We’re sorry to hear your trip started off this way. We know you were looking forward to a relaxing lakefront getaway, and we understand how disappointing it was to arrive and find there was a power outage at your reserved home. Unfortunately, this was an unexpected utility issue outside of our control, but we should have communicated with you sooner and more clearly. While we were able to relocate you so your stay could continue, we know the new home didn’t have the same lakefront location or amenities you had planned on — and that it impacted your boat rental and time on the water. That’s not the experience we want for our guests, and we truly regret the frustration and lost time this caused. We appreciate you sharing your feedback, and we’ll be reviewing this situation with our team so we can better handle rare situations like this in the future.
