Welcome to Dutch Creek Memories, where you’ll find your perfect creek side escape, while still neighboring all of the high country’s attractions! Enjoy a private yard, overlooking the trout creek and small waterfall! Fire pit w/firewood provided. Large deck w/seating, hot tub, and park charcoal grill! Inside find an open floor plan w/stocked kitchen and a coffee bar w/Keurig! Living room w/large tv including Netflix and Amazon Prime. High Speed Internet. Washer and Dryer also provided. Both bedrooms offer queen sized beds w/linens, tvs, and a view of the creek! The bathroom offers an assortment of towels, soaps and features a Bluetooth fan! We look forward to having you create your own memory at Dutch Creek Memories!

The home was set up nicely. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with cooking items. The livingroom was comfortable.The deck over looked a beautiful stream with a waterfall. It was a very quiet area.

A peaceful retreat where you can reset your brain and not do anything you don't have to. Sitting on the deck listening to the creek in the front yard, watching the deer....the best medicine for anyone. Alisha is the best. Good communication and helpful with the area. We can't wait to go back.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway

Adorable home overlooking a creek. Great location for anyone wanting to visit Grandfather Mountain, Linville, Banner Elk, Boone, etc. Convenient to hiking, restaurants, and more. We really enjoyed our weekend there.

Great Anniversary Getaway!

We celebrated our 28th anniversary and wanted to get away. This perfect little nugget nestled above the Boone area provided us with everything we were looking for. Very well stocked and exceptionally clean. Great patio area with the sounds of the creek and a hot tub to enjoy on the cool evening's and a morning soak. The property owner was VERY responsive. We will definitely stay here again.

Quiet, relaxing getaway!

We had a great time here! Clean house, awesome creek in front of property, quiet and calm location. Was an easy drive to Banner Elk and the nearby mountains. Definitely would recommend.

Creek Side Cottage

Such a cool spot to stay! We got to enjoy a great snow and some very cold weather! The house is very clean and cozy. The host stayed in contact to be sure we were ok in the bad weather as well. Looking forward to going back in the spring to enjoy sitting outside by the creek!!

To begin with the hostess after booking the stay at the creek side in valle crusis, the hostess never provided a vode to get in and when we arrived at the house we couldn't get in and had to wait for aover a half hour for her to respond and give us the code .It was in a location that loomed like delivance and vey sketchy, the windows had all old ac units in them.and a loud dehumidifier kept kicking on all the time with a hissing noise . When we finally got in it looked kind of run down and the bathroom was very small and the counter space was small and couldn't fit our toothbrushes and bathroom belongings. The bed and the bedrooms were the worst , the bed was all springs and was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever been in , i woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible back ache . The walls were bare and it felt so uncomfortable and uninviting . It felt like a prison and thats no exaggeration at all. My wife and i left in the middle of the night and got a hotel room in banner elk just to get through the night and get some sleep. The lodge in banner elk was a 75% upgrade compared to the creek side cottage in valle crusis. That was the worst experience I and my wife have ever had on a vacation . I don't recommend anyone stay at the creek side cottage. We are now disputing the charges for the stay that we didn't even stay.

PERFECTION IN THE MOUNTAINS

This property is amazing! The neighborhood is beautiful and serene. The creek and waterfall out front are the best! The owners have added so many neat touches to the place too, including a massaging hot tub, gliding rockers, a fire pit, and plenty of wood. The property was spotless, and the owner was so sweet and easy to communicate with. The bonus is a beautiful waterfall hike about one mile from the property. (Crab Orchard Falls)It is secluded, yet close enough to many parks, attractions and restaurants. We plan to come back again soonnn a d stay here again.

Majestic

This place is truly amazing. The peacefulness of the waterfall right next to the cabin. It was quite chilly so the first night we had a great fire by the creek. The next morning I sat on the glider, drinking coffee and I saw deer up on the higher ridge. Less than an hour later 13 deer come running right across the property playing and just taking their time walking past my car. It was absolutely gorgeous. The location was perfect for going to Boone, blowing rock and places we had never seen before.

Awesome Birthday Getaway!

We chose this property for its proximity to Boone/Blowing Rock and its seclusion and private hot tub. It did not disappoint! The house was cozy and clean, the furniture was comfortable for lounging and watching TV, and the scenery and creek sounds were so relaxing. We were blessed with beautiful snow and DOT had the roads clear the next morning so we could venture out. We appreciated the many comforts of home including the full size kitchen, spacious bathroom with detachable shower head, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, homemade bread, and FAST wifi. Owner communication was excellent, and posted instructions for the property and amenities were clear and helpful. We definitely recommend this property!

Nice Location

The location of the house was nice with the stream for fishing. The park at the end of the road near the general store is worth a visit. I was hoping it would be a little more secluded, but you are right on the road with neighbors close by. I think that listing the house with AC is a little deceiving as it is one AC window unit in the kitchen for the whole house. The AC is also off when you arrive resulting in the house being very hot. The outside needs to be cleaned badly. The price was a little more than I was wanting to pay for the accommodations we received.

Well-Appointed and Great Location

Was looking for a nice quiet location in the mountains, and this is exactly what I got. Upon arrival, it was evident that this location would be secluded; yet, only about 20 minutes away from attractions and shopping. Pros: - The house was a great size for my stay. - House had everything we needed with the exception of laundry detergent, tissue, paper towels, dish soap, and hand soap. - The couches were very comfortable! - TV and Internet worked well the whole time, especially because we were often stuck inside due to the rain. - Hot Tub worked well - Having a grill, even a park-type grill, was a plus for summertime cooking between the rains. - Appliances all worked well - Waterfall and creek was very close to the house - Nice steps going down to the creek - Check Out instructions were very simple! Cons: - Some of the screens had holes in them or gaps, so it was hard to keep the windows open to hear the waterfall unless you wanted to invite bugs in. - Not the fault of the owner: rained every day of the week that we were at this rental, so it made it hard for us to enjoy the creek. It was also in the 60s most of the time (even towards the end of June!). - Washing Machine and Dryer were VERY loud when using them (they still worked though) - There were two random cars that would park at the edge of the property in rotation just about the entire week we were there. One of the two cars was always there (it was just strange). Overall: Great Rental! Would return again!

A great locale - close to Boone and Banner Elk. Dutch Creek was beautiful and peaceful, and the family angler was ecstatic - the first 3 casts caught 3 trout! (They were released, of course). The deck with the autumn trees, a large herd of deer grazing on the property, fire pit, hot tub, and the comforts of a home made this experience just the respite it was intended to be.

Hello. I just wanted to tell you how beautiful and peaceful my stay was. The cabin was very clean and everything was in good order upon arrival. It was very easy navigating the check in procedure compared to others VRBO I have stayed. The scenery is spectacular as the leaves have started their autumn show and the sounds of the waterfall into a great looking pool below will ease the tension away. Just an amazing place with gracious hosts always available. I'd give it 10 starts it I could.

The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise.

Great little stay at the creek

Couldn’t ask for a better place to relax and catch (and release) crayfish and lighting bugs. We had a lovely stay, love coming to this part of the state. We’d love to return sometime soon.

Had a great weekend getaway.

What an exhilarating weekend we had! We kicked things off with a delightful visit to the winery, where the atmosphere was simply electric. Then, we explored the charming Blowing Rock shops, discovering unique treasures at every turn. To top it all off, we savored an amazing steak in Banner Elk that was nothing short of unforgettable!

Winter break family trip

We had a great stay in Creekside Cottage. We surprised our kids over winter break with a Mountian get away. The creek was beautiful. We could image coming back in the summer to cool off on a hot day. The house was about 25 to 30 min from all the activities we had planned. We also enjoyed the hot tub.

Perfect mountain getaway

We had the best time at Creek Side Cottage! Perfectly cozy for my little family of 3. Loved the Christmas decorations inside and the hot tub with the snowy weather. We would love to return in the spring to enjoy the creek too! Perfect location for Sugar Mountain and Tweetsie railroad!
