We do stock the home with an initial set of essentials for guest arrival, but we understand expectations can vary depending on group size and length of stay, and we will certainly share your feedback with our team for review. Regarding check-in, while we do offer early check-in whenever possible, it is unfortunately never guaranteed as it depends heavily on the cleaning and inspection schedule for the day. Guests are typically notified if the home is ready before 4 PM; however, this particular rental is usually not ready until the standard check-in time. Even once cleaning is completed, the home must still go through a final inspection to ensure everything is properly prepared for arrival. This property does not allow early check-in; however our system had sent the early check-in automated text in error. We truly apologize for the mis communication. In regards to the wristbands and passes, we had sent the link for registration as well as information regarding where to pick up on September 20 and 27. This was in the guidebook. The book had the link as well as a map indicating pick-up station. You could have also reached out to us directly and we would happily assist. Regarding early check-in, we do offer this option when possible, but it is not guaranteed as each property must be fully cleaned and inspected prior to guest arrival. While a property might appear ready from the outside, there are sometimes a few touch-ups or final inspections that need to be completed before check-in. Should the property be ready prior to 4 PM, guests are always notified. That said, we recommend planning for the standard check-in time of 4 PM to avoid any unexpected delays. Hi Misty, Thank you for bringing your family to stay with us at beautiful Maison de Joie. We are incredibly sorry to hear that we let you down during your vacation. Guest safety and satisfaction is our top priority, which is why we had a local gas company as well as an appliance vendor come to assess the kitchen ventilation system and the stove. Our maintenance team went out behind them to ensure we know how to properly assist our guests should a concern like this ever arise in the future at any of our properties. We did take multiple calls and respond to your text messages, as we do not leave any messages unanswered before we leave each day. Your vacation truly is our passion, and we are dejected that this was your experience with us. Prior to your arrival, when you contacted us regarding the possibility of rescheduling your reservation, we immediately escalated your request for management review due to the medical circumstances. Before a final determination was needed, we were informed that your grandmother was able to travel and that an exception was no longer necessary, so your reservation proceeded as scheduled. While our team responded and coordinated service requests, we regret that several issues; including the internet outage, plumbing concerns, and appliance problems impacted your vacation and were not resolved to your satisfaction.
