Perfect Location for Events

Perfect place and area for downtown and surrounding areas events. Great space and even included a lint brush! Had everything I needed. Comfortable and clean. It is a transitioning neighborhood but for me, that was not an issue as I lived in East Nashville 30 years ago. But the house itself is adorable.

Excellent home

We are so pleased to have been guests of Ms. Esthers at her vrbo home in Huntsville. The home was well maintained, clean, and expectations-- the house had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you!

Museum visit

Went for museums and did not know area. Location was convenient but not necessarily best location. Property was quickly updated and not by quality workers. Should have been cleaner to rate a 5. Did have bedrooms just as pictured.

Dirty, Low Quality

We did not stay as the property was dirty upon arrival as well as run down and low quality--should not even be a listing. The pictures are deceptive. We have not been refunded and are looking at what options to take next.

It’s needs to be cleaned better

The house was okay but it definitely could have been cleaner. The rooms were comfortable. There were cobwebs in every room including kitchen and bathroom, and the grass definitely could have been cut. Overall I would say it’s a decent stay but cleaning and upkeep of the home definitely needs to be addressed. We found old towels and clothes shoved behind a dresser and there were several spiders in the home. The couch also had plenty of stains and signs of use.

Comfortable and Convenient!

Husband and I traveled to Huntsville to support a family member with a serious health issue. Downtown Serenity was a great option for us to have a place to unwind. Lovingly decorated, convenient, cozy location in a residential neighborhood close to all downtown has to offer. Some little details we especially appreciated: - A nightstand on both sides of the main bed! (Why don't more places do this?) Most of us have phones we keep beside our bed, along with other items like eyeglasses, water, etc. I will no longer book a vrbo if I don't see a nightstand on both sides of the bed! Also the bathroom, tho tiny, had plenty of hooks to hang used towels, robes etc. Again, why don't more places think of this? Oh, and the provided robes were a lovely touch! Finally for us, big coffee drinkers, we really appreciated the full sized coffee maker that allowed us to make a full pot each morning rather than having to make one cup at a time. So nice!! Our host Esther was easy to communicate with and always responded promptly. An issue with the digital lock at check-in was handled quickly and courteously. All in all a comfortable, and reasonably priced stay that met all our needs and made what for us was a rather stressful trip much more comfortable. Thank you Esther!

Not good

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but I want others to be aware of our experience. - The Pro: The owner was very responsive and quick to send a maintenance man. - The Cons: 1) The internet didn’t work (didn’t even show up as an option on devices) until the morning after our first night. 2) The TVs didn’t work. A maintenance person.was sent to fix this, but even after him my husband had to do more work to correctly program them. 3) I was concerned about the location. The neighborhood is quite run-down. The pictures make it look like a way nicer condo than it is. 4) It was dirty and had lots of bugs. I wouldn’t use the bath for the kids because of it being too dirty. Bugs were even getting in our clothes. 5) The front door was difficult to lock at times. Even when the maintenance person came to fix this, apparently it worked for him whereas we had done the exact same thing less than an hour before and it did not work.

Perfect location

Felt like home . Comfortable setting . Owner truly cares about her guest. Home was clean , felt like home. Location close to everything. We enjoyed sitting outside watching lightning bugs . 5☆☆☆☆☆ rating.

Did not stay

We did not stay at this property. Upon arrival the house had not been cleaned. As I walked through the door I was greeted by a terribly stained couch and my first thought was I wished I had brought a blanket to cover it because I was not going to sit on it. The floor had not been vacuumed, the stove and sink had food all over it. The fridge had the same smears of red that was on the couch. The master bedroom had stains on the sheets. The bathroom floor was nasty. These are just a few of the issues I saw in the ten minutes we were at the house. The owner was very responsive and offered to have the cleaning company come correct the problems. I had an event my family was attending, and we had no time to wait for them to clean, so I had to quickly rent a hotel room so we could get ready. I was told I was being unreasonable, and I was charged for the entire stay even though I did not stay there. The whole situation was unfortunate, and it cast a shadow over my stay in AL. I have never had to complain about any rental I have ever stayed with. I am not being dramatic or trying to be mean. I am the one out of the money it costs to rent a house that I could not stay at and the cost of a hotel. I was treated rudely. The owner hopefully will get a better cleaning service.

Great Value!

Overall great experience… the only issue we had was the parking situation. Both parking spots dedicated to our Rental Unit were flooded the entire stay. However, the Host can’t control the weather! (It literally rained constantly during our stay!) Other than that … flawless Host … flawless Value!!!
