Welcome to "The Cajun Hideaway.." Located at 4954 Kaylee Lane Barataria La 70036. The property has been recently renovated.. This beautiful raised property is perfect for large groups or families looking to enjoy Louisianna fishing at its best. The local charters can come pick you up from dock at the back of the property. Local air boat tours are available as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances needed for those wonderful family meals.. If outdoor cooking is your style, take advantage of the outdoor propane grill. There is a community freezer and ice machine down stairs for the catch of the day. If you like blue crab we have 2 traps you can throw in the water to enjoy. It also has electrical hookups for charging the boats as well. It is three blocks from Joe's Landing which is a boat launch and bait and tackle shop. It has a spacious area for cooking and entertaining. If you need your clothes washed no problem. There is a brand new washer and dryer on site. We have two 65 inch tvs and three 50 inch tvs incase you have a ball game or a show that you just can't miss. We have loved taking our kids here for some laidback fun! It is a short drive to local grocery and not far to Jefferson Parish for some great restaurants. It is located 45 minutes from New Orlean's night life and fantastic food! Book now you won't regret the fun, food and adventures!

Terrific house and exactly as shown in the pictures and listing. Did not hide anything and had many nice little features which enhanced the stay such as fishing poles and some little snacks

Perfect place to stay!

Property was clean, well maintained and perfect for our family. Plenty of room for our boat and you can launch just a few blocks away. We also booked a fishing charter with Big Dogs Fishing Charters that I would highly recommend. All in all, it is a great place to relax and enjoy some time in the bayou.i

Yearly Fishing Trip

Ice machine and deeper was a killer combination. Made cleaning and storing our fish a breeze. The second deck ceiling fan and TV made dinners and hanging out very comfortable. The whole stay was amazing.

Guys fishing trip

We make two trips a year to fish and this is by far the best place we have found to stay. Its always clean and as advertised. The booking and check in process could not be any easier. We will continue to book our future stays here.

Great location for our short stay for a fishing trip. House was very nice and the communication with the property owner was great! They responded quickly and answered and questions I had.

We love the place . This is 3rd time this year we’ve stayed there . We truly enjoyed the fish cleaning table and the swing . My husband was so proud he could use the boat lift. Made things so much easier . Great place to stay . Neighbors are so friendly .

Fishing trip in May

Eight of us stayed here last October and again in May of 2024. We come down twice a year to fish and plan on making this our first choice of lodging. Everything is clean and as described.

Wonderful home for a group

Beautiful home right on a canal, your fishing guide can pick you up at your own dock. Everything you need for a great stay and the owners are so thoughtful and want your stay to be perfect. We would definitely rent this home again. We had 3 adults and 3 kids and everyone loved the house which is filled with amenities.

Beautiful Bayou Weekend Stay

We all totally enjoyed all this beautiful home has to offer. Great location right on the water and so comfortable ... far exceeded our expectations! Amanda was a wonderful host and very responsive to any questions we had. This was also the perfect location as we were in town to fish with Big Dog Fishing Charters. As this home was located on the water they picked up from our dock. We will definitely be back! Thank you again

Watching the outdoor life and the thrill we had of pulling the crab traps up. Friendly neighbor and safe. Went on numerous walks with children. The distance from downtown New Orleans was an enjoyable drive that you could see the sites. Wonderful kitchen to cook in when that was planned.

Annual Thanksgiving fishing trip

This is our second year staying here for Thanksgiving and it did not disappoint! The home is always clean,net with plent of accessories. After our fist stay the only things I would hope for change would be to have a fish cleaning station downstairs so I wouldn't have to bring the ice chest up the stairs. He installed a great one! we ran out of gas for the grill the first stay. This time they had all full tanks and a extra tank! tv Internet went out and I sent a email,with in a few minutes the owner called me an gave me a fix. Can't say enough about the place. We love it! Thanks Jay and Amanda For sharing your happy place with us.

Nice getaway

We are a family including two teenagers. We had a great time and have been to this area multiple times. House is clean and has everything you could need. The back large room, it appears to be an addition, needs curtains over the windows. Also, the curtains that are in the double doors headed to this room are on the outside of the room. If they are open and you want privacy from other guests.. you have to try to close them and then shut the door. I was the only female and I had no idea that they could see on the other side. This is not a big issue. Also, I appreciate the coffee and the snacks left. There is an alligator that seems to be a resident in the water outback. I assume he is out there eating dead fish that people are putting in the water. He was not afraid of us and was just looking for food. Just be aware if you go with small children. This is a lovely home and we would stay again.
