This oceanfront duplex boasts five beautifully appointed bedrooms, two levels of deck space, and an enclosed outdoor shower for rinsing off after beach day activities. This property also includes a seasonal community pool available to guests.

After a long day of beach, sight-seeing or golf, you can rock the night away in one of the rocking chairs overlooking the ocean, the pool, and the Surf City Pier.

The first level is home to three of the bedrooms, a laundry room with a washer/dryer, and a deck with ocean views.

The second level is home to the living and dining areas, the kitchen, and a bedroom. The spectacular kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a full size refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, a four-burner range, and oven. It has everything you may need from coffee maker and a toaster to plates, glasses and utensils. The cabinets are a beautiful wood and the countertops are pristine granite. The large square table offers formal seating in additional seating at the bar. The living area provides a tasteful and relaxing space to unwind after a day of sun and surf, golf, or sight-seeing. This room opens onto a deck with endless views of the ocean. It's a perfect place to end the day.

Good location but disappointed in service. The apartment was for 12 people but we were provided only 10 bath towels. It took two days to bring 2 more towels. There were no sheets for one of the beds and it took 3 days to get them. The cookware is worn out and needs to be replaced. I enjoyed the location but will avoid Vacasa in the future.

Difficult to rate this one. Location is great - the ability to walk out of your backdoor to visit the pool and beach, as well as access most restaurants within walking distance is so nice. Check in and check out were super easy. However, please know the property is not well maintained. It needs some investment as well as a major deep clean. Windows were dirty, surfaces felt sticky, kitchen pots/pans were all busted, the sliding doors out to the beach stuck from dirty tracks, ceiling fans and air vents are caked in dust, and black mold was growing in the upstairs bathroom ceiling due to water leaks. The kitchen did not come stocked with any wine glasses (horror!) and one of the beds was not even made up when we arrived. Also, one important detail to note is this is really a 4 bedroom home imo, as the (super rickety) bunk beds in the so called 5th room are in a converted supply area with no windows, no closet, and no accessible bathroom on the bottom floor. You don't want young children down there. Lastly, the AC on the top floor stopped working while we were there, which was annoying but I can say that Vacasa handled it swiftly and sent a technician to fix within 4 hours.

Fishing Day

We love the fact the house is ocean. View walking distance from the pier. Very relaxing atmosphere, large and spacious. My family and I will stay there again.

Perfect getaway.

The house was amazing and so many rooms to spread out. Great location we could walk to restaurants. Beautiful views! I will definitely be booking another trip.

Dream Location in the Heart of Surf City

This house was exactly as pictured, wonderful location with amazing access to pool and beach. There was plenty to do in the immediate area, close to virtually everything on the island, most within walking distance. Check in/out process was seamless and hosts were responsive. Would highly recommend and will be back - thank you!

Great vacation cottage

The view of the ocean and fishing pier was amazing! The decorations were great! I really liked the openess of the kitchen and living room. The swimming pool was an added plus! It was an overall excellent experience!

Fun inthe Sun

Great location. Local fish market close to the property. Ammenities close by or only a short drive off of the island. The beach was wonderful. The property was spacious and provideded everything needed for a great vacation.

First time

This was our first time renting this home. There are some minor things that could be done differently, cleanliness needs to be a priority. Local office was responsive and met our needs. The house needs to be deep cleaned, I know we are at the beach but everything just felt sticky, the oven needs to be cleaned. Some of the furnishings need to be updated, bunks on first floor are very wobbly, my kids slept on an air mattress with us instead. Having a pool, laundry and elevator were a plus to this house. The view and decks made up for the inside of the house because we spent most of our time outdoors.

Amazing!!

The property was much more than we expected. A beautiful shared pool and 2 balconies overlooking the Atlantic and the Surf City Pier. House had everything we needed. A few more frying pans would have been more convenient. Minor detail. I can still hear the waves crashing as I’m back in the city. Walk to restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream parlor. Everyone was friendly. Vacasa was a great host and we will definitely be returning!!

Location is Perfect

I stayed here three years ago, was disappointed there had not been any updates since my last visit. First the pros…. Location is perfect… near Daily Grind where we ate everyday, Daddy Mac’s and Shaka Taco, etc….super convenient. Elevator also makes moving in and out so much easier. Beds are really comfortable- my back usually hurts after 3 nights in a bed other than my own, and that did not happen. Open concept in living room makes it easy to gather…and the view is spectacular!!!! I had a great time! Cons: needs a deep cleaning, especially the bathrooms. Living room furniture and rugs are soiled and need updating- I brought blankets to keep them covered. I hate palmettos… really wish there weren’t any in the main living area. Will definitely rent again if upgrades are made because I love the location so much and have made great vacation memories here.

Great location, but needs significant TLC in the house

This house gets two stars for its beach access and location in surf city, but it suffers significantly from cleanliness and general maintenance issues. The blinds to the third floor patio window were completely broken, detached from the window, and unusable for the duration of our stay. The elevator worked, however it could not be opened properly most of the time without jamming a screwdriver into a hole drilled into the elevator door. The manager is aware of this as they have left instructions to use a screwdriver to open the door if it is jammed. The shower in the street-facing bedroom on the second floor was a slipping hazard due to the soap scum build-up that made it too slippery to use. A pair of socks that did not belong to us were found next to the king bed. Several pieces of furniture were ripped/broken and should be replaced. Additionally, there were stains on the furniture. The sheets that were provided were starched and coarse to the touch. The stove burners didn’t have indicators for heat so we were unable to cook food properly as we were unable to determine the heat level. This is not an exhaustive list of the issues that we noticed. We were pleased that the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, silverware, etc. All in all this rental has great potential to be a fun and pet-friendly stay in the heart of Surf City, however we would recommend that the owner/realtors dedicate more attention to general cleanliness and upkeep of the home’s functionality.

Good location

Nice house but could use some TLC in the main living area. Blinds broken, mold in ice and water despenser. Wifi very spotty. Pool and elevater was great. Perfect location.
