Waterfront Lake Buchanan!

Welcome to WATERFRONT Lake Buchanan! This home sleeps up to 10 people in beds and has ample space to enjoy friends and family while on vacation. There's a covered screen porch and massive oak and pecan trees providing plenty shade to relax under while enjoying a cool drink. We've got both hammocks and picnic tables for laying or sitting around.

There is a master with king bed, couch/futon, and private bath that has a jacuzzi tub, 1 room with 2 queen beds, 1 room with a king and a full size futon bed, and a second bathroom/laundry room. The living room, covered screen porch and side porch overlook beautiful wide open views of Lake Buchanan. After a short walk to the water, you’ll enjoy the great east facing location on Shaw island with the nearest opposite shore miles away in the distance really giving you that in the middle of the lake on an island experience.

We’ve got a boat dock with a very large 20x40 covered deck with space to tie off your boat or jet ski’s. The boat lift is not for guest use. Enjoy the beach and lake during the day and the large fire pit at night. There is not a better place to enjoy family and friends at the lake. House is equipped with FireTV including YoutubeTV, and WiFi. The dock is not guaranteed to be usable, depending on lake levels it might not be available.

We are on a very quiet part of the lake (Shaw Isand) which is great for swimming, fishing and boating. No events or parties allowed. The sandy beach in front of the house has a gentle slope which is great for kids and adults to enjoy the water. During most evenings the wind kicks up after the sun sets and there is a great breeze and wave action on the shore that makes you forget you’re at a lake and not the ocean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare your own meals, and local grocery and restaurants are within 15 minutes in both Kingsland and Llano as well as a newly added DG Market by 1431 and 261.

Looking for more to do? Head up the Colorado river in a boat and catch a glimpse of an eagle during the winter months, or, take advantage of some of the best fishing around. There are also several wineries in the area and don't forget award winning coopers BBQ nearby in Llano.

Guest can access the entire house beach area

The host is not on site but is available via text, email or phone to answer any questions.

Lazy lake living at its best! This is a residential area and we ask guest to be respectful of our neighbors.

Everything was perfect. Owner answered all questions within minutes. Home is clean and well stocked.

Loved it, we will be returning. The view and the deer were very enjoyable.

We had a great time. Deer right at the backdoor, birds at the feeder and geese flying by were so beautiful. We even had a pair of bald eagles fly directly over our heads on our last night.

Ideal Family Weekend Getaway!

This property and home are spacious, beautiful and right on the lake! Both are well maintained and stocked with everything we needed from dishes, condiments, towels, lap blankets, first aid kits, body wash shampoo and conditioner to fun indoor games, lawn chairs and water toys...and the beds are comfortable! The host really thought of everything and our teenage grandchildren were never bored! The host was also accessible and very helpful, answering all our questions prior to the trip and checking in on us via email while we we're there. I would highly recommend this place and host tho anyone looking for the ideal family weekend.

Wonderful family trip!

This property was described very well and did not disappoint. The house was very functional. We loved the beach type entry to the water. The water was a bit rough while we were there so we traveled to Shaw island which was just around the corner. It was difficult to keep the back room of the house cool so you really had to monitor the temperature settings to cool it down. Thanks for a wonderful gathering spot!

A little piece of paradise on Lake Buchanon

This is an excellent place to stay on Lake Buchanon. We rented it for a weekend guided fishing trip and selected this home for its location and proximity to the guide service. This property can sleep more people than the photos lead you to believe. There were only three of us but it could sleep up to 8 adults and 4 more kids on futon like furniture. The kitchen is great, you can tell the owners actually really cook as it has every kind of kitchen item you could need. The screen porch is a great place to hang out and play games, cards, read or just stare at the water. It was well stocked with games and floaties for the lake. I would definitely stay here again and probably will on our next fishing trip!

Great house with lots of amenities, but not the best for fishermen.

House is clean, well maintained and well stocked. The beds are comfortable , and this is a very relaxing place to stay. Great view of the lake, wildlife, etc from the living room and the screened in porch . We also enjoyed the fireplace. Not the best place for fishermen, as there is no public boat ramp nearby. Also, there is a boat stored in the dock, so you have to just tie your boat alongside the dock. The wind blew pretty much nonstop, and this area of the lake was quite rough. I would definitely recommend the house for anyone wanting to enjoy relaxing and chilling.

Glad you all had a relaxing vacation and enjoyed the lake! Sorry about any confusion on the boat lift. The boat lift is not useable by guests, however, there is plenty of space to tie off on the dock and avoid the trip back and forth to a ramp.

Great family girls weekend

Arrival was so easy. The place was clean and had a real cozy, homey feel. You're provided with almost everything you need, plus plenty of extras. The property, is gorgeous, so may shade trees, birds, and deer. The lake was a little low but that's no one's fault, so there was plenty of beach. The lake still had plenty of water to swim though, just had to walk a little further to get there😁. The communication with Victoria was always very quickly answered, and she provided many details in her pre-arrival email, so you knew exactly where things were. She also has a vast variety of books for all ages, a real plus. My mom, my sisters, and I had a great time, and I would definitely go back🥰.

Nice

When I rented this property, I was warned about the lake levels, so that was no surprise. The view was still amazing from the living room windows. We saw beautiful sunrises along with deer feeding. So relaxing. The property could be cleaner and could be updated a bit. The dishwasher smelled bad. We didn't end up using it, but instead washed our dishes by hand. Several other small things that could benefit from some cleaning. However we still had a relaxing wonderful weekend fully stocked kitchen, beds, etc. As I mentioned before the view was wonderful. I can't imagine how spectacular with the lake full.

A lovely, relaxing stay

We had a wonderful time staying in this house! The pictures actually don't do it justice, because there are lots of nice little decorating touches that please the eye. Also, the house is very well stocked with everything you might need. Its best features are the living room, the screened in porch, and the yard. We had such relaxing family times sitting in the living room, looking out the picture windows at all the beautiful sights. There were lots of deer, morning and evening and sometimes in between. And several different varieties of birds flitting around close to the windows. And of course the sparkling water of the lake is soothing to the soul. The hammocks out in the yard are really pleasant, too. My only criticism is that the beach area does have a lot of grapefruit-sized rocks that make it less than ideal. But that's only relevant because we have little kids who were swimming. If you mainly just want to sit and relax in or near the water, it's perfect!

Beautiful and Peaceful!

This was my first VRBO, so happy that it was a wonderful experience. The host answered all my questions. The home was exactly what the site it was and so much more. The property was beautiful. The weather was outstanding, Sitting by the lake around the firepit with family is was perfect. That's what we all needed. Comfy beds, inviting home, beautiful patio, and nature. We will be planning to do it again. However, during summertime! The water was cold. Lol, the temp while we were there was in the perfect 80's where as 2 days prior to that mid 30's. Texas weather for you. Thank you host!! Perfect family time.

Joyous stay!

This was our first get away as we have been quarantined since March. We felt very safe here. We loved waking up and watching the deer every morning and seeing them again every evening. Very quiet and peaceful.
