WELCOME TO YUMA'S DOWNTOWN COTTAGE 🌅
Our home has 9ft ceilings and feels cozy and spacious at the same time. Our A/C unit is Kickin and keeps you cool in the summer. Our 70" Smart HDTV in the living room is great for watching yourmovies and sports. Our couches are leather and recline with side buttons. Our kitchen is spacious with a full size fridge and a snack drawer for the littles. Every room in our home including the kitchen and living room have ceiling fans. Our Backyard is enclosed with plenty of seating and a nice big grill with a pre-filled propane tank is ready for grilling!
Fun Fact: Our home has rich history and it was moved to its current location in 1944. Yes, Our home is older but it was built well with charming little finds through out. You will find that the Inside of our Yuma Downtown Cottage is nice and cool! Our walls are original and made of plaster in the main living areas and that helps keep our home cooler in the summer time. In addition, our air conditioner is top notch and will keep you cool during our hot summer months! If you would like to go for a swim Marcus pool is just a quick walk, it’s only one block up from our home. If you want to do the float down at the Colorado River you picked the right place! Our home is within a couple miles of that excursion.
Guests will have access to the entire home including laundry room which is located inside our home.
We have a Fully Fenced Back Patio with some yard space. The yard space is smaller and we are adding a sidewalk and Lanscaping. This is a process but we are getting there. That being said we have a large flagstone patio with a table, chairs and large grill for you to enjoy.
Our Neighborhood is in a fabulous location. We are 2 minutes from Downtown Main Street where we have plenty of shopping, restaurants, street fairs and farmers markets. We are less than a mile from the West Wetlands Pond, Park and Walking Trails. We are less than a mile from the I-8 Freeway which gives you fast access to Quechen Casino, Algodones Mexico, The Dunes, Z fun Factory and Waylons Water World! We are a 5min Drive to the Yuma Palms Mall and the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex(PAAC). We are 2 miles from our local Hospital YRMC.
Our Neighborhood streets are easy to get around and we have free parking in our driveway for 2 cars and additional parking on the street in front of our home. We are also with in walking distance to local favorite restaurants. We have several freeway access points close to our location. One is off of 4th Avenue and the other is off of Giss Parkway.
*We want you to know we love kids and yes we even have 2 of our own but PLEASE BE ADVISED our home is NOT Child Proof.With that being said we welcome you and your family and we want to make sureyou are aware that our electrical outlets do not have plug-covers and our cabinets are not locked.
*PETS will be considered but MUST be PRE-APPROVED and a
NON-REFUNDABLE pet fee will be charged.

Yuma's Downtown Cottage was our actual home and we put lots of thought and love into creating a comfortable space for our familyto live.We have since moved and we now are sharing our home with you,our guests.Whether you are here for business or pleasure wehope you feel that comfort and relaxed atmospherethat we did and enjoy your time here in or home.

Nice home

Clean cozy house. We just needed a place to sleep at night and counter space to prepare food we were taking to a family gathering. The fridge was spacious to store food we prepared the night before. We were out and about most of the day. It is perfect for adults not planning to gather to eat there as it lacks a formal table with chairs and lacks a dining room. The toilet room could use a door instead of just curtain. Communication was excellent and we appreciate we were able to check in earlier. Thank you.

A Nice Stay

The house was nice for the four of us and the kitchen very well stocked. A very nice kitchen! The living room was comfortable for the four of us to read or watch TV. We would have liked a dining table but there were TV trays if needed. A rail to the back patio would be nice for us older folks doing the steps.

Minisnowbird stay (34 nights)

Wonderful well loved home. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Fabulous master bath. Great appliances including washer and dryer. Very responsive hosts. Safe neighborhood we decided to walk and or take bus for the month and the location worked well although the bus system was hard to navigate at first. Fast internet! We enjoyed this updated historic home!

Sweet little house & awesome hostess

This little old house (with very up to date renovations) reminded my sisters and me of our first house in Waterford CA as little girls. Mimi provides so much that you don’t have to run to the store until you’re ready. It’s an older neighborhood with established families (and they’re friendly!) and short distance from anything you need. Mimi is very responsive at all hours (sorry Mimi if we woke you up!) Rhonda & Barb & Vonnie (The beds are to die for…..)

The property was clean, well maintained and as it was described. The manager worked with us on checking in early. We had a great time and will look to stay here again.

Yuma Cottage

We spent the weekend in Yuma for a baseball I found this gem 5 minutes from the field. It was clean, everything was updated, and had everything one would need for their stay.

Just a little about me...I am a born and raised Yuman❤️
I am married with two teens that keep me on my toes. My husband and I own a local Real Estate Company here in Yuma and that keeps us busy year around. We have lived in our now turned VRBO for almost 18 years and we just recently moved. We decided we would like to share our home with you via VRBO. We hope you absolutely enjoy your stay and we hope you love the comfort of our home as much as we have over the last 18 years.

I can tell you hands down our location is prime for just about anything you would like to do here or in the surrounding areas. We have close access to two freeway entrances and exits. Our neighborhood is full of charming homes with character since we are in a more established area of town. We are a 2 min drive to Main Street Downtown where you can catch Live Theatre Shows or visit the Yuma Art Center. Main Street also has plenty of local shopping and street fairs with yummy food vendor, restaurants and sports bars and our local Old Time Wine Cellar.
The Dunes are 15 minutes up the road and our driveway is long enough to support your toys and trucks plus we have street parking in front, if needed. If you would like to do the summer float downs on the Colorado River you're in the right spot! The Yuma Palms Mall is also easy and fast to get to as well, it's maybe 7 min drive from our location. The Algodones Mexican border is 10 min up the freeway. We have people visit from all over to go to Algodones for shopping, dental work and eyeglasses and prescription medication. Honestly, there is just to much to mention as far as what we are close to but feel free to reach out and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about the convenience and charm of our location. We look forward to being your hosts in the near future!

The grill also includes a propane tank that's ready for all your grilling needs!
