Loved the house! Has a lot of character and definitely met our needs. The porch is a wonderful spot to enjoy a cocktail and watch the neighborhood pass by. Very easy to get to public transport. Nice back yard area with grill (we didn't use because we were on the go!) Will definitely return!

I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible VRBO in New Jersey, and it surpassed all my expectations. The property was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The spacious layout and cozy furnishings made it feel like a home away from home.

The apartment is charming and spacious! The host has added thoughtful welcoming touches throughout and is super responsive to requests. It's quite obvious he is committed to making the visit a great experience. Everything is spotless and in very good condition. A block from the light rail, you can be in Manhattan in no time. We would stay here again without hesitation, and highly recommend.

We actually paid for September 29th until the morning of the 6th but we left around 9-930 pm on the 5th. The house and neighborhood was great! Definitely not for those with issues with stairs. Quite the workout. We really enjoyed it ! There are loud cars and stereos going by at any given time but it's not too bad.

Terrific home and host

Very cozy and unique home. Muhammed was a terrific host and always responded to messages promptly. Having a parking space was a huge perk! Access to NYC was easy, and it was cool to also check out what Jersey City had to offer.

Nice place, close to commuter rail.

Nice, clean and spacious apartment. Short walk to the Light Rail station. Easy commute into Manhattan for sightseeing and exploring the city. Mohamed was great to work with and helped us carry some luggage in when we arrived. The garage parking spot was great to park our car and not worry about it for a few days.

Beautiful property!

I loved the rooms and the living space. The only thing is I wish I had known that the AC was window units and not central air. The temp outside was very hot and the unit for the living space couldn't quite keep up.

Exactly as listed!

Stayed for 2 nights with the family to see the statue of liberty and NYC. 10 minute drive to statue of liberty ferry and apox 20 minute drive to Paulus Hook ferry to NYC. The place was exactly as shown, and the owner/host was extremely kind and ready to help if needed. Would definitely book again. Great experience, Great Host!

Very beautiful home in a nice area. We took Lyft for 12 to the PATH for a quick way into Manhattan. Lyft direct to Manhattan was around 60. Despite 100 degree days the A/C in the bedrooms worked well. The owner gave us tourist tips that were essential. Like just have one drink one appy at many many places as you walk. That ended up being all day and night and great!

Roomy and comfortable

We enjoyed the property. It had enough room for 4 adults. We stayed for 7 days and it was the perfect place to stay just a few minutes walk from the light rail. The owner was very accommodating and friendly.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay in this beautifully furnished and super equipped place over 2 floors! The host is super friendly and very attentive! We enjoyed our vacation here as a family! Mother/Daughter's Trip

Super friendly, easy to get a hold of for questions, very clean, spacious for 3, great way to escape the busy New York City agter sightseeing and relax in a quiet neighborhood. 2 air conditioning units on main floor and one up on 3rd floor/loft area. We highly recommend this place!

Very Accommodating

The whole process and the property was nice. Just as advertised. The owner was very accommodating and asked numerous times in our stay if everything was okay. And it was. It was nice to have the garage on sight and not have to worry about finding a place to park.

Air conditioning in every bedroom. Neighborhood turned out to be safer than it appeared. Light-rail station is a 6-minute walk and connects to PATH station for NYC subway connections which was very convenient! House was clean overall but we noticed that the floors under the furniture were dusty and debris could be seen. Body wash and paper towels were not refilled. Also, we never intended to bring our dog—we had a medical emergency and couldn’t leave them at home—but upon leaving this review, I looked over the images posted on the listing and noticed there is a picture that is captioned “pet friendly”. Be advised, this listing is not pet friendly—owner is allergic. Also note, this property is divided into 2-3 vacation rentals.

Beautiful, Spacious Home!

We were excited about staying in this home, and our expectations were exceeded. It was clean, safe, spacious, and welcoming. The home is divided into three completely separate apartments; we were in #2 on the second floor. No AC, so the room at the top of the house became warm. Otherwise, we opened windows and got a cool breeze moving through. We really enjoyed our stay!

I purchased this property several years ago because of its size (one of the largest home in town), elegance and dedicated parking. Historically, legend has it that this home a private "Speak Easy" hangout for Frank Sinatra and used to be owned by national political legend, Mayor Frank Hague who served as Mayor from 1917-1947. It's a large property that has the feel and character of a rural "bread and breakfast" but has views of the NYC skyline from the back lawn.
