Great stay for a family

Well-appointed for a full extended family, and in an incredible location in Oak Bluffs. We used the playground right across the street and walked into town each evening.

Great place for a large family gathering

We rented this home for a large, multi-generational family gathering and could not have been more pleased. The layout of the bedrooms throughout the house gave everyone just the amount of privacy needed. Bedrooms are on both floors, and there is one one off the patio that is even more private with it's own bathroom. There are small nooks for TV watching and quiet reading on the second floor in addition to the main living room TV area which means that some could watch TV upstairs and not dominate the living room. Then there is the great wrap-around porch with plenty of rocking chairs for people watching in addition to the large outdoor patio off the kitchen that very comfortably seats 16. We cooked in the large kitchen every night and spent our evenings storytelling on the patio til late night. The newly renovated park just across the street offers basketball, tennis and a wonderful playground. The beach is a lovely two-block walk and Circuit Ave. can be reached in less than 10. The owners of this property were responsive, helpful and at-hand if we needed them. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend this property particularly for large groups.

Perfect Family Vacation House

Rhonda's home could not have been the perfect set up for our family. There were 10 adults and we all fit comfortably, never had an issue with waiting to shower, big bedrooms, and plenty of sitting space. We spent the majority of our time on the front porch, the incredible back patio, or the kitchen. The house is a 5 minute walk from town AND the beach. It is incredibly rare to get a space with close proximity to both. I highly recommend it.

Beautifully furnished and lots of space

Large front porch for relaxing and reading or socializing with family and friends and enclosed very private backyard for entertaining and grilling. House is fully stocked and furnished with just about anything imaginable, including beach toys.

Great house for a family vacation!

Our extended family enjoyed the spaciousness of the house. The owners thought of everything. We spent most of our time on the back patio, dining, drinking and laughing. Great location. We plan to return.

A wonderful place to stay!

Excellent location! Across from a park, walking distance to beach and into Oak Bluffs. House is very clean and well cared for. We comfortably had 15 people in the house for a reunion. House is well supplied with beach supply items like beach chairs which will save you space when travelling. The back deck is truly an oasis and we spent a lot of time there. We also enjoyed relaxing in the rocking chairs on the front porch when we weren't at the beach. The owner was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The house helped us to have a very nice family reunion and I would recommend it!

Great location and fabulous house. 4 years in a row!

Our family, and occassionally with some friends, have been renting this house for a week, for four years now. Always during August, always the same week. The house is so big and comfortable. Perfect for a large number of people because it's easy to spread out and not feel like we're on top of each other. The kitchen is big and well equipped, which is important for us, as we like to cook and eat in while we're there. Most of the time we sit on the patio and are looking forward to the new patio and kitchen we were told about when we called to rebook last month. We find the house to be well maintained, always clean and everything in working order. The location is easy for our family and kids, because we can be at the beach in five minutes and walk the four blocks into town in the evening so the kids can go to the arcade. We like this house and always look forward to returning to our summer home away from home on the Vineyard!

The Perfect Summer Rental in Oak Bluffs

Friends and I have rented this wonderful summer home for the past few years and we love it! The location is ideal - a pleasant one block walk to the beach. The rooms are wonderful - generously sized and beautifully appointed. Bathrooms galore - each one modern and updated with shower and tub. The kitchen is a chef's delight - modern appliances, open and roomy for all the talking, laughing and living that goes in the kitchen. Both back doors of the house open to a private, landscaped oasis right in the heart of town - perfect for morning coffee or late afternoon barbecue. This is perfect for a family or a group of friends that love to travel and expect the best of everything. Fully furnished when you arrive with beds made - towels at the ready - beach chairs - and a gift basket from the owners. All you need is your bathing suit. Perfect!

Oak Bluffs is a vibrant, friendly, walkable beach community with roots deep in cultural history. The house is large enough for our extended family and friends to enjoy together.

The private large bluestone patio with built-in grill, refrigerator, sink, bar and tables is the perfect place to unwind from an intense sunny day at the beach. A children's park, tennis , pickleball and basketball courts are located diagonally across the street, offering outdoor activities for the family. ***Park underwent a complete renovation Summer 2015***
Staying in this house, you're a short walk from town for shopping or dining out and the beach is a five minute walk through Waban Park. You'll be close enough to the action, but with the right amount of distance to enjoy the quiet of this small island community.
