We had a great stay , location was good for days out, our only concern was the property wasn’t suitable for anyone who had mobility issues, one of our party did and the stairs without handrails was a challenge also the pathways, we should have checked ahead of our visit

My family of four (wife and two kids aged 11 and 14)) have just finished spending six nights at this place. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is immaculate and in an extraordinarily beautiful and serene area close to Siena and other interesting towns in the Tuscany region. The home is extremely spacious with many amenities including a washing machine which we very much appreciated. We stayed during a heat wave but the air conditioning made our stay very comfortable. We also appreciated having access to the pool, and the yard was incredibly peaceful and private. There is a very small hamlet minutes up the road called San Gusme with a couple of restaurants and other places to eat nearby. We also ate many meals at the home as we wanted to spend quiet evenings on this beautiful property. After 6 nights, my wife still didn’t want to leave which sums up our experience. We hope to stay here again one day. The owners - Marina and Roberto - made us feel very welcome and were wonderful hosts. We simply could not have chosen a better place to stay. We highly recommend staying here!!!

Beautiful property with lots of space for a family of 4 adults. Well equipped and the welcome provisions were a delight. The estate and surrounding area couldn’t be more tranquil. We left fully rested and relaxed.

A very good family property or for a couple of families. The location is great to access all surrounding areas and the small town of San Gusme is a short walk to spend an afternoon.

Lovely stay in Chianti

We had a great time during our stay at a quiet country estate in Chianti with plenty of activities within a short drive. The property is well maintained and we enjoyed cooking Italian steaks on the American Weber Barbecue.

Great Accommodations!

Lovely Villa with access to a pool. The location is great for day trips to many cities such as Siena, or Florence. Barbara (house manager) is absolutely fantastic and makes your stay comfortable. She is also available to help with any needs.

Restful Tuscan escape

Spent a perfect escape week exploring the Chianti region of Tuscany at this wonderful home. Terrific beds and linens with a very well equipped kitchen. So very quiet yet accessible to numerous vineyards. Drive a small car as the roads are narrow with many twists and turns.

Lovely Farmhouse

Quiet, relatively tourist free home in Tuscany. (After all, we are tourists.) near charming small towns. The owners couldn’t have been nicer.

A wonderful villa in a beautiful setting. You could not ask for more; the accommodations, the pool, the vineyards, and the surrounding area were all stunning. If you want to experience Tuscany and all it has to offer, then this is the place to stay.

Wonderful repeat stay!

We just completed our second stay at this amazing villa, and it was even better than before! Marina is a wonderful host - attentive and easy to communicate with. The peaceful grounds of Villa Arceno can’t be beat (including the pool!). And the addition of air conditioning in the bedrooms and kitchen area since our last stay was such a wonderful bonus on those warmer Tuscany days and nights. My kids and husband are already asking when we can go back!

Our stay was lovely! Wish we could have stayed for so much longer! We loved the enchanting walk to the the small medieval town of San Gums through vineyard and olive grows and cypress trees! Absolutely stunning scenery. The location of the villa was perfect for visiting all the towns in the region. The villa itself was fantastic! We cooked most nights and had everything we needed. The Villa as spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We felt right at home. The pool was beautiful and exactly as pictured. We were 3 adults so we had tons of space. Could not have asked for a better experience! Highly Highly highly recommend!

October Bucket List

Wonderful Tuscan paradise that provided the perfect foundation for exploring the Tuscan countryside. Our hosts (Roberto and Marina) were available for every question and/or recommendation. Their provided information was so thorough that we rarely needed additional attention. Overall an outstanding holiday!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with our family. Casa il Poggio provided us with an ideal location to explore the sites, food and wines of the area. The location was ideal, the house was well excellent and the hospitality and support provided by Barbara was outstanding. Amazing property in a beautiful location/

Stayed for 5 night in mid October with pleasantly warm weather. The pool was still open which was an unexpected plus. Walking distance to San Gusme, for lunch and lots of interaction with local people. Nearby to many interesting day trips,with areas to be with family. The terrace is perfect for outdoor meals and activities throughout the day. Special thanks to Marina and Roberto for checking on us and answering any questions.

Dan, After all the good conversations we had throughout your stay and in organizing your day trips, we are surprised, astonished and sorry for your review. We both signed a gentleman agreement under which you committed yourself to advise of any problems immediately upon your arrival. Unaware of it, we were not given the opportunity to address your concerns in a timely manner. Our home care, maintenance and hospitality standard has always been great for our guests. Regretfully, this was not the case for you. We will continue to do everything we can to improve and provide a pleasant experience for our guests.

A wonderful place to connect

Beautiful and spacious farmhouse with a pool--which our 7 and 9 year old girls enjoyed VERY much. Immaculate. Great support from our hosts. We had such a relaxing time together, including card playing under a tree and nightly dinners on the terrace. Grazie Marina & Robert (and Roberta) !!

Celebrating 45 years of friendship

Everything was perfect, from check in to check out. The property is lovely and the villa is everything you’d expect to see in an Italian country villa. The hosts also connected us with a chef to cater a dinner and a cooking class! Highly recommend! Grazie mille a Roberto and Marina ! x

An amazing, memorable getaway!

What a wonderful stay my daughter and I had this past July! While we stayed for five days, I did wish we had more time. Always a good sign! Marina was a delightful host and incredible when it came to information, suggested itineraries, and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The property was beautiful, and my daughter especially loved the private pool and outdoor spaces. We will be back soon with the entire family!

Hadaways in Tuscany

This is a lovely villa with services near by, quite, well stocked. We had no issues with the operations of the house. Roberto and Marina were amazingly helpful with local sightseeing arrangements and even helped Texans navigate the Italian rail system. We have visited the larger towns in Italy and were seeking a rural Tuscany wine and food experience, this place more than met our expectations.

Charming Villa in a Corner of Tuscany Worth Exploring

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay in Roberto & Marina’s charming villa. The property description is very accurate and Roberto & Marina’s communication is excellent. There are already many accolades for their welcome basket and all are well deserved - truly makes the entry smooth and easy. The pool is crisp and clean and walks to the delightful town of San Gusmè are a must. We enjoyed the fantastic restaurant options in Castelnuovo Berardenga, and great proximity to the lovely Felsina winery. Grazie Roberto e Marina!

🌟 A Perfect Stay in a Beautiful Villa 🌟 We had a wonderful time staying at this villa! It was incredibly spacious and comfortably accommodated all six of us. The house was thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The shared pool—only between three villas—was clean, peaceful, and felt very private, which was a lovely bonus. One of our favorite parts of the stay was exploring the scenic walking trails through the surrounding vineyards. The views were absolutely stunning and led us to a charming little village where we enjoyed a delicious dinner one evening. The villa is also conveniently located within driving distance of another quaint town that has a great ice cream parlour, a cozy restaurant, and a grocery store for essentials. All in all, this was the perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

Pleasant villa in a hideaway location in tuscany

We stayed a week. Perfect organisation, well equipped house. Excellent and very quiet location. Very friendly and helpful owner. Lots of local information provided. Only drawback was the pool, which is a shared one 3 min footwalk away - didn't recognize this before. The pool is excellent though. Usable after 10 o clock ( there is a robot cleaning from 7-10).

True Tuscany Experience

Lovely Villa, great location. If you want to experience the true Tuscany this is the place to stay. Barbara welcomed us in the true Italian style even though we where a hour late, but with great humour. Villa well stocked to get you started for the first days or more. Owners Roberto and Marina tried many times to contact us upon our arrival to make sure everything was good but we where so busy exploring the region it took a few days to contact. Lovely experience, would recommend this villa to everyone.
