Downtown Madison Trip

We absolutely loved this place! Perfect spot with a pier on the water. My kids were catching fish within minutes. The house was perfect and Jake couldn’t have been easier to work with. Highly recommend!

Perfect for a quiet family stay!

The house was perfect for the 4 adults we had staying. Adorable house; extremely clean and great location. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was spacious enough for us to make dinner one of the nights. Highly recommend!

Great Experience and Awesome Hosts

The property was as advertised and wonderful for our many trip to Madison. The host was extremely communicative and I feel sure that had we had any issues, they would have responded immediately. Thank you so much for making our first time to Madison so memorable!

Psu beat Wisconsin yeah!

Overall a very good place Close to all we wanted to do. House clean with all we needed. View out the back of house of lake beautiful! Only negative may me front of house on a very busy road .

A lovely house!

Everything about our stay was fantastic! The house was nicely decorated and extremely clean. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Shower was great. A perfect place for our group of friends to spend a long weekend. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Lake Monona gem!!

The accommodations were accurately reflected by the owner. This husband and wife team were very responsive with inquiries. The many updates to this property make the property highly functional and it's location to the campus and State are convenient.

Wedding Day Bliss

We rented this house to get ready for my daughter's wedding. The house was perfect, very clean & in an awesome location. Jake was very easy to work with! He ensured our morning went perfect for the big day ahead. Rent this property! You won't regret it!

Great memories made!

The property itself was perfect for our group of 8 adult laddies! The bedrooms rooms where above our expectations. The full kitchen was perfect for our private chef to come in and make us a memorable dinner and the dinner it’s self was on the back deck on the water as the sunset! It was by far the best girls trip! Thank you for having us Jake! Highly recommended!

Wonderful location and views, and comfortable house!

We were a family of four, and we really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage on the Yahara River. The three bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are comfortable, with nice ceiling fans. The living room is fairly spacious, with a comfortable sitting area and a large TV for watching family movies. We loved having a private dock where my son loved to go fishing. The owners were super friendly and helpful, and their communication was excellent! We loved using the kayaks that came with the property, and had fun boating to local restaurants and bars. This house is also walking distance to several restaurants and cafes. Overall, we stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed our stay!

Grad School Cohort Weekend

We are a bunch of Art Therapy Graduate students from Edgewood. This was our last residency before graduation and we wanted to stay together. You're home was the perfect place for us to finish out our Graduate experience together. In your beautiful home lifetime bonds were solidified! Thank you! You are so welcoming & communicated clearly & timely. You have put a lot of passion & talent into this lake home and it shows! We wish we could give you a TEN star review... but 5 star will have to do! Maybe we'll come back for a reunion some day!

Perfect Getaway

Fantastic few days with our daughter, son-in-law and three grandkids3-8. Loved the house. Location just down the block from great boat launch. Dock at house was a perfect spot to tie up our boat. The deck was perfect for family meals and so great for evening gathering. Kids loved the huge wall Connect Four and the foosball table. Enjoyed kayaking on two provided kayaks. House is decorated very nice. Took many pics for inspiration. Parking was enough for our boat trailer and three more vehicles. Host was super responsive. All needs were met. They thought of everything.

I don't like cold showers or a lack of concern for safety

I probably wouldn't leaving such a strong review, although I'd argue the photos of the property were a tad generous, however I don't like cold showers. Some could squeeze out a lukewarm shower if they finagled the handle into just the right position. Otherwise the handle was in a state that turning it to hot did not cause a major temperature change. I can't imagine the handle got into such a state just by sitting there, but maybe we were just unlucky and it had worked just fine for all previous guests. Additionally, the fire alarm system seemed to be malfunctioning during our stay and kept indicating a fire for 2-3 seconds before shutting off again. This occurred a few times during the morning hours, before, around about 4, I reached out to Jake. He suggested disconnecting the specific fire alarm that seemed to be tripping the system and indicated that he'd stop over the next day to take a look at the system. I disconnected one of the alarms, and we were able sleep again. By itself, the alarm malfunctioning isn't really the point of complaint, the main issue was that Jake then never showed up. Thus we slept another night with a fire alarm system whose operating state we weren't sure of. This part was particularly unnerving as I'd argue most fire alarms shouldn't start indicating a fire and then suddenly decide to automatically shut off. We left a note mentioning both of these issues, so if you happen to run into them during your stay, I'd say Jake didn't show up yet again.

We had a fantastic stay at this adorable lake house! The accommodations were perfect for our family of 6 adults - especially the beds! Great location to visit our son who attends UW-Madison and plenty of restaurants nearby. Jake was amazing with communication for check in and check out. Highly recommend!

We had a great time on our weekend trip to Madison. Location was super quick to get to downtown, house was clean, and we really enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lakes to explore.

The host was very accommodating. Very nice place to stay. The only thing I would change is the upstairs bathroom fan was loud for those staying in the upstairs rooms. Other than that I would highly recommend and will be staying again if I get to Madison.

Good location

Family friendly. Only one shower upstairs. We had two over 65 staying and having them climb stairs regularly was difficult. We stayed during this weird bug season so this cotton looking stuff was flying everywhere. The only thing we did not like was a tear in the screen door that led to the back. When we opened the glass door all these bugs came in through the tear. We are from Texas and understand the bugs. So we are use to it. We got some spray and we were fine. My brother lives down the street and said he usually does t see that many bugs also. If we go back we would look at this place again.

Yahara River Retreat

The host Jake was very responsive to inquiries before we even booked the property. The home is in a great location on the Yahara River with access to Lake Waubesa, Lake Monona and Lake Mendota. There are serval nice sit down restaurants accessible via a 5 minute boat ride or a 5 minute walk.

Graduation Weekend

We stayed here for graduation weekend and it worked out perfectly! I booked over a year in advance, which was perfect so I did not have to stress over finding a hotel!

Fantastic location for visiting Madison students

We came into town for a girls weekend with our students at UW Madison. We had a fantastic stay here. The property was spotless. The views were beautiful. Our girls stayed with us. The location is perfect and easy to Uber from downtown Madison. A very safe and quiet location. We will definitely stay here again when we come back into town.

We provide towels, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, and trash can liners. Think of these amenities as a "starter kit", we HIGHLY recommend you bring additional items appropriate for your stay such as extra towels/blankets/soap/shampoo/cooking spray/etc.

ENTRY
There is a keypad located at the side door for a simple keyless entry. Entry code will be provided to you 72 hours before arrival. The code is changed after every guest.

PARKING
There are 4 parking spots in the driveway on the property.

INTERNET/CABLE/TV's
There is reliable high speed internet throughout the lakehouse.
There are TV's in all the bedrooms & living room all offer SmartTV features, available for you to log into your own account to enjoy!

GRILL
We have a Charcoal grill on the property but we do not have charcoal. The guest will be responsible for providing this. We do however have the utensils such as tongs, burger flipper, and grill scraper.

KITCHEN
Fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all of the basic kitchen essentials; Pots/Pans/Plates/Cups/ Utensils.

WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE:
For your safety, we do not allow guests to use the wood-burning fireplace
