We loved our stay in Bethel. This was our second summer coming. Perfect for families! It has everything you need. The water is beautiful and our kids had so much fun.

Property was very clean & well stocked when we arrived . Plenty of room for us all. The road out front was busier than we expected . Most of one side of the lake had to go by us. Many big dump trucks as well went back & forth. The beach and water were perfect . Overall a nice stay .

Beautiful lake house in the mountains

This property is absolutely beautiful, immaculate and well equipped. We enjoyed the house, the lake and Bethel. We hope to return next summer.

A Beautiful Lodge on Songo Pond

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A wonderful place to stay in September! We invited old friends to celebrate a 70th birthday and had a wonderful time. The house is well appointed and was very clean; the beds were very comfortable and there was no shortage of hot water. The gas grills made for wonderful cooking outdoors on the deck. Although it was cool and the maples had started to turn, we did swim (my wife and I are Mainers). The bird life was a treat: a pair of bald eagles fishing, several loons and many Canadian geese. Oh, and a flock of turkeys who held a dance party on the beach early every morning.The town of Bethel, perhaps ten minutes north, was a complete surprise. We particularly appreciated the Mineral and Gem Museum (a must see), Gemini Cafe and Bakery, and the sizable bank of charging stations for EV's next to Mainely Provisions Market. We even managed to find a place to view the LED lights on the top of Mount Washington to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the attack on the Twin Towers.Two hopes:1) Route 35 gets repaved soon; 2)you replace both indoor and outdoor light bulbs that are out.

Perfect lake house

The house is beautiful, spacious and immaculate. Our family had plenty of room to dine together or spread out for different activities. Everything that we needed was provided. It has a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The swimming area was sandy and clear. We enjoyed the kayaks and tubes. Everyone said it was our best vacation house and didn’t want to leave. We hope to stay again next year!

Perfect family week

We had the best family week. House was everything we could have asked for. Songo Pond, beach area and dock were perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 children. We enjoyed the fire pit and screened porch. The ducks, bald eagle and loon family were fun to watch. We would definitely love to return. The house was as amazing as the photos online. We also loved the location near Bethel for golf, groceries, breweries and Sunday River Resort gondola ride.

The beach area is a wonderful spot for any age. The house is fully equipped with everything that you would need. We were sad to leave but we know we will be back! Four Seasons was wonderful to work with. They always go out of their way!

End of summer stay

Our stay was great for the most part. The location was close to town, the sandy beach and dock were great for swimming and fishing for our kids. The house overall had most that you needed. A couple of things to note. There was no outdoor furniture out on the upper porch off of the master bedroom. That would have been nice to have so you could sit outside and use/enjoy it. The fire pit had some nice Adirondack chairs but there was one very broken chair that was a hazard that should have been removed. There were also quite a few broken canoe paddles left to be used as well as dishes still down by the fire pit when we arrived. I think if there was more attention to detail and doing walkthroughs of the property by the manager to see if anything is broken or needs to be tossed or replaced that would have been more welcoming.

Beautiful location, cozy stay

What a perfect spot and a cozy stay. House had everything we needed for two couples, a single adult, and the three kids among us all! Host was very responsive. Even though one of our three long weekend days was rained out, every single day of our trip was wonderful. Highly recommend! A few things to know about the property- the bunk room is in the basement along with a great game/TV room and a 3/4 bath. For our bigger kids this was perfect; might not be as great for toddlers or little kids who sometimes still need a 2am drink of water and a snuggle. Absolutely perfect for tweens and teens who want to be able to sleep in while you enjoy your coffee by the lake, though! The range is electric, works great with plenty of cooking utensils and cookware. We did a combination of campfire cooking, eating out and eating at the house; it worked great. The basement is a very tidy basement, and it’s also still a basement in Maine. If you’re there in the fall and your little girls have delicate constitutions you might want to go on a quick daddy-longlegs hunt in the bathroom before you send them down there (or not; I hear exposure therapy builds character!) The fire pit by the pond just can’t be beat. We were there too late to swim but it looks amazing. Hopefully we’ll make it back for a longer stay at a warmer time! Many thanks to the lovely host and lovely house.

Family vacation

Family/Friends Vacation

Beautiful house with direct access to waterfront. We had so much fun fishing, kayaking, swimming and jumping off of the swim out dock. Many lazy mornings spent on the deck overlooking the beautiful scenery. House was plenty big for 9 people.

Great stay!

Great spot with ample yard space for lawn games and access to the canoe and kayak was awesome! In the house, everything was clean easily accessible. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a Maine getaway to book this house.
