Charming Wooded Cottage Minutes from Downtown
Baileys on the Rocks "Arbor" Cottage is situated on a wooded lot just across the street from Lake Michigan and within walking distance to all that downtown Baileys Harbor has to offer. The cottage was completely renovated in 2012, and features so much character with it'svaulted ceilings, open floor plan, Door County field stone fire place and a bright, beautiful kitchen.
The cottage is 1 story (1,074 sq ft), so once you enter the house there are no stairs. 1 bedroom features a queen-sized bed while the other bedroom has a set of twin beds. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. The bathroom features a tub/shower combo.
Guests have full access to the cottage. The cottage is on a shared lot with another cottage, and while both cottages have their own separate outdoor space, we ask that you be respectful of the guests occupying the other cottage.

Family get-away

Our family visits regularly but had never been to Door County. We love Baileys Harbor ... quieter than bayside ... and Arbor Cottage was a perfect stay for us. Clean. Well equipped. Gorgeous setting. And our host, Jamie, was very responsive. A wonderful stay!

Wonderful spot!

We loved staying at Bailey’s on the Rocks! The house was clean, beautiful, very cozy, and we appreciate that the (very responsive) host left lots of activities for our little one so he was well-occupied during our stay! The location is close to downtown Bailey’s Harbor, and all of the amenities inside were very modern, clean, well-maintained, and easy to use. There are two buildings available: One facing the lake, and another one facing the road. The one closer to the road was definitely more modern, but because of its close proximity to the road, you would sometimes see people walk by, or you would hear vehicles zooming by. Not a dealbreaker, but just something to be aware of. Honestly, other than that minor quibble, we have absolutely no complaints about the property and we had a very comfortable stay! Highly recommended if you are visiting Door County and looking for a quiet retreat in a beautiful and quaint little town!

Perfect cottage in Door County!

Almost don't want to share so we can keep it our secret! This was our favorite Vrbo we have ever stayed at...it was incredibly well-equipped, we had detailed communication with Jamie, and it surpassed our expectations with how walkable the cottage is to Baileys Harbor. Baileys Harbor itself is so charming and has some awesome places to eat and drink but is also a short drive to anywhere else you want to check out in Door County. As a family traveling with a 2 year old, the extra touches like having a stroller, toys, and books for her to play with were an added bonus. We look forward to a return visit!

Adorable cottage

I had a wonderful stay at this cute 2-bedroom cottage in the woods above the lake! The property was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and communication with Jamie was excellent. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat!

Bailey’s Harbor wedding

We had a great stay for a family wedding in Bailey’s Harbor. The cabin’s location was perfect for everything we needed. It was a great property, clean and had all the amenities you could ever want. 5 stars all the way around.

Magical cottage on the quiet side of Door County

The cottage was cozy and quaint with lots of amenities. It was easy to locate and is close to popular attractions and lots of hiking trails. The kitchen with island and lots of appliances helped us cook delicious, homemade meals. The fireplace kept us cozy warm. Cottage felt private, being tucked away off of the main street.

Clean, close & comfortable

Our Thanksgiving stay at the Arbor Cottage exceeded our expectations. First and foremost, it was CLEAN! If I come into a rental and have to spend my vacation time cleaning because I’m skeeved-out, not gonna be happy. This place was immaculate. Second, being located on the “quiet side” of DoCo was perfect for us. A quick drive and you can be on the bay side with lots to do in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay. Granted this time of year things slow down all over the peninsula, so if you visit in summer, there will be plenty of action right out the front door. Lastly, the cottage was so comfortable. The interior is thoughtfully curated with lovely furniture and decor. Open concept for gathering in the kitchen, dining and living room. Nicely appointed kitchen for meal prep. Lots of games, books and puzzles for all ages. Jamie, our host, was a dream to work with. She was very responsive and helpful in all of our interactions. The Arbor Cottage is the standard by which all others will be judged. We will definitely be back.

Arbor cottage

The cottage is lovely. It is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Anything a guest might need for a perfect stay is provided. It looks s also a great location! This is my at least my 4th stay at the cottage. I’m looking forward to returning again!!

Short stay

We would have loved to stay longer but only had time for 2 nights. Perfect location - walkable to restaurants and very short drive to Door Shakespeare. Nice house with great outdoor spaces. Very clean and quiet.
