Indstillingen for denne leje er UNIK - fred og ensomhed nær haveventyr og badelandsparker. Nyd en privat natursti og se ofte hjorte, elg, kolibrier og andet dyreliv. En naturelskere glæder sig!

Det sover 13 voksne komfortabelt, men der er liggeunderlag, der er velegnet til op til 4 mere, hvis børn eller voksne, der ikke har noget imod en afslappet indstilling. We had a great stay at James home! There were 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. It was an ideal location for crabbing.

The property was exactly as described. The grounds were well taken care of and beautifully manicured. We did feel like we were retreating from life for a few days as the home and surroundings are so beautiful. Thank you to our host for being so kind, understanding and prompt in any communication that we had with him.

This was our second time to spend a week here with family. This property is a real gem. Lots of room for large families or groups. Lots of privacy. The kitchen is well stocked if you are planning on cooking. The host is very helpful.

The property was terrific, and the photos don’t do it justice! It’s conveniently close to Cape Lookout, and the house has a very private and secluded feel, even though it’s not too far off the road. It was clean, and the owner was easy to work with.

The grounds are out-of-this-world magical, totally unexpected and really the highlight of this stay. The house is large and provides ample bathrooms for all. Gorgeous views of the bay from the second floor and foyer. Kind and communicative host. We enjoyed it very much.

Great place for family weekend!

This home is lovely! The grounds are unbelievably gorgeous. The home is comfortable, cozy, and perfect for a family or friends getaway. The location is perfect - minutes from Tillamook, Netarts, Cape Lookout. The owner and local manager super easy to communicate with. Everything was perfect. We will definitely return!

Family Gathering

This is an amazing property. We have stayed at many different properties from Cannon Beach to Netarts area. This is the nicest and best equipped home we have had the pleasure of staying in. It is great for family get togethers. The kitchen is very well stocked and ready to cook for a family. The beds were wonderful. The yard is amazing, lots of birds, rabbits, and two deer. This is a very quiet, private property.

Beautiful property but dirty home

This home is located in a beautiful location near Netarts Bay. The grounds are well maintained with two small trails and a fun ladder ball court. 10 minute drive to the beach and about 20 minutes to the Tillamook cheese factory. Unfortunately, it appears the bathrooms, toilets, showers, and sinks have not been cleaned in between tenants. We found dried shampoo on the shower floor, mildew, and mold along the grout of the showers and sinks. I did notify the property owner and they said it has been hard for them to get good help with cleaning it. Given the price for this property I would have expected it to be clean. Overall it's a great property, but for the price I expected it to be clean.

Great place for families!

What a wonderful place to stay. Property was quiet and isolated allowing for kids to enjoy the outdoor space. Had everything that you could want in a stay on the coast. Had a nice trail with a guide book and posted stopping points. Wildlife was everywhere and large decks in front and back for viewing. Short drive to state beaches and close to town.

Friends & Family

Wow - what an amazing property. We had a great time. Ten of us stayed four nights with others coming for a night. This was the most stocked house we have ever stayed at, which to say we over packed. The 2nd fridge and additional tables and chairs came in handy as we set up game tables in the garage and kept the fun going all weekend. We would definitely stay again. Reading the past reviews, some things we brought along came in handy, mattress pads. We bought some cheap ones on Amazon worth the buy as the beds are firm. We did a lot of outdoor games and the mosquitoes do enjoy the thick grass and wonder landscape, so bring bug spray. Other than that everything else you might have forgotten and/or want to do is 15 minutes away in Netarts or Tillamook. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Beautiful and HUGE property with so much privacy.

So fun for families. Everything is well stocked. Close to beaches, activities. Beautiful landscaping and private walking trails. Tons of room for lots of different ages.

Amazing stay for a our family!

Our family, ranging from age 2 to 75, loved staying in this home SO much. Jim was a responsive and respectful communicator, the house layout was perfect, the space was comfortable, the outdoor trails were fun for all, and the walls were insulated perfectly so everyone could get good sleep regardless of noise. Would absolutely love to bring our family back again!

Lovely stay

The grounds of the property are even more beautiful than the pictures convey, so thank you for taking the time to do such thoughtful landscaping. The house is laid out really well, spacious, and inviting. Cozy fireplaces and a thoughtful kitchen made the house outstanding. Great deck, ample parking, great storage. Internet connectivity was an issue, though the property owner made an attempt to fix it. If you don't need internet, perfect property. My family would happily stay here again.

Memorial gathering

Overall, this is a great house and property. Design wise, it served my large family well. Some things need repair, though. Jetted tub and internet did not work. One of the chairs at the table needs gluing because the top piece is disconnected from the rings. The deck railing similarly is loose or disconnected and was a safety concern with a toddler. A couple small cleanliness issues (my daughter found fake eyelashes in the bedroom rug and her upstairs bathroom wasn’t clean) but overall I had no complaint with that. The grounds are stunning, my grandkids loved the nature trails, and the view of the water through the trees was beautiful. Netarts is my happy place. We were here to memorialize and say goodbye to my parents and brother, so the beauty was most welcome. Would stay here again.

Amazing views and private location

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was great as it wasn’t far from the beach or Tillamook, but the property was stunning! We loved exploring the trails and picking wild blackberries. The kids loved seeing the wildlife in the yard and seeing the bay from the front windows. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated all the information provided about the area, including some personal recommendations from Greg. It’s definitely not the most modern house with high tech amenities, but we preferred being outside and exploring the area! There were a few things about the stay that were less than ideal. We loved meeting Greg as he was so kind and informative, but a self check-in option would have been great after a long day. Coordinating a time to meet Greg at the house was a little stressful with traffic and unexpected stops that comes when traveling with kids. Mostly we just felt bad that we were late meeting him there. The cleanliness of the home wasn’t amazing, as one of the beds didn’t have clean sheets, there were dead bugs on the carpet and bathroom sinks. Given the location of the house, it wasn’t surprising. Definitely worth putting up with a few extra bugs to have such an amazing property! We absolutely loved our stay and our son is still talking about how much he loved “the yellow house in the forest.”

Private and peaceful

Spacious, airy and perfect for large families. We loved the setting for our family to explore the coast and have a place to hang together in the evening. The layout of the rooms and baths worked for each family unit and appreciated the pack n play, high chairs etc. Downside: downstairs shower broken, mice running through living room and kitchen, with tons of mice droppings on stove, pots and pans and kids toys. Kinda gross. Slightly awkward having the host open every cupboard together, show every room and closet and give us the lecture....just type it up or something.

Great Escape in Nature

We loved staying at Whiskey Creek Retreat! Plenty of room for the 14 of us. James and Greg, the property manager, was great at communicating and answering questions I had about the area. We loved having the forest right in the back yard with a trail. Plenty of room for the kids to play outside. We spent the day at Rockaway beach shopping and playing at the beach.

Steve Matiaco of Forest Hills Builders worked in the Forest Grove area and on the coast for twelve years. When he came across this property, the view was what caught his eye. He purchased the property, cleared a portion of it and carefully constructed the home where it would capture the panoramic view of Netarts Bay and the surrounding mountains. In 2013, Jim & Dawn Fazio of Moscow, Idaho, joined Steve as partners and in 2015 became its managers with family friend Greg Sands as the local representative. All love and enjoy the peaceful setting, panoramic views and nearby coastal features.

The perfect setting for nature lovers and family activities. Unrivaled as a quiet, peaceful location with large lawn space. Completely private. Special off-season rates for individuals or couples that are not published. Contact owner for information. Excellent parks and beaches within a few miles in both directions.

If you are a first-time visitor, you will especially appreciate the notebook in the kitchen. It shares some of the owners' favorite places to visit nearby, complete with detailed directions. There is other information ranging from how to dig clams to who to contact under any circumstance. And enjoy walks on our private nature trail through a mature spruce and hemlock forest. Guide booklets are in the house for your use.
