Birch Cabin | Pet-Friendly Stay at Cashier's Lake

The Space:

The Birch is a cozy 1BR/1BA cabin for up to two guests, combining views of Cashiers Lake with convenient access to the heart of town. Inside, you’ll find a queen bedroom, kitchen, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and the everyday essentials for a relaxed mountain stay.



The cabin began its life as a U.S. Forest Service cabin in Waynesville before being moved to Cashiers Lake and fully renovated in 2021. Its updated interior is balanced with antique furnishings and character-filled details personally selected by Carol, our decorator.



Pets are welcome at Birch, making it an easy choice for guests who want to bring their dog along while exploring Cashiers and the surrounding mountains.



Guest Access:

You’ll have the entire cabin to yourself, along with free on-site parking. Outside, guests can enjoy views of Cashiers Lake and shared amenities that include a lakeside gazebo with bench seating, a communal fire pit, charcoal grill, and outdoor sink and fish-cleaning station.



The gazebo is an especially nice place to enjoy morning coffee, unwind with a book, or simply sit and take in the lake and mountain setting.



The Neighborhood:

The cabin is part of Cashiers Lake Cabins, a small lake-view cabin community near the heart of Cashiers. Shops, restaurants, and local favorites are within easy walking distance. Waterfalls, hiking trails, scenic drives, Highlands, and other mountain destinations are best reached by car.



Getting Around:

Free parking is available on-site. You can walk to several parts of central Cashiers, but a car is recommended for exploring the surrounding mountains, including waterfall hikes, scenic overlooks, Highlands, and other nearby destinations.



Other Things to Note:

The Birch offers views of Cashiers Lake and is one of several cabins on a compact shared property, so while you’ll have your own private cabin, neighboring cabins are nearby and the outdoor amenities are shared.



The Birch is best suited to guests who value lake views, historic character, walkability, and convenient access to Cashiers rather than a secluded or highly private mountain setting.



Pets are welcome at Birch, making it an easy choice for guests who want to bring their dog along while exploring Cashiers and the surrounding mountains. Because the property and outdoor amenities are shared, dogs must remain leashed whenever they are outside the cabin.
