Modern Home in downtown Middletown! Walk to shops & restaurants!

Perfectly situated in downtown Middletown, this modern 2-story home sits in a quiet location but yet is just a 2 minute walk to the local cafes, coffee shops, grocery stores, community pool & more. It's an ideal spot if you are heading up Hwy. 175 toward Cobb Mountain & Boggs forest, out to Harbin Hot Springs, or further north to Hidden Valley Lake, Lower Lake & Clear Lake.

This property is located about 20-30 minutes north of Calistoga. For those wanting to visit Napa Valley, please note, you do have to drive over a windy, mountain road to get to Calistoga and the Napa Valley. We have many wonderful wineries here in Lake County and are happy to provide recommendations, if desired!

The huge entry hallway offers plenty of space for storing mountain or road bikes or other outdoor equipment that you want to bring inside for the night.

Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom with stall shower, walk in closet & utility room with washer/dryer & utility sink.

Upstairs is all the main living areas including the full kitchen, complete with dishwasher, pantry, microwave, electric range, refrigerator, and both a standard coffee maker or a single serve. It is fully stocked with dishes & all of the cooking essentials.

The living room & dining room enjoy vaulted ceilings & a cute deck with patio table, chairs & bbq looking out to the street ~ a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.

The living room has two convertible couches, that can be laid flat to provide two twin-size bed options (most suited for children). There is a TV with Roku firestick and WiFi is provided.

The large upstairs bedroom features a king bed, desk area, walk in closet & black out curtains. The full bathroom offers a tub/shower combo with a jetted tub, pedestal sink & skylight.

A twin size blow up air mattress is also available for use. Please note the main living is upstairs and the stairway is a bit steep for some.

This is the main house and comes with the designated paved parking spot for one car in the driveway. There is a detached studio cottage behind this home, which does use the side yard for access and the gravel parking space is reserved for the cottage.

Need more space? The cottage can be rented separately and can sleep another 3 adults, or 2 adults + 2 small children (VRBO# 3067759). However the entire MAIN house is exclusively included in this rental.

Great property for a getaway. We were looking to escape for a couple days and not go somewhere crowded. Wanted to just relax. The house was perfect for that along with the surrounding area. House is clean, modern, well equipped, and very comfy. There are a few wineries close, several restaurants, and a great market. Restaurants and market all walking distance. The host, Shannon, was great to deal with. Very prompt responses to all questions. Very helpful with recommends for the surrounding area. Easy check in and check out. Great experience and would recommend.

The stay was great, clean with comfortable beds and a nice kitchen.There are only two bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. It says it sleeps 8, this is a stretch. There are 2 king beds, 2 futons, and one inflatable bed.Overall a good place to stay, and a great price.

Small Town Charmer.

We Stayed here for 2 nights in mid June. First communication was easy and prompt with the Host.The property was immaculately kept, everything worked as it should, house was well stocked and location was unbeatable. It was like going back in time in that small town but the house had all the modern comforts and conveniences. We walked to the local general store and coffee shop in town while we stayed here, locals and neighbors were nice. I even used the grill and we enjoyed lunch on the deck.My only suggestion is for better knives the serrated edge knives were not ideal for cutting meat. All in all a great experience.

Wonderful Calistoga Redoubt

Wonderful little rowhouse in Middletown. If you enjoy Old California, then this is a great place to enjoy Lake County or the upper Napa Valley. Middletown has everything you need for refreshment in a quaint town. If you enjoy mountain driving then Calistoga road over Mt. St. Helena is almost a destination in itself. A pleasure. Thanks.

Convenient Location

There’s a little grocery store around the corner and Harbin Hot Springs is just a short drive. It was my second stay at this location. Everything was clean and as advertised. Beds are comfy. Kitchen was enough to get by but could be slightly improved by a new sheet pan and hardier cutting board etc. but we like to cook. Grill worked great. Will absolutely be back.

clean and easy

We spent two nights at this clean and convenient house in Middletown and it met all of our needs. We cooked a dinner at the house and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The house is simple, but clean.

Girls weekend retreat

This was the perfect location and perfect space for 4 friends to meet up and have a wonderful weekend. Within a few blocks walk of restaurants and shops. Less than 8min from Harbin Hotsprings. Well appointed kitchen with the perfect layout for socializing and sharing meals. We will be back!!

Another pleasant stay in Middletown CA

This was our second stay at Shannon’s rental. We have family in the area so we don’t spend a great deal of time at the house. We stay over thanksgiving week and are very busy with family activities. The property is neat and clean and can easily accommodate 4 people.

Spacious

Perfect get away with my wife and some our closest friend with enough space that we all had a comfortable stay. The place comes with everything you need for a get away and even games if you so choose to stay in for the evening.

45 days of peace and quiet

Needed a place that allowed me to walk to anything I needed. Needed a place to cook, relax, and unwind. This was a great option and super pleased I did it. Neighbor dropped off farm eggs from his chickens and his adorable female pit loved getting daily snacks and head scratches. Ellie is worth the trip alone. Thanks for the hospitality, Shannon.

Perfect!

We needed a place near Six Sigma Winery for an event. This turned out to be the perfect place! Spacious, clean, comfortable, close to the best supermarket around and other wineries we visited while in town. The owner is super responsive and attentive!

Rural home

Nicely decorated and easy check in. Nice kitchen set up and convenient 2 bathrooms. Unfortunately we 3 are 65 yr olds with orthopedic issues and asthma. There is a high stairway from first floor to second where kitchen and living room is located. Also tub mat was not clean upstairs. Had breathing trouble with windows closed due to some allergen or past pet hair.. not sure . My fault on location. Was a bit too far from Napa for our liking but was beautiful and scenic traveling to home.

My family & I have lived in South Lake County since 2004 and we love it! We love the tight-knit community and all that this area has to offer. With amazing wineries, hot springs, lakes, golf courses & more - there is so much to love about Lake County as a whole!

Wherever we travel, we prefer to stay in vacation rentals as they are much more comfortable than a hotel. So this was our chance to provide all the things we look for when we travel to others! We hope you enjoy the home and amenities. And if there is anything special you need for your trip, please don't hesitate to ask!

We love the modern feel of this home and the excellent location where you can walk to all the downtown cafes, shops, market. It's ideally located for travelers heading up to Cobb Mountain, or north to Hidden Valley Lake and beyond. The layout with one bedroom & bathroom upstairs and the other bedroom & bathroom downstairs also allows for extra privacy when traveling with another couple or group.

We have the detached cottage that is behind the main house if you need to rent it as well for even more space!
