The Bear Cave log Cabin is secluded with a hiking trail connecting to North Point County Park that leads to the beach. The Van Buren State Park beach/campground access is 0.5 miles away. The Fields General Store is right next door. The Cabin is located 3 miles from the city of South Haven. Relax on the screened porch, around the fire pit, hiking to the beach, or simply inside enjoying the log home. We cannot wait to share our home with you! The bear cave was everything we hoped and dreamed of. We stayed in January, and absolutely loved the snowy woods and the short hike to the lake from the property. The cabin itself is beyond cute, very comfortable and well laid out, and full of fun features like the electric fire/heater, games, a well stocked kitchen, and lots of cozy places to hang out. We came for the woods and it did not disappoint.

We loved the cabin and location. Being able to get on the trails to Van Buren state park from the backyard was awesome!

This cabin in the woods was the perfect get away from the every day grind. Cabin was clean and very comfortable. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Hiking trails started right outside the back door. Couldn't ask for anything more. My stay in the cabin was perfect and the snow that fell was icing on in the cake. At pretty. Definitely will book again.

Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. We enjoyed the place as newlyweds, but could also see ourselves coming time and time again later in life to enjoy with others as well.

Cute Cottage Super Cozy

Quaint and clean cottage is the perfect short or extended stay getaway with a wooded view, comfy beds, and an old-fashioned bathtub that's perfect after a day of hiking or skiing.

A little peace & Quite

The stay was wonderful. I really wish were able to stay more then one night (had to get back home to the kids). The bubble bath was heaven lol. I hope we are able to make another trip to South Haven soon.

High school friends reunion

Needed a campsite for one evening somewhere near the Kal Haven Trail. this place fit the bill perfectly. Excellent bathroom facilities and the Kal Haven Trail is right there.

3rd room listed was not really a room - just a loft with a pull out bed. Worked for our 7 person party. Hosts set up the fire pit for us, which was great!

Perfect!!!

This property is such a sweet, homey, place. It was SO clean!!! Kudos to whoever cleans it. We only stayed one night but it met all our needs. We will definitely be coming back for more of this beautiful place.

We stayed for 1 nite only, everything was right, clean place, good ubication, kitchen with everything we could need. Precious place! The only concern was the odor of the water, smell weird.

Cute space, great location

This is a great property located within walking distance to a great trail with a great view of the lake. The cabin itself is quaint but has a nice charm to it. The place was very clean. There were a few quirks with the place but that's to be expected, and nothing that drastically affected our stay.

Great Cabin in the Woods

We loved our winter stay in this cute, cozy cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable and the host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which we did. There was ample room for our family of 4, were able to hike in Van Buren State Park and along Lake Michigan from the cabin and were still minutes from town to go in for dinner. We were looking for a cabin in the woods with snow, and this delivered. We will be back to this cabin in the summer or fall to experience different scenery!

Wonderful!

Wonderful quiet spot to get away. We had our annual girlfriend getaway and this was perfect! I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the area. The cabin was very clean and comfortable in a beautiful location. I am going to try and come back in the fall. I bet the colors are amazing!
