This studio condo was perfect for my husband and I for a nice getaway at the beach. It was equipped with everything we needed to cook and relax. It was located in a quiet area just steps away from the beach. We truly enjoyed the ourselves while being comfortable in the condo. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beach without all of the chaos.

The kitchen had everything I needed for cooking and reheating our meals. Plenty of sitting room on the large couch and stools for sitting at the counter.

Fantastic

This studio was everything and then some! My dogs and I enjoyed our stay immensely (actually stayed a few more days) it is in the heart of PCB. It was an amazing stay and the weather was perfect for the 9 days here! Looking forward to coming back and hope to stay here again.

perfect!

me and my husband had an amazing time! everything was clean and well furnished, we had all the cooking supplies we needed and the kitchen was super nice. the bathroom was very spacious, and they gave us extra towels which came in handy. the tv swiveled and so it was very nice to watch tv in bed. property management was very easy to communicate with and we even booked an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. we will be back! thanks to the host for an excellent stay!

Very pleased

Condo had pots and pans and the gas stove and oven were both working. My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay great location. Very close walking distance to enjoy the beach and all of the busy tourist pier activities are close as well. We enjoyed the quiet area to relax. The condo was cleaned with plenty of towels and well stocked to cook food so we did not have to go out every meal.

Location location!

Most things were as described in VRBO listing, the proximity to the beach access was PERFECT. Very limited space to be outside, a patio that barely fits 2 chairs; driveway is other option. Pet friendly but due to the awful burrs ( nature, beyond anyone’s control) an area of “sod” would be beneficial. Kitchen was lovely but lacked a few average items ( easily found at Dollar General or thrift store). Biggest omission was cleaning supplies, broom provided ineffective with sand. Yes, we dragged in 1/2 the beach! Just be prepared to get on your own things to make it “ homey” for a lengthy stay.

5 min walk to beach

The room was very clean and check in was super easy. We also enjoyed the pavilion, swing and grill. It was great to be able to take our dogs with us, but the grass was loaded with sand burrs. The poor dogs. I wouldn’t let them walk in the grass anymore. The TV didn’t work either. I called for maintenance a couple of times, but it never worked. We definitely were not there for tv, but would have been nice to have in the evening. Overall, we had a nice time. The location was great, room was clean and locals were friendly.

Overall GREAT!

We had a great stay! This condo is located in a great area of PCB on Laguna Beach. The beach access it’s a VERY short walk and it was not crowded like the more commercial pcb properties. The kitchen area and appliances are TOP TIER. We cooked multiple seafood boils supplied by a local fish market located 2 minutes away. It was superb. For some warning for future renters: We did have a hard time keeping the sand at bay. Attaching a hose to the outlet by the door would be a game changer for property cleaners and renters. As mentioned in other reviews, the grass burrs are pretty bad. BUT they are only bad in the grass pad that is located immediately out the door the right. If you avoid that area, the burrs are not a problem. It rained super bad and the doors did leak some. We put a blanket down in front of the doors to soak up the wetness and it wasn’t a problem. Washing clothes is not a problem, but drying clothes cost 4.50 cents so be prepared with quarters! Overall, we had a great stay a did not want to leave. :)

Cold weather-need Heat

LOCATION was great the studio apt was just the right size for hubby n I. No pot/ pans to cook --we like to cook not go out for every meal. It was still winter time we expected cool weather EVEN at the beach however it Rained and was Cold the apt has a split A/C Heat unit(gas) after calling property management and they called maintenance we figured out Not enough Gas to run stove n heating.1 chilly nite 1 cold nite Other we like this place. Spring time would be great. Just be sure to ask if Gas cylinder has been filled

Poor communication

First off there was no hair dryer. Comfort Inn has them. No instructions on how to operate TV. Someone came by while we were gone and turned it on all we wanted was someone to tell us how to work it. Most rental’s we’ve used in the past started us out with initial paper supplies .

Great location to the beach

pros: within easy walking distance to the beach, cold air, updated, nice kitchen and bath, great location in Laguna Beach, comfortable king bed. great for a long weekend stay. cons: studio had a distinct smoker smell, but smelled like it was coming from the connected apartment through the walls. There are no curtains in the room at all. blinds only, so the outside lights at night make it near impossible to get a good night's sleep. the side rock/grass area is loaded with prickly grass (stay out with your dog) and really not any good area for your dog to potty. You have to walk down the street or in the neighbors yard. The immediate neighbors next door/across street seem to be locals and not tourists, so we didn't seem to feel real welcomed.

Dog Friendly Condo

This condo was great for my husband, me, and our dog. The location was awesome, only a few minutes of a walk from the beach. A short drive to pier park, trails, and plenty of other activities, but not be in a busy spot of town. We loved the bed, kitchen, and lights in this condo. There is not a dishwasher but we did not mind hand washing our dishes when we cooked in. (Love the sink) Just be careful to inspect the dishes before you use them. A few kitchen items were dusty/dirty that I had to clean before using. There also isn’t a washer/dryer for use. We stayed for 5 days so we had to reuse towels. Our dog absolutely loved it. We walked him every morning in the neighborhood and took him to nearby trails and the pier park dog beach! Lots of nearby dog friendly activities. The shower was great to rinse him off if needed and the floors are easy to clean up from sand tracked in. Overall great experience.

Casa place week

Over all the place and the pictures matched up well. Call management to ask for a maintenance to come check an issue with a water. He called and never showed up. I called and he said he would come in the morning and never came. They did supply everything they said and more. Our most frustrating thing is this is a pet friendly place in which we paid a deposit and there was no were my dog could use the bathroom because of sand burs. My husband had to go to the garden supply and buy 10 pieces of sod just to have a place for my dog to go. I know it can be difficult to keep up , but if you allow animals to stay it only make sense to have a place for them to pee without getting hurt.

Closeness to beach makes it all worth it.

I would book again for the size of the space for the two of us, the closeness to the beach and beach entrance. The kitchen could have some bigger pots and more items, but we had no problems cooking just had to make smaller portions. When I did speak to someone they were nice. The space cooled down super quick with the fan. If I wanted to be overly critical I could, but we got exactly what we needed out of the place for the two of us and our dog. The only "complaints" if you want to call them that are : Property management wasn't very consistent, and for the last three days of our stay the wifi was out, no one ever got back to us so we couldn't watch any tv, and had to hotspot our own devices. The biggest thing to me is the sandspurs for a pet friendly property the one spot of grass we had was slap FULL of sandspurs; when our dog went out even walking on the driveway he'd get them stuck in his paws, we had tons stuck in our feet and his by the end of the trip - only going to the yard one time once we noticed the sandspurs. The things I didn't like weren't major enough not to book again, but I would hope they'd be changed because it's not too hard of a fix. I would give warning to guests about the sandspurs if they're not removed just so they can watch out for their pets. If you're looking for a small place for you and your partner, this is a good one.
