Breath-taking views of Back Lake and steps from the shore with lake access, this 1 1/2 story, studio A-frame cabin sleeps 4 with a cozy loft accessible by a pull-down ladder! Fully equipped with direct ATV and snowmobile access, there is also a private dock 75 feet from the cabin on Back Lake, a fire pit, plenty of parking, a large deck for grilling, and memories to be made! NO pets allowed. All renters must be at least 25 years old to rent. All renters must read and sign the owner’s rental agreement form before renting.

What a beautiful peaceful cabin. It was clean quite and cozy!! Would definitely stay again. Joy was very communicative with any questions we had. Awesome trails near by!!! Full kitchen to make delicious home cooked meals. I highly recommend taking the time to go to IGA grocery store for your grocery shopping needs.

My partner and I had a fantastic time at this little A-frame. We often vacation in tiny houses/studios and this was just what we needed. It has a functional, lightly equipped kitchen where we could cook meals. The couch is comfy and was a great place to relax and watch movies after a full day of being out fishing. The water pressure was great, hot showers with water on demand, a big plus. Since it was just the two of us, there was plenty of room to spread out our gear, and lots of hooks to hang backpacks, jackets, etc Having enough space for our truck and boat trailer was super convenient. Also, having a little dock of our own for our boat and to fish from was a really nice addition. The owner even let us use a second dock since no one was renting at the house next door at the time. Thanks!Sunset from the front porch, perfection Our only complaint was that the listing said it had a queen bed, but the bed is definitely a double/full. My partner is quite tall, so that mattered to us. We would definitely return here to Back Lake, we'd probably rent the waterfront cabin instead from the same host!

The A frame cottage is rustic as advertised but it was not clean at all. Windows were dirty, cobwebs everywhere, Had to clean everything before using. The windows at the rear did not open up, the front screen door has a huge gap so everything walks in. There was no air conditioning which I understood but since the windows did not open in the back there was zero air movement. It was 86 degrees every evening going to bed and that's running the fans. Had a bug crawl on my face in the middle of the night. Location is fantastic with waterfront access just steps from the cottage and lots to do in Pittsburgh. This is typical of absentee ownership. I would not go back to this place, unless things changed. Location is 5/5 the building is 1/5. See photo of under the bed, tons of dust and dirt and 2 old socks that had been there for a long time.

Excellent Location

The cabin was perfect for two and the location was perfect for heading out on the ATV trails. Recommend Green Acres for lunch.

Family Snowmobile trip

This is the second year in a row we’ve come up for the parade of lights & stayed here. It’s a cute little family getaway. The location is perfect for snowmobile adventures. Close to all the trails & right on lake.

Weekend in the North!

We came up to go snowmobiling for the weekend. This was the perfect spot! We were able to hop on and off the lake with ease! We will be back!

Pittsburg get-away

The cabin was adorable, very clean and comfortable. The location absolutely beautiful, a peaceful spot. We had a question about the wi-fi and the property manager got right back to us. Would highly recommend this place and will likely be returning!!

Great location

We reserved this property for the parade of lights on Back Lake. It was a great location: right on the lake and on the snowmobile trails. Unfortunately, the parade was canceled due to lack of snow. The property manager was very accommodating and had great communication.

Nice cozy cabin

Nice place, close to the water and comfortable. Picnic table and grill could use a refresh. The dock was right across from the cabin but very small - maybe one beach chair would fit on the dock. Suggest if they added a T at the end perhaps 2 people could sit and enjoy the water.

What a Gem!

When you imagine in your mind a weekend away... on a lake... in New Hampshire with the most unreal views. You would imagine this A-Frame Cabin. The epitome of peaceful... the most quaint, adorable place that is situated right near the lake within 30 steps not even? It is like stepping back in time. This A Frame cabin was everything that you could possibly need. Tiny but so mighty and planted in the most perfect spot to view the most unbelievable sunsets and most unreal starry nights complete with shooting stars! With trail access for ATV's and snowmobiles- minutes away from the best spots to eat- the beach is within walking distance, there is a dock to watch the sunsets, a fire pit to enjoy the nights and canoes to cruise Back Lake. So much to do and so much see- whether it's just relaxing at the lake or riding around. This is the spot to be! Joy & Ryan were amazing hosts and we were lucky enough to meet them and would highly recommend staying at Pinecone Cabin on Back Lake!

We rented this place for an additional space to sleep while visiting family in the area. We only had expectations of sleeping there. I didn’t use the kitchen or the loft upstairs. The main bed is very small and no headboard, just pushed up against the slanted wall, losing a few more inches of space. The pillows could use an upgrade and a better assortment. For such a small space, I recommend removing some of the furniture inside to make it more spacious. The table and stools only got in the way and the massive tv in front of the window (view) made it feel smaller inside. The weather was warmer than we expected and the windows do not open in this cabin and one of the fans does not work. We tried leaving the door open to allow for some fresh air, but the screendoor needs some attention and there were bugs everywhere. This could be a cute and comfy space, just suggest a few upgrades for better comfort. Lastly, the checkout instructions include taking your own trash to the city dump. The town waste station has VERY limited hours, so I think there needs to be another option for trash. Communication with the host was excellent, check in/check out was a breeze.

We enjoyed the time on Back Lake even though it rained the entire time. For the price it was reasonable and had all the amenities needed. The cabin is located close to rest and restaurants, the Connecticut River and lakes. It is a beautiful area.
