Roll, stroll, or strut into Thunder Mountain Lodge, a fully accessible 4-bedroom cabin just 3 miles from the Parkway, nestled between the lively vibes of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Whether you’re here with wheelchairs, walkers, or wild imaginations, this Smoky Mountain retreat is your home base for an unforgettable getaway.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
~ Our property is located in a residential area so we rely on our guests to be good neighbors.
~ Please remember there is a risk associated when using a hot tub, so use at own risk. Please no food or drink in the hot tub.
~ Hot Tub covers are for insulation purposes and may not be stood on, as they will break.
~ Please keep cover on when not using the hot tub. Also, after hot tub is drained and refilled after guest, it takes up to 6 hours to get warm again.
~ Guests will be expected to clean up spills and messes they make and throw trash in the trash can.
Our cabin is fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay.
Thunder Mountain area is a newer community filled with multimillion dollar cabins without the scary mountain roads and only 3 miles from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge.
You will have full access to house during your stay.
Check in is independent. We will provide instructions before check in. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 10am.

Wheelchairs, walkers, and spontaneous dance parties welcome—leave muddy boots at the door.
Hot tub rule: No splashing unless you’re challenging the squirrels to a cannonball contest.

Main-Level King Bedroom: A haven of relaxation with luxury organic sheets, plush pillows, a flat-screen smart TV, ceiling fan, and spacious walk-in closet. Wheelchair-accessible with extra room for mobility aids, it features a private bathroom with a soaking tub, separate shower, double-sink granite vanity, wall hair dryer, organic toiletries, and plush towels.
Upstairs Bedrooms: Three inviting spaces for all:
King Bedroom: Private bathroom with double vanity, full shower, hair dryer, plus a flat-screen smart TV and full-size crib for families.
Queen Bedroom: Two queen beds, a flat-screen smart TV, and access to a shared full bathroom with a tub/shower combo.
Kids’ Bunk Room: Two twin/full bunk beds with easy-climb stairs, an air hockey table, and a flat-screen smart TV. A futon folds out to a full-size bed for extra guests.
Entertainment Galore: Host movie marathons in the main-level theater room with an 85-inch smart TV and surround sound, challenge friends to a pool table showdown in the main-floor bar area, or spark laughter in the kids’ bunk room with air hockey.
Chef’s Dream Kitchen: Fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, pots, pans, an air fryer, crockpot, seasonings, coffee pot, Keurig, glasses, dinnerware, kids’ plates, cups, silverware, and a booster seat in the laundry room.
Outdoor Oasis: Fire up the Blackstone grill (gas line included) on the back porch, roast s’mores by the fire pit in the wooded backyard, or relax in the hot tub (cover on when not in use). Rock away in front-porch chairs while soaking in mountain sunsets.

Originally from a small town in South Carolina and now I claim TN as home since 2020. I am a mom of 2 kids and a French bulldog named Halo. I have been fortunate to travel to many places and what has always stood out to me is the customer service and cleanliness are universally what matters to guests. So I strive to do that for my guests.

Thunder Mountain is the perfect place if you want to be close to all the action yet not be stuck in traffic all day just trying to get to all Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. With being only 8 miles away from Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, and 10 miles from Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, this location can't be beat. With the Great Smoky Mountains National Park being the most visited National Park in the United States, where you decide to stay is important. Although there is no wrong way to take in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, I prefer not being stuck in the traffic on the parkway so learning the backroads is important. The Lodge at Thunder Mountain has beautiful mountain views from the front porch, and a backyard the kids can actually play and adults too. There is a fire pit out back and a hot tub to enjoy on the back deck by the gas grill.
Inside on the first floor is a full sized kitchen with plenty of seating and space for everyone. A living room with flat screen cable tv and gas fireplace. Also a friendly game of pool can be played here too. Also on the main floor is a theater room with a large flat screen tv and sound system and theater seating. There is a main floor bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom with a jetted tub and a separate shower.
The remaining bedrooms are on the second floor. One with a king bed and private bathroom. Then the 3rd bedroom has a queen size bed and a bunk bed with twin on top and full on bottom. Also a crib is available in this room. There is access to a full bathroom from this bedroom as well.
Then there is a bunk room with game room attached. There are 2 sets of bunk beds with twin on top and queen on bottom. Also a futon is available. There is TV for kids gaming systems, and some arcade games, and an air hockey table to play as well.

This cabin checks so many boxes. The layout is spacious and accommodating for so many different scenarios. The driveway has plenty of space for everyones vehicles. Even trailer or camper space if needed. And the neighborhood is filled with a variety of multimillion dollar modern luxury cabins with beautiful views. Some even come with free Bear sightings. Just remember to not leave food in your car and definitely lock your doors as Bears have incredible senses of smell and tunnel vision when they smell food.
