We loved this place, it's exactly as described! perfect spot with a pool to stay near La Fortuna! Host was super helpful - he helped us rent a car (which I really appreciate) and booked river safari (great experience!).

What an amazing stay for our family of 6! The property was everything we could ask for. From the outdoor kitchen, the pool, game room, cottage, it was like no where we have ever stayed. The grounds were also gorgeous and well cared for. The location was fantastic. But probably the best part of our stay was the amazing service provided by Judah. Although he was not there during our stay, he was communicating with me every step of the way. His recommendations for white water rafting, hiking, hot springs, and a night forest tour were top notch. Thank you Judah for sharing this property and allowing our family to truly experience Costa Rica! Pura Vida

The house is so beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. Judah was great to work with, and was available for any questions. The beds were comfortable, shower was great, plenty of linens and towels. The pool was by far the most beautiful part. Would definitely stay again!

A little slice of paradise, secluded and private. Perfect location to explore all La Fortuna has to offer. The pool and private garden were amazing. Even as great as the property itself was, Judah and Michele as hosts were even better. Every experience recommended and scheduled for us was top notch and would do them all again. Highly recommend villa Hermosa to all

Everything was fantastic! Check in was easy, even arriving after dark and later in the day. The villa was as described and clean. The hosts were very kind and responsive as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing time at Villa Hermosa. The hosts Judah and Michele were so friendly and accommodating and they helped us book various tours to make sure we had a great time. The property is beautiful and very well kept. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had a great time at the Villa Hermosa. The property is in excellent condition and very clean. We enjoyed the pool and taught my now 11 year old son the game of pool. The property is conveniently located in regards to the activities in the area. The hosts are super friendly and helpful.

The absolute best VRBO spot! Judah and Michelle are top notch hosts. There whenever you need them. Judah set-up most all of our activities resulting in the most memorable vacation we've ever had. If you're visiting the La Fortuna area, do yourself a favor and book Villa Hermosa for lodging. You will not be disappointed. Pura Vida!!

Everything about this place was perfect. My husband and I loved our stay here. Gorgeous pool and gardens, secluded location, well-stocked and clean. The owners are very kind, and regularly offered suggestions and assistance via group chat regarding local restaurants and attractions. We appreciated and accepted the offered assistance to arrange for airport transportation and rental car delivery, and would recommend this for future guests - especially if arriving at night like we did. We loved coming back to the pool and outdoor living area after our days of adventure in La Fortuna. The property is a short drive away from a local grocery store and bakery. The road is newly paved. We would not hesitate to book again should we return to the area in the future.

Amazing villa near La Fortuna

We had a wonderful time at Villa Hermosa! So many activities nearby, including sloths, zip lines, waterfall repelling. Our hosts, Michelle and Judah couldn’t have been nicer, outgoing, fun and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

The host was very communicable from the start. The place is about 25 min from the Arenal volcano and are with activities. The place was spacious and very lush. The game pavilion was fun to have along the other the pool. Everything was great.

Relaxing cottages

We had a great stay. The Villa is about 30 mins away from adventure activities in La Fortuna, but provides a relaxing retreat. The pool area is private and tranquil with lovely gardening. The hosts are very friendly and make everything easy.

Amazing host

Beautiful spot surrounded by nature. Judah was an exceptional host! He was quick to answer any question and every suggestion he had from the best route, to restaurants, to the best companies to use for activities was spot on perfect! His guidance made our trip all the more enjoyable.

Perfect location for a romantic get away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Hermosa. The grounds were beautiful and the accommodations were excellent. Judah and Michelle were welcoming and very helpful in suggesting and booking activities for us. What a peaceful place to stay away from the fast pace of La Fortuna. The beautiful birds were abundant on their property and so much fun to observe. We also enjoyed the game room, playing darts and pool an d sitting by the beautiful pool.

Magical!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We wish we would have scheduled for a longer visit. The property is landscaped to perfection. Everything was perfect and we look forward to visiting again soon. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Incredible property. We enjoyed spending time here, by the pool, exploring the expansive gardens and property, playing some of the many games available, having some meals and relaxing. Very comfortable and inviting. Judah was very responsive to any questions, gave excellent recommendations for activities and made reservations for us. A bit off the beaten path, but well worth it. Highly recommend for semi-adventurous travelers!

Wonderful hosts, gorgeous property

The grounds, pool and ample space were perfect for our party of four. Felt like we were staying in our own private resort. The open air aspect of the main area was perfect for enjoying the tropical rains, the bedding was most comfortable and the bathrooms were surprisingly large - especially the showers. Judah and Michelle were gracious hosts, providing guidance and recommendations for various tours. We hated to leave after our six night stay. There is so much to do in the area, but we also enjoyed just relaxing at the property. Several fabulous restaurants with incredible views are nearby. We hope to return!

Villa Hermosa was an amazing, authentic Costa Rica experience!The open-air living room and kitchen were really unique and just as enjoyable and comfortable as I expected. The swimming pool had a resort feel, and, along with the game room, provided endless entertainment for our family.To get to the Toucan Villa from the main house, there is a considerable walk through rainforest. The plants and paths are impeccably maintained and stunning, but young children are not likely to feel comfortable staying there alone. Also, some other reviews mention motorcycle and truck noise from the street, which contrasts the otherwise peaceful and secluded feel throughout the property.Overall, our stay at beautiful Villa Hermosa was relaxing, memorable, and a whole lot of fun.

Perfect tropical vacation home

Most wonderful tropical vacation home in a beautiful garden with pool and hammocks. We enjoyed our breakfasts and BBQ dinners on the open terrace of the house listening to the voices of nature. Wendy really made us feel home. We found everything we needed in her vacation home. The house has an eye-catching design, both inside and outside, and shows such an extent of care and love that is rare to find. Wendy is a happy and very helpful host. We liked the location of the house being fairly close to attractions and grocery stores. Thank you so much Wendy again, and would love to come back.

Perfect mix of beauty and fun!

We had a wonderful time. Villa Hermosa was so charming - it was a secluded oasis with amazingly beautiful grounds. There was so much nature - birds, frogs, etc. And bats at night kept the mosquitos away! We had so much fun playing pool and darts in the game room, playing horseshoes in the backyard and swimming in the pool! Judah helped us plan all of our activities - rafting, zip line, hot springs, hanging bridge hour. He knew the best ones and made all our reservations for us. Every single excursion was perfect! I’d certainly recommend Villa Hermosa to anyone traveling to Costa Rica.
