Donna Caterina House is situated on a gentle knoll in the middle of the Sicilian countryside, just 2 km from the historic center of Pietraperzia. It is a typical rural house in central Sicily, surrounded by wonderful and rich Mediterranean vegetation. You can relax in a wonderful Finnish whirlpool tub with the possibility of hot water during the winter! In the wooden-roofed verandas, The large gazebo and the terrace above the house, from which you can admire the medieval village of Pietraperzia and the ruins of its Castle, make Donna Caterina House a magical place from which to enjoy the landscapes of the Sicilian countryside and from which to experience the slow progress of time in the island way: reading, sunbathing, playing cards, contemplating the vegetation, sipping a good coffee. Ample parking and an automatic gate make Donna Caterina House a convenient and safe space in which to enjoy the most authentic Sicily.

Amazing

Lucia and her husband are so kind and helpful. They were accommodating with check in time and provided an amazing dinner recommendation. She was available and responsive to questions .

Spring break visit

The "issue" with such a welcoming home is that you have to chose between staying in the hamoc, or lying in a comfy chair and visiting the external beauties of Sicilia! Lucia's home is a perfect stay for people visiting the area: 25min from the Villa, 45min from the Valle dei templi, many beautiful views of the surrounding nature... The house is well equipped and furnished, and so lovely to stay in. Thank you again for the warm welcome and all the details, Lucia!

Hi I am Lucia, I take care of my property and love to meet my guests with whom a beautiful friendship is often born. I will be happy to provide all the information and advice to enjoy the house and the surrounding area. With my staff we try to make the spaces of the house, the verandas, the garden and the park with walnut trees pleasant and comfortable.

This property has the advantage of being on one level, with three low steps. It is surrounded by beautiful flower beds, a small lawn, a citrus grove, and a walnut orchard. It is about 3 km from the village so you can reach it in five minutes when you feel like drinking a good espresso or having an aperitif at the bar. The narrow road is only traveled by the few homeowners in the area so you will not be disturbed by traffic noise. The entire property is surrounded by fencing, and the large parking lot and gate will be used only by guests. Privacy is absolute.

Guests during their stay will have the entire property at their disposal both internally and externally (10,000 square meters ). They will enjoy the silence and scents of the countryside. The location in the center of the island is really strategic because you have the opportunity to reach the highway in 15 minutes in the directions of Catania and Palermo. The distance to the beaches is about 40 minutes. In 5 minutes you can reach the towns of Pietraperzia and Barrafranca. In 20 to 30 minutes the towns of Piazza Armerina, Enna and Caltanissetta.
Verandas with wooden roofs, the large gazebo, the surrounding paved space equipped with swing, children's bikes, rocking chair, the driveway, the automatic gate, the large parking lot enrich the house and make it usable in any season.
The outdoor space offers various nooks and crannies for sunbathing, reading, playing cards, lying in the sun or simply relaxing while enjoying the silence.
The terrace above the house allows you to admire the town of Pietraperzia and its medieval castle, the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Cava and the neighboring villages. At night a wonderful starry sky!
