Windswept is a beautiful house, situated on the coast, with mesmerizing views. Tanya is a wonderful host, and has stocked the house with everything you might need for a comfortable stay, and then some. Gualala is fantastic too, with good restaurants, beaches and trails nearby. While the location, and the ample space that house offers could not be beat, the house is old and needs quite a bit of TLC. There are lot of leakages in the house, and because of it, it has strong moldy/musky smell. Mold is everywhere, including the front door. There are several other maintenance issues around the house. Ants are everywhere - on all the food, beds, bathrooms, couches, and in the hot tub. I cannot imagine, the house cannot be treated for it. There is no lock on high traffic, main floor bathroom. All of this said, it is still a wonderful stay. For the price, we did expect the house to have been better taken care of.

A truly lovely home with stunning ocean views. Peaceful, light-filled, and thoughtfully cared for; it felt welcoming the moment we arrived. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and those expansive views was incredibly grounding. A beautiful place to rest, reflect, and feel at home.

Me and my friends really enjoyed to stay in your house with our dogs over weekend. The view is something to die for. Really cozy and relaxing place which makes you to slow down. Would come again!

The location and views are perfection! The house is well stocked. It is on multiple levels, and the stairs are a bit tight and slick. They were in the process of changing out one of the beds from a queen to a king which was a little inconvenient but will be an improvement. Overall, we had a grand time!

We loved the view except it would have been nicer if the windows were clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the furniture was comfortable. The house was clean except for the septic and musky smells.

Incredible Views and Location - Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay and loved the home from the moment we arrived and saw the incredible views. The host was very friendly and communication was easy. The house was very spacious and comfortable for our group of 7 adults and a dog. We enjoyed the osprey and other birds flying by with fish in their talons, seals on the great rock formation below, a leaping fox on the driveway, hot tub, and friendly neighbors. Kitchen was well-equipped and good for cooking, and everything was nice and clean. Location can't be beat - over the water and quiet, while also very close to town and activities. Hope to return again!

Sea view vacation

Beautiful home with fantastic ocean views. Enjoyed watching the sea birds flying by right at the level of the windows amd the sunsets over the Pacific. Fully stocked kitchen, nice seating area and large bedrooms. Close to town while still feeling private.

Beautiful house and view

We found this house to be almost perfect for us (6 female friends). The view is spectacular! The whole house including the kitchen is well appointed. It has extras of everything so it didn't feel like "just" a rental. Clearly it is enjoyed by the homeowners as well. I've stayed in many houses where they provide the bare essentials (sleeps 6 - you get 6 plates and 6 cups). Not this house! Plenty of everything. All of the beds were comfortable. The location is on a quiet street within a block or two of a cute little Mexican restaurant. Very close to town, so getting around was easy. The host is very responsive and handled all of our questions within a reasonable timeframe. The only "caution" I have is to be aware of the very sharp angle where the driveway levels out. It will get the bottom of your car if you don't approach the bottom slowly. Highly recommend!

Relaxing weekend

We spent Easter weekend at this property. Check in was flawless, communication to great, and Tanya is very responsive if you have a question, even months before arriving. We have stayed at many VRBOs and this one by far was very well stocked with seasoning, cooking utensils and even cleaning products to clean up after yourselves. Extra Clorox wipes, trashes bags and even washer and dryer were available. The beds were comfortable and temperature was perfect in the house. They provided plenty of wood for the fireplace too. The location was great, next to the grocery store, trinket store and not too far from point arena. Being pet friendly was even better. Our dog love the place as well and there was enough room to him to roam and hang out on the deck without worry of him running off. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed the home, it felt as if it really was a home and not just a vacation rental. We would love to arrive again sometime in the future.

Beautiful views

Property was beutiful with breathtaking views from most of the rooms.......needed to have a good dusting and the ants are very active in kitchen and chill area.........overall would recommend and would not hesitate to visit again

Our Annual Reunion

We stayed with a group of 7 adults, 3 couples and 1 singleton. The common areas were wonderful and that view, amazing!!!! The property manager was terrific in helping us out with minor issues and we will definitely consider renting again if staying in Gualala.

Wonderful Family Stay Over Christmas

Our family stayed at Windswept during Christmas week, and it was absolutely perfect for our gathering. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own privacy, yet the common areas were cozy enough for us to come together. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the view from the home was breathtaking. I could easily spend hours sitting on the window seat, enjoying the view. Our host Tanya was super helpful too. I was having issues with the VRBO app showing my reservation but she was very communicative and reassured me she saw it on her end. We will love to return!

Family vacation

The house is really awesome. We liked staying at an older established house. The owner is doing a really great job of upgrading. The view is not even comparable, it’s amazing right on the coast
