This was a wonderful place to stay. It was nearby our son and his family, and within walking distance of portage park and a great coffee shop. The library is also nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at this home during our week in Chicago. It was the perfect place for our group of four, with more than enough space for everyone to relax and feel comfortable after being out all day.The check-in process was seamless, and Jose's communication was outstanding from start to finish. Any questions we had were answered quickly, making the entire experience stress-free. He always made sure we received the information provided. The home was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, the home was clean and functional. The location was also fantastic—we had easy access from the airport and to Wrigley Field. There were plenty of grocery stores and great restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab anything we needed or enjoy a meal out. This is a home with a ground level (main house) and a downstairs with rooms, kitchen, etc. Overall, this was an excellent rental, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed home with a responsive host in a great Chicago location!

This property was everything it posted !! The kids enjoyed downstairs and us adults enjoyed the space...lol. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. I would definitely return to this home on my next visit to Chicago

A great house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a nice kitchen. We were here for a wedding with 8 adults and 1 toddler in the house. Plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and comfortable and located in a nice residential neighborhood. House was stocked with coffee, water, toiletries and plenty of linens. Plenty of off-street parking. Jose was a great host and quick to respond with any questions we had. He was very accommodating for our family and being able to invite the bride/groom and parents to the house for easy visiting. Would definitely stay here again.

True second-home experience

I can’t say enough nice things about above-and/beyond service that Allende provided; the proactive communication was top notch. From the time we booked the trip Allende shared not only recommendations for places to go, but also local neighborhood gems, things to see and do. If we had any questions, he responded promptly. The location itself is half a block from a main road but on a residential street. To us that was a positive - easy access still with the sounds of the city around us. It was not excessive but definitely not noise free. The rental felt like walking into a comfortable home. Beautiful artwork on the walls, fantastic theme (my favorite was on the west kitchen wall). The kitchen was fully stocked with cutlery, pans and pots, seasonings, some pantry essentials. It is ground level as well as fully finished basement with sufficient living space for our entire party, comfortably (4 adults and 2 older kids) and with privacy. The best part was a washer and drier on premises! The listing is as described - with additional towels, blankets available. Thank you for everything.

I chose this neighborhood because it offers a true local Chicago experience while still being incredibly convenient. Portage Park has a relaxed, residential feel with plenty of green space, and being right near Harwood Heights and Norridge adds even more great dining, shopping, and everyday conveniences.

What I love most is the balance—you’re away from the crowds and noise of downtown, but still close enough to easily explore everything Chicago has to offer. The neighborhood is walkable, welcoming, and full of hidden gems, from family-owned restaurants to great coffee spots and parks.

It’s the kind of area where you can unwind, feel comfortable, and experience the city like a local, while still having quick access to all the major attractions when you want them.

One of the things I really love about this neighborhood is how easy and comfortable it is day to day—especially when it comes to parking, which is a huge plus in Chicago. Free and reliable street parking is almost always available, making your stay much less stressful.

Another thing that makes this area stand out is that it’s made up mostly of single-family homes, which is unique for the city. There’s a real sense of pride of ownership here—neighbors take care of their homes and the community, creating a quieter, safer, and more welcoming environment.

Being right near Harwood Heights and Norridge adds even more convenience with great dining, shopping, and essentials close by, and you’re just minutes from O’Hare and major expressways for easy access to the rest of the city.
