farm kid's bedroom, complete with a secret hide out! The deck off the living room was amazing - we didn't even use it for its intended purpose, but you could easily fit 30+ folks around the tables and BBQ your heart out. The 2nd fridge and oven combo on the deck worked out super well for us, we had flexible storage for drinks, desserts, etc. The community is VERY quiet, and the homes are spaced far enough apart, the parties happening around the neighborhood the week we stayed were not noticeable at all inside the ranch. Cell service (AT&T) wasn't awesome at the house, others with different carriers had varying results. Never turned on the TV with Apple TV unit, but it looks nice. Cristol O'Loughlin, Mr. Barrett's daughter was a joy to deal with - our conversation quickly solved a small misunderstanding on our checkout day. I'd love to take the Barretts to dinner one day and hear more about their history and family. Overall, I am 95% sure I'll be booking the Ranch for NAMM 2021 - it was a fantastic experience that I'd love to repeat! CJ Lewis

Roomy house with easy access to Orange County parks

Lots of room with a great kitchen for cooking family dinners. Close to grocery stores and restaurants in El Modena. Great base for road cycling (and probably mountain biking too). We had 9 adults of 6 children staying ranging in age from 5 to 80. Indoors, the house offers three common social spaces in addition to the dining room and a sitting area in the upstairs master bedroom.

The Barretts were lovely and their ranch house is super comfortable!

The house is huge, has tons of palaces to sit and talk or read and is loaded with cowboy memorabilia and antiques. It's got a horse path along the road, a huge back patio for entertaining and the master suite is amazing!

Quiet getaway ranch

The home is a lovely, open space with a nice kitchen and inside or outside dining on a terrace via large sliding glass doors. My family spent most of their time in the kitchen, living room and terrace which were all near each other. We also have an infant baby so the parents and baby had a private room near a bathroom in another wing of the home which was very nice and quiet. And, of course there is the master bedroom suite which is great for coffee and tea with home made scones in the morning! Lovely, lovely! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Our family has enjoyed Barrett Family Ranch for several decades now. Many special events have been celebrated at the Ranch - holidays, weddings, birthdays and family get-togethers. Kids love the Ranch and you will too!

The property was built from the ground up by my father, Richard Barrett, a master craftsman specializing in antique word-work. He is also a collector of antiques, all things western, and we even have a full-sized train car on the property for your guests to explore. The Ranch is ideally located within 5-30 minutes of the following attractions:
