Chic & Affordable Ybor Studio steps from 7th Ave #3

Ybor City was founded as an independent town in 1885 by a group of cigar manufacturers led by Vicente Martinez-Ybor in 1887. The original population was mostly composed of Cuban and Spanish immigrants so the influence is still strong in Ybor.
Only a 3 minute walk, and your right at the steps of one of the most historic restaurants in Tampa, The Columbia. We are excited to welcome you to Tampa. You chose a location rich with history, music, food and night life, so bienvenido!(Welcome!)
The space
The building is located in the industrial area just steps away from the heart of Ybor. This commercial building has been renovated into micro apartments with the future plans for a storefront. The buildings exterior is still under construction and we apologize as the Florida's tropical weather has delayed projects several times. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Other things to note
Free parking on premises.

Outside of building is under renovation for a building front facelift. We are mindful of guest so when work is being done, all work stops at 5pm. Please only access the front entrance during this time.

If bringing a pet, there a $20 per pet cleaning fee that be added to reservation.

We were attending an event at Armature Works and the apartment was conveniently situated just a 10 Lyft away. It was very handy for walking into Ybor.Small but comfortable for a short stay.The hosts were very responsive.

Place is very small and off the beaten path. We appreciated the location in walking distance to the rest of the neighborhood, but apartment was smaller than what we expected. If you’re traveling with someone else make sure you’re good with less than private accommodations. Otherwise, please was clean and the host communicated well. Location is great.

Good accommodations if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay. Close to historic Ybor downtown and ports, 5 kinescopes rode from downtown and convention center. Neighborhood is a bit rough and I was warned not to be outside by myself past 10PM by several different parties and drivers. I was warned to never be walking around the neighborhood Ybor after midnight - but that didn’t affect me and I had zero issues with any locals, the ones I encountered left me alone or were nice. The unit itself is a small studio apt with keyless entry points making getting in and out as simple as possible. Bed was on super firm side, pillows were firm and hard, single sink in closet sized bathroom with very little room for food prep if needed. Standard TV with Roku streaming services, a mini fridge and coffee bar above it. My unit was a bit on the dirtier side in the areas you don’t immediately see. It looked like the floor around the trim hadn’t been swept in sometime especially around the coffee bar fridge area. The bathroom and bed, visible areas, were clean. Linens seemed to be washed and clean. The attached units and entryways are loud, you can hear people coming and going especially in the hallway but that didn’t affect much. The host was very friendly and helped me locate the correct door when I arrived, that was 100% my own fault for not understanding the arrival instructions. This place is perfect if you’re not planning on staying in the room outside of sleeping.

Perfect for Gasparilla

The room had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. It was small but very efficient. We had a great time attending gasparilla, and traveling to and from downtown tampa and ybor city was super easy. A lot of stuff was walkable or a short uber trip away.

I had a great stay overall — the host was wonderful, very responsive, and clearly attentive to details. The space itself is tiny but functional, exactly as advertised, and works perfectly as a crash pad. Check-in instructions could have been a bit clearer, but once inside, everything was straightforward. A couple of things to note: the A/C is quite loud with no way to adjust the temperature (though the host thoughtfully provided a white noise machine), and the fridge also makes some noise. It’s not the quietest place, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. All in all, a solid, well-located spot with a great host.

This property is in a prime location in the historic area of Ybor City. We are close enough to walk to all the action and yet far enough away to not be disturbed by the sounds of the nightlife on 7th Avenue.
