Beautiful setting, close to downtown.We appreciated the amenities and the extras the host provided. We had plenty of room as well as kitchen supplies, towels, etc.

What a wonderful treasure for our Gal Pal get away weekend - there were 9 of us and each one had their own comfortable bed. With three bathrooms on the first floor and one upstairs in the private”princess suite” there was never a line for showers and lots mirrors to go around . This house had EVERYTHING that we needed! It was incredibly clean - the kitchen was well stocked - a view that could not be beat (a sunset every night sitting on the lovely deck eating outside in Sept - does life get better). The fire pit was close with comfortable chairs - the house was walking distance to town and there was plenty our parking right outside our door!The host was great - quick to respond to questions and sent us lots of great suggestions for things to do and place to eat!!! If you are visiting Door County this is the place you want stay!!!

Prefect family getaway

We loved staying in this house. The town of Sister Bay is 2 minutes down the road (walkable for the young and able), but our extended family of 11 people had the most fun on the day we just stayed at the house. Staying there, you can just tell that the hosts care about their guests and wanted us to relax and have a good time. We would definitely stay again if we come to the area.

We spent 4 nights at this wonderful waterfront property. We've stayed in numerous properties in Door County over the last decade and a half or so and this was by far our favorite! We hosted our 22nd Annual Family Vacation with 11 people and our puppy and everyone was pleasantly surprised by how well kept and clean the property was as well as how beautiful and amazing the location! We met Jill who and attentive and friendly hostess with a ton of excellent recommendations. We will most certainly do everything possible to come back in the near future! Highly recommended!

Our new vacation home

We were so impressed with the size of the house, the location and all of the provisions! We are used to having to bring our own towels and beach towels but not only were those provided but also a lot of fun outdoor games, sand toys, outdoor chairs and every kitchen utensil imaginable!

Sister Bay Vacay

This was a great family vacation home. Absolutely everything we needed was here. We loved that we could walk to town and the views were unbelievable. The owners were quick to get back to us when we had we questions. Over all, I’d rent this home again in a heart beat. So worth every penny.

Great location lots of spaces

The house definitely has an odd layout but it works. Was able to comfortably have our whole family stay with beds to spare. The separate second floor mini apartment accessible from outside worked well for our little one to take her naps in as it was completely separate and quiet. The pier is good but was a challenge to dock our fishing boat to as the edges and kleets were less than ideal. Having the garage access was great as it gave a spot to put the boat trailer out of the way. Overall the space worked well and will likely return in the future.

Family last minute getaway

Loved all the amenities. Grill, campfire with wood,beach towels, etc. plenty of everything! Room layouts were strange. Only complaint is that back bedroom off of the garage smelled very strongly of room deodorizer

Door County Vacation

The view from this property was beautiful! Other great parts of the stay included the ability for our group to gather together at places like the kitchen table and outdoor fire pit to visit and to spread out at other times to rest. It was in a super location for walking to Sister Bay restaurants and shops. I also must include the pet friendliness that allowed our fur babies to join us. Would love to stay at this place again!

Great Location - quiet, on the water, but close to town!

The house was great…right on the water with great views. The bedroom setup is a little quirky but worked well for our group of 4 couples. The house was very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We walked multiple times into Sister Bay and enjoyed the food, shops, kayaking and fishing. The hosts were quick to answer any questions we had…they were very gracious.

Perfect getaway for a bigger group

This house was perfect for our 13 family members, including a number of small children. There were enough rooms for reach family to have their own space and separate bathroom. Beautiful view of sunsets on Lake Michigan. Very clean and well stocked.

Beds, bathrooms, location, what more do you need?

Location is everything, plus enough bathroom space for multiple people to get ready at once is a bonus. At first the layout feels goofy but it really worked perfectly for our group of 10. The kitchen table was large enough to enjoy a meal around. You could walk to downtown Sister Bay in 10-15 minutes or sit lake side and enjoy the sunsets. Would not hesitate to book here again.

Simply lovely

From booking to checkout and then even a bit after that this host was accommodating and immediately responsive and so kind. The location was epic! Right on the water, the view is stunning! We kayaked right off the dock area. Also close enough that we could walk to Al Johnson’s and Sister Bay Bowl. Honestly we could not have asked for a better VRBO experience! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Location... Location...Location

Wow, this house is perfectly located and was such a treat for our multi-family, 15-person, vacation. It really was the best of both worlds. The house feels secluded with an expansive waterfront location and a long private dock. But it is also just a quick walk/bike to the marina, ice cream factory, and the infamous "goats on the roof!" (JUST TOO CUTE!) The location is so centrally located everything felt just about a mile away -- grocery shopping, go-karting, bars, restaurants, public beach, hiking, and running trails. The kitchen was well-equipped and provided ample dining space for our large group. There was plenty of seating outside on the deck, around the firepit or just to watch boats go by! Our hosts, Jill and Thor, were so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for sharing your home with us - we loved our time in Sister Bay!

A Reunion of Friends

Old friends are special. But getting multiple families together can be a challenge , especially when there are varying ages of children and these old friends live in different parts of the country. This home allowed us to come together in a beautiful setting and create some beautiful new memories (and of course retell many old stories). This was some of our group’s first trip to Door County and we were very thankful to be able to find a home large enough in centrally located Sister Bay to accommodate our group of 4 families. We were a total of 8 adults, 6 teens, and twin 2 year olds. Being on the water was important to us in order to create just the right feeling of magic and relaxation. This house sits within walking/biking distance to downtown Sister Bay, but just far enough away that you can escape the crowds when needed. We adventured around the peninsula, but spent many hours playing on the dock and sitting around the fire pit out back. Magic was made. We appreciated all of the house amenities (from the extra garage refrigerator, to the kids toys, to the house bikes). Our hosts, Thor and Jill, were readily available and arrival/departure were easy. Highly recommended and thanks for the memories.

Delightul!

We have vacationed in Door County for many years. This was the BEST property so far. There was plenty of room for our group of 10. Each of the 4 bedrooms we used had their own private bathroom. The property was right on the lake with a private pier. Lots of lovely new chairs and a firepit outside. There was even firewood.There were many doors leading to the outside and a variety of decks with a large table to accomodate our large group for our outdoor dining. The interior was modern, clean and very comfortable. The furniture was excellent and the decorating was so tasteful. Everything we needed was provided. It had a well equipped kitchen with appliances, utensils, dishwasher, variety of glasses, travel mugs, cutting boards, serving dishes, etc. Towels, linens and even beach towels were included. When we walked in we found a welcome basket with delightful Door County treats. What a nice touch! It was definitely a comfy home away from home. The owners were prompt to respond to questions and even provided a list of suggested places to visit. They were super helpful and extremely nice. I can't say enough about how well equipped this property was. So clean, perfect location, lovely furnishings, modern applicances, great hosts, and everything you need for a wonderful gathering place. I highly suggest this location for your next large gathering. We will be back. So impressed! Thank you!
