My cleaner had confirmed to me that the property was fully prepared, and I regret that this was clearly not the case upon your arrival. As this was the first booking of the season, there were unfortunately some oversights that should have been caught beforehand. I take full responsibility for that. Based on your feedback, I have since replaced the cleaner to ensure this does not happen again. I also appreciate you bringing up the concerns about the water and previous guest feedback—those issues are now being addressed so future guests won’t encounter the same problems. Because the property is located near the water and surrounded by nature, seasonal insects can become more active during warmer months, which is why I proactively notified you beforehand and recommended bug spray so there would be no surprises. Unfortunately, biting flies can sometimes be more severe depending on weather and tide conditions, and I understand how frustrating that must have been. Regarding the cleanliness concerns, I take those matters seriously. After receiving your message during the stay, I immediately addressed the concerns with the cleaning team and inspected the issues reported. We have since taken additional steps to ensure the home is thoroughly checked before future guest arrivals, including kitchen cabinet inspections and maintenance adjustments for the bathroom fixtures. I genuinely want every guest to have a positive experience and always try to resolve concerns quickly and fairly during the stay, which is why I offered a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill. Hi Jacob, I wasn’t not aware of any issue with the CO2 sensor and of the guests stayed after your departure experience the issue. I will get my property manager to take a look at it. In regarding to the hard mattress, the master bedroom has a Sleep Number bed. The firmness could be adjusted. In regarding to the beach, However, it is inevitable sometime thing could be washed up into the shore.
