Serenity is in store at this secluded home, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature, just over a mile north of the Georgia border. Relax each morning on your deck with a cup of coffee, while you watch for the frequently passing wildlife, including a local family of deer and lots of birds, then spend the evening in the yard, roasting marshmallows around the firepit. If you’re looking for more action, never fear - you’re surrounded by hiking, mountain biking, and ORV trails, and the water sports at Nottely Dam are around five miles south.

At home, you’ll find a cozy space with a mountain-cabin vibe. The open floor plan combines the living room, dining area, and full, well-equipped kitchen, so it’s easy to whip up meals and snacks while the kids play nearby. Grab some sweet tea and read a book in the sunroom or pop into the game room for a game of pool or darts. Other entertainment options include three streaming-capable TVs, an Xbox 1, and free high-speed WiFi.

After a day of outdoor adventures, get cozy in front of the gas fireplace while the washer/dryer takes care of any stray laundry or let the kids enjoy the large front yard, with lots of space for tag or kickball. Fire up the gas grill for dinner, then call it a night in any of three serene sanctuaries. Another day of peace and quiet awaits tomorrow - all that’s left to do is book.

True peace

We have rented other cabins in the past, but none compares to this one. We were truly able to relax, the property is serene and beautiful. All the amenities made it fun for our kids, if you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is stocked with everything you’d need, lots of clean towels available, and they even provide small soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. We were relatively close to everything, outdoors activities stores and restaurants. The cabin was pristine, which made it very comfortable, even the outdoor areas where you would expect to find spiders or insects, were clean, which is impressive for a wooded area. We saw a couple of deer and lots of fireflies. The host really thought of everything, I think we could have stayed in the cabin the whole time and enjoyed it, but who could resist the beautiful mountains, an awesome experience all in all!

Everything we needed

It was the perfect fit for our family. Secluded enough and we were able to see the NC and GA mountains. We took the scenic routes for both states. Made it to the Blue Ridge parkway and saw the beautiful fall foliage. My kid loved the pool table. I’m sure it can fit a big family. The price was reasonable for the entire house. The house was very clean and ready for us. The only reason I’m not giving a 5 stars is because they need an exterminator for roaches. The fire pit is a little bit distant from the house, which I could see why, but then it was very dark and I was scared of using it by the time we got to the house, since there was not lights.

Great house for a big family. Had everything we needed. House was clean. My only complaint is that they need to hire an exterminator for roaches. Fire pit is a little bit far from the house, which I understand the reason for this, but there is no lights in the area. My kid loved the pool table.

Peaceful retreat

We loved this cabin so much. Felt like home to us. Everything you could ever need they had. Kitchen was stocked with all that we needed for our stay. Just bring your groceries nothing else needed. Pool table was great as well as the x box for the kids. Did not use firepit because of the rain but nice to have available. Beds were very comfortable for all. Outdoor seating and space was awesome. We got to see the deer most days we were there. Not far from shopping and restaurants in the small town. Also close to other towns to visit. Overall a fantastic home and a great place to vacation. We definitely will be back.

Wonderful Cabin Stay

The cabin was everything we could have hoped for. Did a whitewater rafting adventure and this cabin was a great place for us to retreat to. Loved the pool table and the view of the night sky.

Great place to relax.

Our second stay at this cabin and will be going back. Great for families of all ages. Great kitchen too. Outside room to wander or just sit and relax. The addition of the game room was a big plus this year!

Great Value in the woods.

A great place in the woods. Plenty of room for our family of 5. It was well stocked with the necessities. The place was a little warm when we got there. Took a good while to cool it down. I know this isn’t trouble most of the year but in the heat of the summer, it is when they leave the air off. They don’t advertise an EV charger but I did see a 220v plug inside the garage door. I didn’t bring my EV but would have if I’d known they had this. Overall a great experience.

Peaceful Woodlands is a perfect getaway!

Loved staying here! Tucked away, yet close to everything we wanted, this cabin is roomy & fun for the whole family. There are board games, pool table, darts & so much to do for endless family entertainment. Cabin is clean, beds are comfy & surroundings are gorgeous. It is a perfect getaway!

Short Stay with Family

My Dads family is from Murphy and we were there for my nephews graduation. This is a sweet little get away close enough to town to get what you need but far enough away you have quiet and privacy. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Loved the place, quiet and peaceful

First time staying in the area, we loved it. Booking was easy and the owners instructions from checking in to checking out were very clear. The cabin was clean and comfortable, the kids enjoyed it, they did not want to leave. We will definitely be back.

Thanksgiving family reunion

We all had a wonderful time for the last 4 days in this cozy, clean, and well stocked cabin. All you need to relax, talk with your love ones and enjoy this family time was in this cabin. Just get some groceries before arriving and enjoy this beautiful place. The hosts are very easy to reach. We had no problems, but good memories of the cabing, the decorations, the pit fire, the nice game room, and all movies we watched together. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Home away from home

The house was clean and stocked with everything needed for our stay. The only thing not provided was an iron but it wasn't something the dryer couldn't fix. Overall I would rent this place again.

Great cabin

Enjoyed the cabin very much. We go to the Murphy area the last weekend of July every year for a family reunion. It was a great location for us. Plenty of room. Very private. Great kitchen with incidental supplies. We will be back.

Peaceful Place

My family and I loved it! We liked taking advantage of the parks and trails in the area but also liked just hanging out at the cabin. I really loved the back porch with all the windows! My grandkids loved making campfire and eating s’mores! Great place to get away and unwind!
