For the price of this home, I expected a much higher standard. We enjoyed parts of our stay, but several issues made it hard to justify the cost. The house was not as clean as it should have been on arrival. We had to sweep food crumbs and dirt from the floors, wipe dust from the kitchen counters, and spray for ants throughout the house. One of the main reasons we booked was the listing’s description of steps leading down to the river. Unfortunately, those steps no longer existed, so there was no access to the water. Had we known that, it would have affected our decision. The biggest disappointment was the king bed in the primary bedroom. It appears to have no center support, causing the mattress to slope toward the middle. It was extremely uncomfortable and led to back pain and several sleepless nights. We were also surprised by the lack of basic supplies for a five-bedroom home at this price. Trash bags, paper towels, and laundry detergent ran out quickly, so we had to buy our own. The living room furniture was another drawback—it wasn’t very comfortable and didn’t provide enough seating for a larger group. On the positive side, the pool was clean and well maintained, the sauna was a nice amenity, and the game room was a favorite, especially the pool table. The layout also worked well, with bedrooms separated enough to provide a quiet place to sleep.Overall, the home has great potential, but the cleanliness and discomfort made it significantly overpriced.
