Keawakapu Retreat- " Alani" NEW LISTING ON VRBO, 4.9 Overall rating on other booking platforms!!! This recently remodeled home is nestled on over an acre property with four private homes. An estate from Old Hawaii-Days gone by. This three bedroom two bath home sits on a mature tropical landscape of seasonal mangoes, bananas, oranges, ginger, birds of paradise, surrounded by a large lawn and private tennis or pickleball court.

One Large Split AC system is efficient at cooling a majority of the house, the bedrooms each have ceiling fans for additional cooling and comfort.

Both the second and third bedrooms can be set up with either king bed or two twin beds (each) upon request and manager approval.

Fully equipped kitchen and laundry area allow for a very comfortable beach vacation. Outside there is a large covered lanai space with a dining table, lounge space and luscious additional outdoor shower.

You are just steps away from the "jewel of Kihei"- Keawakapu Beach. Tropical, comfortable and well equipped for a restful, relaxing holiday. A spectacular location!

At this property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

Some good, some bad

The good: 1. Location location location! Less than 5 minute walk from the Kihei beach. Short drive to many restaurants, bars and beaches nearby. Central Maui, so decent drive to both East and West ends of the island. 2. Very well equipped, though some of the outdoor equipment should probably have been replaced last year. 3. The host was kind enough to let us leave a few hours later than required by the terms. The bad: 1. The house was stiflingly hot when we got there. The single undersized AC unit in the living room couldn't keep up with the heat. There is no AC in the other rooms. 2. The house wasn't very clean. There was actually a dying cockroach on the living room floor when we got there (must've died from the heat). 3. The host requires a manually signed copy of the credit card invoice. You have to print it, sign it by hand, then scan it and send it back or you don't get the property's location and door code. They said it's standard and everybody does that - but in over 15 years of booking vacations online this has been a first for me.

Amazing Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in this home for 10 days during our Maui vacation (September 23rd- October 3rd 2023). We had an amazing time!. This home was perfect for our family of 6 adults (3 couples). Beautiful home located right across the street from one of the best beaches in Maui, Keawakapu Beach. The beach is clean and absolutely beautiful. We loved the sunrises, sunsets and the abundance of green sea turtles swimming in the shallow waters of this beach every day. We loved staying at this home and will definitely be back! The home was beautiful, quiet and serene. We loved eating breakfast on the Lanai every morning. The home is equipped with plenty of linens, pillows and towels. The beds were really comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and provided privacy from the other 3 homes on the property. It was such a peaceful and quiet location. It is near a street, but was not noisy at all. We stayed in a Condo on our last trip to Maui and in comparison, this home was a perfect 10! We loved the pickleball/tennis court on-site and we played pickleball each morning of our stay. There are no court lights and it is hot during the day, so morning is best. The home has plenty of chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. 2 coolers available for our day trips made it convenient to pack a lunch, drinks and snacks. We made use of the outdoor shower which became a preference for some of our guests. There is AC in the open kitchen and living room area which keeps it very cool. The bedrooms, which were not equipped with AC were a little warm early at night, but cooled down quickly with opening the windows and using the fans provided. Not a reason at all to deter us from staying here in the future. The restaurants around Kihei are incredible. Some of our favorites were Cafe O' Lei, Tante's Seafood; Coconuts, Paia Fish Market, Nalu's South Shore grill, and the Food trucks. Thanks Jim and Carole for sharing your home with our family. We will be back!

Seclusive Gem

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fabulous time at this rental. It was perfect for our family! It was tucked into a nice section of Kihei right down the road from the Four Seasons and Marriott resorts where we frequented for dinners. The lush backyard that backs onto a tennis court was PERFECT for our mornings. The back porch was one of our favorite places to hangout. The house is right across the street from a beach access point which was more than we could have asked for. The house was equipped with all beach accessories which was perfect as it allowed us to just grab what we needed and be beach front within 5 minutes! The kitchen had everything you would need and more and was very well organized! The rooms were organized in a way that fit our family perfectly. If I had one complaint it would be that there isn't central air and the rooms were really hot during the day. We had the box fans and tower fans on all day to try and pull from the AC unit in the living room to cool the rooms off. However, it did not bother us as we were normally off and exploring during the day. I truly cannot recommend this house enough. We greatly appreciate the opportunity we had to stay here and would recommend it to anyone AND would rent again if we ever have the luxury to revisit Hawaii!
