Perfect retreat!!

Loved the decor. Amazing kitchen and dining area. We opened up the big doors in the evening and built a fire in the wood burning stove. Beautiful. Probably our favorite vacation home we’ve ever stayed in.

Teton Cabin

We stayed in the cabin over New Years. We enjoyed the comfort of the fire place local restaurants. We cooked a prime rib and were comfortable on the furniture and beds. We skied at Grand Targee a day also. Great location thanks for having us.

The hosts are very responsive to all questions. The home was very clean where it needed to be (beds, bathroom, kitchen), but the pseudo Pueblo-like walls leave the home feeling a little grimy. Also, the sliding doors to the main bedroom and bathroom are loud & do not close for privacy, if you are traveling with multiple families or young children it may not give the privacy you need. Bring your own hygiene products-the 1-oz bottles of shampoo, conditioner & body wash were nowhere near enough for 5 adults for 10 days!! Water stayed hot through 5 showers & washing dishes! The living room, kitchen & dining area was perfect (minus the low couch!)-and the backyard dining/sitting areas were fantastic. There was no air conditioning & we were still very comfortable, even with the unusual 90 degree heat wave. Overall, this home was a great landing pad after long hikes through the Tetons!!

Not a Cabin

If you are expecting a cabin this is not it although we weren't exactly sure what it is. I'm not sure when the last time anyone was in this property but it smelled very musty and the clock on the stove was blinking so it may have been a while. The walls were made from some type of adobe-like material and were very dingy. The listing indicates there is a loft available for guests but there is no access to it and the welcome book indicates it is not for guest use. The listing indicates no pets but there were clumps of some sort of hair / fur all over the couch. The pictures show a nice round table with chairs in the back garden to relax - they weren't there. This property was very dark, dingy, and gave us the creeps. The description and photos are very misleading.

We do want to note that many other guests have found this cabin to be an incredible retreat, praising its charming cabin feel, great layout, fantastic location in downtown Victor, and the inviting backyard. The loft is indeed not available for guest use, as noted in our welcome book, and we apologize if that wasn’t clear. We appreciate your input and hope future guests will see this as just one perspective among many who have loved their stay here.

This is a nice place. It would be great if a few things were dressed up. Very pleasant, the kitchen was well done. The window coverings could stand some attention. Overall a good place to stay.
