During your stay, you'll be able to explore Historic Downtown Truckee, Donner Memorial State Park, Truckee River Rafting, and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe. Closer to your stay, the opportunities for fun continue as you find yourself dipping into the resort's shared pool and hot tub only a mile away at North Star Village.

Walk inside your retreat and you'll quickly take notice of the high ceilings, stunning wood finishes, and plush furnishings. Boasting an open-floor layout, effortless conversation and ample family time are inevitable in this stay. Lounge by the warmth of the fireplace as the chef in your group prepares something delicious in the full kitchen. With its ample meal prep space and stainless steel appliances, tasty treats are effortless to whip up.

In the bedrooms find that the comfort this stay exudes only continues. Bright natural lighting trickles effortlessly through the condo's many windows. For your complete convenience, be sure to utilize the retreat's laundry room and scenic balcony.

Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, hot tubs, an Olympic-sized pool and kiddie pool (open seasonally during summer months), a year-round lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.) There is a $10 daily fee per person for use of the facilities.

Nearly Perfect Northstar Condo

My family of four really enjoyed this condo for multiple reasons. The location was fantastic and the Northstar shuttle service was easy to use and efficient with a stop right down the street. The condo was clean and well equipped. We prepared most of our meals at the condo and found the kitchen had a good variety of pots/pans and kitchen tools. We also appreciated that the laundry room had detergent (something we didn't think to bring ourselves). The heater worked really well and the fireplace made it extra cozy for the snowy days. Everything was nearly perfect except for the queen mattress in the bedroom. I saw in a response from Vacasa from a previous reviewer that the mattress and bedding had been updated back in the summer. While the bedding was comfortable, the mattress felt as though you were rolling in towards the center of it. I opted to spend the second night on the couch thinking it'd be more comfortable and also that the queen mattress might be best for one person sleeping directly in the center but my husband said it was still uncomfortable. We figured out that if we each slept on the very edge of the mattress, we'd sort of manage not to slip into the center. It was a challenge for six nights. Apart from this, the two twin beds our teenagers slept on were fine and everything else was very comfortable.

Good location for Tahoe Trail race

Easy mile walk or bike to the village. Quiet and plenty of space for a family or group of friends. Full kitchen to cook. It’s nice to have a washer dryer. Comfy double bed, two twin beds and a sofa bed. Nice bath towels.

Overall good stay with some minor issues

Overall, it was a good stay:the house was clean and fully furnished, nothing fancy but price appropriate. We stayed here for convenience of being at Northstar; the shuttle service to the resort was a great perk and pretty easy to manage once we figured out how to use it. That being said, when we contacted management to ask about it we were told it wasn’t offered for our unit, which was not true. The listing also stated there is access to a hot tub, pool, & gym- but beware, they are about a mile away at Northstar village; don’t plan on walking to use them in the evenings (like we normally would with a rental like this). This was information that could have easily been a part of the informational pamphlet/binder you usually find in the unit at check-in, but we had to contact the management office via text and phone multiple times to get it. Better yet, just state it on the listing. Incidentally, you are directed to text the property management office as the easiest form of contact, but the response time is dismal with that method- we still had more luck with calling. We also booked the unit for 6 people and were provided exactly 4 bath towels, and one washcloth for a 4 night stay. Housekeeping did end up coming with more so that was thankfully resolved. The stairs inside the house could also use tread pads or something as they are nice but wood and consequently a little slippery if you’re wearing socks, which we all were in observance of the request to have our shoes off.

It's ok

It's not great. It's not terrible. The twin beds are closer to terrible both mattresses and covers likely from thr 80s or grandparents garage sale. Master rock mattress. Plenty of update possibilities but it's clean and close to Northstar.
