This was our second time staying here, this time for my moms birthday and we had a great time. We enjoy the rustic cabins and the river and the fire at night. I will say I think it’s a bit overpriced, but we overall enjoyed our stay

We've stayed in a lot of river cabins throughout the Ozarks, and this one has, by far, the best setup in terms of location, seclusion, river access, amenities, and overall comfort. We can't wait to go back!

Everything was terrific and location was quiet and secluded with river riffles right below. Supplies were premium quality and in ample amounts. We enjoyed our stay!

The property was amazing. The design was incredible. Our family used both cabins. We liked the ease of check in. The 4 rating was due to an issue with bedding. There were mouse droppings on the sheets of a twin bed on the porch. We stripped the bed and washed the sheets, so problem solved. The river access was challenging as well. We made it work and had a great adventure. We enjoyed listening to the river. The porch was so amazing and the windows make maximum use of the view of the river.Overall, this was a great experience and a beautiful location.

We're sorry for the inconvenience with the mouse droppings on the porch bed sheets - our handyman caught a mouse right after your stay, and pest control came by to review the cabin perimeter for access points. As for the river access, the paths naturally shift with seasonal conditions since it's a spring-fed river, so we appreciate you working around that to enjoy the adventure. Charming accommodations. Well-maintained. Well-stocked kitchen. Great access to the river. Great communications. Lots of cozy nooks for relaxing and reading. On a rainy day we put together 2 puzzles they offered amongst their cache of games. We had to get a tow truck when our Suburban wouldn't start when time to head out. The groundskeeper and housecleaning were very friendly and helpful. It was quite a wait and they allowed us to stay inside while they tried to get their work done. We plan on booking for next year.

This was one of our most memorable vacation weekends ever! Both the cabins were meticulously clean and comfortable. We enjoyed canoeing, mountain biking and having fires in the fire pit in the evenings. We can't wait to come back!

Darling cottage that was perfect for our family. The only reason I gave this property 4 stars instead of 5 is because we were unaware how far off "the beaten path" from the main road.

Bring everything you need and you wont want to leave. Its truly a paradise in the middle of nowhere. A private oasis in the woods on a beatiful river.

Loved Hazel and Oliver cottages, they were both just as pictured. The cottages were spotlessly clean and the mattresses/linens/bathrooms/towels were high quality—very luxurious. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed. The cottages are “very old,” but the renovations provided incredible modern amenities while retaining the feel of years gone by. Brilliant, stunning design.Our only mention is the access to the river. The climb down and back up was taxing, especially for the older folks in our group. However, being in the Meramec was very relaxing, fishing was exciting.We enjoyed the fire pit and the huge dining room/table every night. The security and privacy are unmatched. Just a gem of a place way out in the woods, down by the river.

Remote & quiet

This is the fourth time my ladies group has gathered here. Plenty of room for up to 10 to 12 if they don't mind sleeping on the couch. Otherwise very nice place.

Absolutely loved this property!! Was clean, well taken care of, and had all the essentials. It was a great place for a multigenerational quick weekend getaway. Was very impressed by the river being so close, and the beautiful wildflower prairie you drive through on the road to the cabins. Kids loved making s’mores, fishing, and playing in the river. Even the dog learned to swim. Made a visit to nearby Meramac Springs as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend.

Perfect spot for a rustic getaway with every modern amenity you could need

We absolutely loved this property!! It was nestled in the woods with easy access and view of the river. Super cute cabin feel but updated and clean. We had an issue leaving the property due to a storm overnight but the property manager, management company and owner were all very responsive, friendly and efficient in solving the problem. We were very impressed with our whole experience and will definitely be back!!

Check in time was 4 PM. Housekeeper did not complete her housekeeping duties and allow us into the house until 6 PM.She did give us some extra wood bundles to burn.This was our party's 3rd stay here. Dislike the cleaning fees but location is prime. We will be back.

Serene Riverside Cabins Perfect for Families

Our family loves riverside locations and the Hazel and Oliver cabins did not disappoint. The lovingly restored cabins on the bank of the Meramac were well furnished and ready for a relaxing stay. The beds were amazing, which is always a good thing! We enjoying the well stocked supply of games and our kids aged 2-9 loved the kids toys and playing around the property! We tried our hand a fishing but had no luck this early in the season. The solo stove was a lovely bonus as we enjoyed several campfires with minimal smoke. We had a few issues arise but the local contact person was swift to respond and kind. Bring your own: coffee grinder; ziplocks; s’mores/hotdog sticks for the fire. We would love to return!

The cabin and guest house have been beautifully restored, preserving their original character and charm while incorporating thoughtful architectural enhancements and modern comforts. Having grown up spending many memorable summer days and weekends in a very similar vintage cabin just downriver, I especially appreciate the care and attention given to preserving the original details. The restoration strikes a wonderful balance between honoring the past and making the property comfortable and inviting for today’s guests.

We stayed memorial weekend with our two adult kids, their spouses, and 2 grandkids. Property was nice. The access to the river wasn’t the easiest for grandkids or an adult with mobility issues but we made it. Saw a large wild cat, puma maybe? Snakes, geckos, and lots of butterflies. Very secluded, excellent wifi, and homes were very clean and up to date. Would stay here again!
