Summary:
Wake up to a view of Cashiers Lake from the Buckeye Cabin’s lake-facing porch. This comfortable one-bedroom cabin is an easy walk from the shops and restaurants of Cashiers, with a shared lakeside gazebo, fire pit, and charcoal grill for slow mountain mornings and relaxed evenings. After a day exploring, come back for a friendly round of darts and a comfortable place to unwind.
The Space:
The Buckeye Cabin is a cozy 1BR/1BA stay for up to two guests, with a kitchen, Wi‑Fi, air conditioning, and free on-site parking.
Originally used as a U.S. Forest Service cabin in Waynesville, Buckeye was relocated to Cashiers Lake and renovated in 2021. Today, it is a simple, comfortable home base with one of the community’s best outdoor features: a porch that faces the lake.
Whether you’re planning waterfall hikes, a weekend of dining and shopping in Cashiers, or simply a quieter mountain break, Buckeye gives you a comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day.
Guest Access:
You’ll have the Buckeye Cabin to yourself, along with free on-site parking. Shared outdoor amenities include a lakeside gazebo with bench seating, a communal fire pit, charcoal grill, and outdoor sink/fish-cleaning station.
The lake-facing porch and gazebo are especially nice places for coffee, reading, or simply taking in the view.
The Neighborhood:
The cabin is part of Cashiers Lake Cabins, a small cabin community near the heart of Cashiers. Shops, restaurants, coffee, and local favorites are within easy walking distance. Waterfalls, trailheads, scenic drives, Highlands, and other mountain destinations are best reached by car.
Getting Around:
Free parking is available on-site. You can walk to parts of central Cashiers, but a car is recommended for exploring the surrounding mountain area.
Other Things to Note:
The Buckeye Cabin is one of several cabins on a compact shared property. You’ll have your own cabin, but neighboring cabins and shared outdoor spaces are nearby. It is a great fit for guests who value a convenient Cashiers location, lake views, and a character-filled cabin—not guests seeking a secluded or highly private mountain property.
Buckeye is not pet-friendly. Please see our other Cashiers Lake Cabins for pet-friendly options
