An Inviting, Open Great Room
A winding lane leads through the trees, where the lovely log cabin facade and classic front porch of Whispering Winds sit. Open the front door and step into the warm and welcoming great room, with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural sunlight. In the living space, an oversized leather sofa and an ultra-comfy armchair face the large HDTV. In the corner, the wood-burning stove adds just the right dash of coziness to this spacious room. After a day filled with outdoor adventures, your crew will love to curl up here in the evening for a movie night. Through the glass door, there’s also a sunny back porch.

A Pristine Eat-In Kitchen
Next to the living area is the open eat-in kitchen, complete with a convenient breakfast bar with stool seating for three. Natural wood cabinets surround the full suite of appliances, including a refrigerator, an electric range, a microwave, and even a dishwasher. So even though you’re “roughing it” in the woods, you still have all the comforts of home. This kitchen also includes a dining table with seating for four.

Two Private Bedroom Suites
Around the corner lie the two individual bedroom suites, each with a comfortable queen size bed and two bedside tables with reading lamps. These bedrooms each have their own ensuite bathroom, with a tub/shower combo, which is ideal for families or couples traveling together that are looking for just a smidge more privacy.

A Game Room and Firepit
Downstairs is the walk-out basement that has been transformed into a fun game room, complete with a ping pong table, a dart board, and a plush sleeper sofa. Glass doors lead outside to the covered patio and the charcoal grill. There’s even a fantastic firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs— ideal for roasting marshmallows while watching the sky above that sparkles with thousands of stars.

Close to Lots of Outdoor Ozark Adventures
Located 2 miles from the banks of the Meramec River, guests of Whispering Woods will have easy access to the nearby private river pavilion that is used for all sorts of activities— like rafting, kayaking, and fishing. We also highly recommend booking a float trip with us while you’re here. Floating is an ultra-relaxing way to experience the beauty of the river and a great way to cool off in the summer.
