Highly recommend this property! This home was beautiful and spotless, and Cliff was amazingly helpful in showing us the cabin to ensure we'd be comfortable there. (Cabin looked brand new!) The picture of the outdoor area doesn't do it justice. Such a beautiful setting to enjoy our morning beverages with wildlife all around! Added bonus: beds were very, very comfortable. Can't think of a single negative - would rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Cliff, for making a sad trip (double funeral) so much better by letting us stay in this wonderful cabin!

Gorgeous Cabin

It's hard to believe that a cabin looks even better than what the pictures represent. This is a gem of a place, just off 70. 2 bedroom/2 bath and a loft space overlooking the living room (where my friend and I did yoga every morning). Highly recommend this place and we hope to get back here as well.

Cozy cabin

Well appointed and very clean!!! Good location! Enjoyed dining at some of the nearby supper clubs. We would definitely come back and stay again!!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We stayed 3 nights and are planning on coming back next year and stay even longer, the kids loved the loft. We enjoyed all the amenities even tho our weekend was rainy at times we still had a great time in the cabin and enjoying the screen porch. The cabin was clean and we loved seeing the deer walk right by as well. Highly recommend anyone staying in the area to book this place!

Beautiful Cabin

This was our second time to stay at the Northwoods Trailside Getaway. This stay was as wonderful as the last. Cliff and Lanie have thought of everything you could need. From a fully stocked kitchen to the split wood that they have just waiting for you to start a fire in the fire pit.

Great cabin

Clean, well maintained cabin. Great communication. No issues. Only gave a 4 for location because it wasn’t as secluded as we would like but it’s still a good location right off the trails.

Northwoods summer vacation

Beautiful property and hosts were wonderful. This turned out to be a great base for my siblings and I to get together for a fishing trip. Highly recommend.

Awesome Northwoods Vacation Cabin

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The hosts were wonderful! The cabin had so many special welcoming touches. Saw deer out the window and made a snowman! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Recommend this place to anyone! 5 stars

Snowmobilers dream.

Beautiful cottage directly on trail. All appliances, utensils, bedding, are top quality. Excellent hosts that were very accommodating. Great area with close fuel as well. Can’t say enough about how nice everything was.

Long Weekend Stay

The property was amazing from the start! Exactly how described from the moment Cliff met us to check us in. They have thought of everything in this cozy cabin, and was exactly what we needed during our weekend stay for a baseball tournament. 10/10 recommend and hope to stay again!

Girls Family Getaway

We loved our stay here!! Cliff met us at check-in and showed us around, which was great. Every detail of this house was thought out perfectly! It was very cozy and so relaxing. We spent a lot of time out on the screened in porch and we saw alot of deer. We can’t wait to go back!!

This property is very nice & feels like quality construction. It also is perfectly decorated and spacious enough for 2 people or a small group. Most importantly for me, there's a lot of natural light and adjustable inside lighting and super clean 😁

Northwoods Adventure

Absolutely beautiful cabin ! So relaxing and peaceful sitting by the fireplace and watching the deer outside . Check in was simple - the owners came to greet us , making us feel so welcome , what a great personal touch ! We had a fabulous time and are already planning a return visit . Rog & Sandi

Amazing Northwoods Experience

We were tremendously impressed with Northwoods Trailside Getaway. The owner met us upon arrival to give us a tour and provide vital information to make our stay enjoyable. The hosts left no stone unturned in providing the ultimate comfort in their property. We can't say enough about their attention to detail in making our stay wonderful. 5 stars to the hosts and their property!

Absolutely Beautiful Place

Pictures don't do this beautiful cabin justice. The owners have taken every detail into account in putting together this amazing retreat. Fully equipped kitchen made it so easy to whip up meals, stocked firewood so that an evening around the fire was the perfect end to the day, decor was perfect, beds were comfortable, parking was easy. It really was the perfect place for our little weekend getaway! Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Fourth of July Get a Way

Cliff met us and showed us the property. This is a plus. Because after you travel, it is nice to have someone show you where things are located and how things work. Their cottage is well thought out with every thing we needed. Personally, I loved the screened in porch and listening to the wind wave through the tall pines. Overall, the best VRBO we ever stayed in. Thank you

Perfect getaway

We stayed 3 weeks and from the time we entered till the time we left it was unbelievably the best time we have had up in Minaqua..the cabin was very clean and very comfortable. The screened in back porch was our favorite place to have coffee in the morning and watch the wildlife . Triplet fawns and mama passed through . It is close to Minaqua and excellent restaurants, or if you prefer to grill at home it comes with a very clean grill . The hosts are fantastic and super friendly, we consider Cliff and Lanie friends , and their dogs Mr Oliver, Ruby, and Marley. Miss you all.

Retirement snowmobile weekend

We booked our stay after some brief questions with the host. He was super accommodating and answered all of our questions quickly. When we got to the property, it was more beautiful than the pictures. Every little detail has been considered and completed. The property is right on the snowmobile trail and accommodated our two trucks and trailers easily. Cliff came over to greet us and showed us his favorite stops along the trails so we knew where to go. This rental is top notch in every aspect. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a really wonderful long weekend!

Exceeded Expectations

This is the most comfortable stay I've had in Minocqua, and we've been traveling here 1-2 times per summer for decades. If you are asking "Do I need to bring (fill in the blank) with me?" The answer is, "No." Your hosts Cliff and Lanie have thought of absolutely everything you might need for a North Woods vacation and placed it right where you need it. Organized and meticulously clean the house checks all my boxes. No more need to pack my own hair dryer or favorite cookware "just in case". In addition, we really appreciated that Cliff met us at check in and was easily reachable during our stay. The kids loved having a fire ring and My husband and I appreciated the peaceful evenings on the screened porch watching deer and other wildlife.

Beautiful, spotless cabin, would recommend!

We spent a lovely week at this beautiful cabin. Everything was spotless. Everything there that we needed for our vacation. Enjoyed daily visits by does and fawns, once by two bucks, wild turkeys, chipmunk, black squirrels and a variety of birds including a woodpecker and hummingbird. Occasionally a few ducks on the pond. Spent time relaxing either in our hammocks or in the fantastic screened in porch. Cliff generously took a day out of his schedule to show us local UTV trails. Took in a lumberjack show, did some hiking, drank some local beer and generally just chilled! Lanie has tastefully decorated the cabin and carefully considered what a vacationer might need as well as keeping the cabin so clean I couldn't find any cobwebs or dust! The cabin is beside a fairly busy "rustic road" but plenty of off road parking for multiple vehicles and trailers in front of the cabin. We can just imagine how cosy this cabin will be in the winter too!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

This property was absolutely perfect for our 3 night stay. We were traveling with our 90 year old mother so the 1st floor bedroom with full size bath was great for her limited mobility. We had the upstairs bedroom/bath. Very comfortable bed. The loft area gave us plenty of extra room for luggage etc. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The dining & living room area was beautifully furnished and decorated. Gas fireplace added ambiance - easy to operate. Big screen tv and board games for entertainment. The area was easy to navigate for early morning walks. Plenty of deer and wildlife to watch right outside the windows. Nice firepit area and enclosed back porch area. Our host reached out a few days ahead of time to insure contact info was correct. He met us at the property when we arrived to go over the particulars of the property. Owners live minutes away and respond immediately to any correspondence. We will definitely be back!!!

My wife and I live in the area. We love all the Northwoods has to offer. Snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Motorcycling, ATV/UTV riding, bicycling and hanging out at the lake in the summer. We also just like to just sit back and relax, read a book, enjoy the scenery and wildlife or just sit by the campfire. We decided to build a cabin so others could also enjoy the Northwoods.

We are in a great location, 3.5 miles from town located on a private wooded 3 acres. Walking distance to the Minocqua Park Complex, casino 15 minutes away, Minocqua Winter Park 20 minutes away, a mile from the zoo, ATV/snowmobile from the front door and the Minocqua chain of lakes just minutes away. Plenty of specialty shops in town and a Walmart and grocery store 5 minutes away.

We live just down the road and through the woods so that we can manage the property and welcome our guests. Enjoy your stay!
