Great Stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location and the place is very well kept. Joel and Lisa were great to deal with and very helpful with day trip ideas and spots to eat. Would recommend this place to any couple looking for a scenic and peaceful getaway.

It was the most peaceful & relaxing vacation of my life. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here & we can’t wait to book again. It was away from the hustle & bustle of the island, so you do have to drive, but that is exactly what I wanted.

Amazing Views, perfect size

As I said to the host, the cover photo says it all. Amazing view, your own pool on your own deck, perfect to just relax. For a heartbeat rise, jump from the highest ledge into the ocean below.

Beautiful View

Great outdoor space along the water - we snorkled and swam right infront of the property. Good access to Lagun and Westport areas.

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing

The place comes as advertised. Sitting on a cliff with ocean access via the steps down to the water and a small dock. If you’re looking for a quiet, private and relaxing time, you’ll have a great stay!

Wonderful place and host

This duplex property was a great place for our visit to Curacao. A little drive to get to Willemstad but close to the best beaches on the island. Property is nicely furnished with essentials for a short or long stay. Host Joel was great and very responsive to our questions and requests.

The view was over the top. It was very secluded and the privacy was top notch. It was a nice area since most beautiful beaches and local restos was nearby. We can also swim on the coastal beach whch was also another plus. A must to stay and will definitely be back.

We recently stayed at Joel & Lisa’s place in Lagun. It was a terrific vacation, lovely accommodation and excellent hosts who were easy to communicate with. I would have no hesitation in recommending and look forward to returning. Thank you!

Beautiful home overlooking the Caribbean Sea

Joel and Lisa were very helpful and responsive throughout the renting process and during our stay. They provided us with lots of information on places to visit and things to do. Highly recommend.

Perfection

This is our second time staying with Lisa And Joel. Sol patch is a little piece of heaven. Joel and Lisa are absolutely fantastic. Next time we travel to Curacao we will definitely be staying here.

Beautiful stay on Curacao!

An absolutely gorgeous place to stay! A plunge pool for relaxing or, a slightly more adventurous climb to the water for a swim in the sea. If you manage to drag yourselves indoors, the home is open, light, and lovely. Very nearby you find beautiful swimming and snorkeling spots. Lisa, Joel, and Hynrich are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and make you feel right at home on Curacao.

Fabulous escape

The property and location makes for a very relaxed, special stay. Plunge pool, deck and specially placed stairs and chairs make for fabulous ocean and sunset watching. Lisa and Joel were welcoming hosts, and quickly replied to any questions or concerns. We’ll return.

Perfect seaside escape – already dreaming of coming back!We had an amazing stay at this property. The house is perfectly located in a quiet area, and the peace and calm were exactly what we were looking for. The highlight for us was the sunset view every evening – absolutely stunning and different every night. Having private access to the sea felt like such a luxury; being able to just wander down for a swim or to sit by the water made the stay feel truly special.Lisa was a fantastic host from start to finish – warm, welcoming, and extremely responsive to all our messages. Communication was easy and reassuring, and you can tell she really cares about her guests’ experience.We would happily give this place 5/5 and would not hesitate to come back or recommend it to friends and family.

Wonderful Stay in Curaçao

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Curaçao. This property is absolutely beautiful! We loved the infinity pool and stairs down to the ocean. We did some of the best snorkeling right in front of our place. Saw sea turtles and Tuna fishing in the mornings. The property was equipped with everything we needed. Lisa and the property manager Henry h were wonderful also. The area was fantastic with close proximity to tons of beaches. We would absolutely stay here again when we come back to visit the beautiful island.

I may have shed a few tears as the week came to an end.

If you love the water, this place is for you! Absolutely breathtaking views of crystal clear water, a diver/snorkelers paradise. The house itself was great. Warm and inviting with an open floor plan made for a relaxing week. The location was just what we were looking for. Situated far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the south side of the island, and near lots of natural attractions. The hosts, Joel and Lisa were great. Very accommodating. I highly recommend!

I will preface this to say Lisa and Joel were nice and quick to respond to any questions and requests. The rental itself left a lot to be desired. First, the steps and path down to the water are a death trap that we would not venture on. The furniture is sparse, and quite uncomfortable. There were no hand towels or kitchen towels provided. Lisa brought one sad hand towel after we requested it. The kitchen has no hot water, which makes washing any dishes and pans difficult, if not unsafe. We love Curacao, and have visited several times, but we would not return here.

Thank you Sharon, for your constructive feedback. This is the first time that anyone has complained about the stairs to the water. They are carved out of the cliff in the beginning before turning to a wooden staircase and we installed a hand railing all of the way down for safety. We're sorry that you were uncomfortable using them. We did discuss the lack of hot water in the kitchen. Very few houses on Curacao have hot water in the kitchen, only in the showers, as we do. Washing dishes with soap and water is what makes them clean and safe to use. You could not put your hands in water hot enough to kill germs - it's the soap that does that - so we here on the island are used to cleaning up with room temperature water. We do indeed provide hand/dish towels and immediately brought over extra at your request. You are kind to say that we were quick to respond to your all of your requests, we do our utmost to help people enjoy their stay on the island.

Peaceful getaway.

Wonderful ocean view and access to ocean was absolutely amazing!!! Location was quiet but close to wonderful beaches and restaurants! Sunset was a picturesque beauty every night. Just a few items to mention, minimal dated furniture for example kitchen has one chair and one stool only . Couch and outside seating needs upgrades. Had to supply additional utensils. Coffee maker Outstanding property manager was very accommodating when asked for a dryer and blanket.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Sol Patch. For clarification, the kitchen has a standup bar table with two stools (one has a back, one does not), there is a dining table outdoors on the deck with three chairs. There is a French Press coffee maker provided. We have guests from all over the world and find this to be the most widely used and popular option for the most people. There are instructions for its use in the apartment. Since you were not specific in what utensils were missing I can't respond other than to say that all you need to to is ask for what you need and we would be happy to accommodate you. We strive to be an eco friendly establishment. The fact that you needed a blanket in the Caribbean in September means that perhaps the AC was set too low. Instead of an extra blanket, you might have tried opening the windows for a lovely breeze.
