Honey Bear - Mountain cabin with gorgeous scenery

Honey Bear is a rustic but comfortable mountain cabin with a loft. It is perfect for families with children or friends to sit on the large porch and enjoy the mountain scenery. Children can safely have fun at the playground or swimming. The cabin sleeps 6 adults and 2 kids. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a large dining table. It is a short walk to all of the Glen Eden amenities: restaurant, volleyball, swimming/hot tub, or picnic area. You can head down to the river for some fishing or walking. Also, it is an easy drive to lakes, hiking, paddle boarding, boating, and winter sports in the beautiful valley. You will want to return year after year.

This chalet also has satellite TV, broadband WiFi, a wood-burning stove, and is pet friendly.

Honeybear Needs Work

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the location and scenery are perfect, the Honey Bear chalet is not. Twice the electricity went out in the upstairs double bedroom and bathroom due to faulty breakers, I believe. Both times at night,making for dark showers and a tough time turning it back on outside. The stairs are extremely narrow and shallow making it extremely difficult and dangerous to ascend or descend as the handrail only goes up halfway.

Family Reunion Fun!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great stay at Glen Eden for our family reunion. We had 8 cabins, plenty of room and the right mix of together time and a bit of downtime. We had little who thoroughly enjoyed the pool and playground and we all loved going to Lower Glen to be by the river! The staff are super helpful and friendly! We rented the Tavern next door for a birthday party, the food was great and the service excellent. We were entertained by a local, Paul, who played guitar and sang at our party. Went to Steamboat Lake, Pearl Lake, hiked and were surrounded by wildflowers. All in all, a wonderful time! I’d recommend Glen Eden hands down!

The grandchildren loved the swimming pool and we had fun with our pickle ball tournament on the tennis courts. A shout out to Kaylee in the office who handled any questions we had. Derrek is a great addition to your Glen Eden crew.

Great, quiet, affordable place near Steamboat

It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Close to Steamboat, Pearl Lake SP, and other attractions. The kitchen was very usable. It was great for the whole family plus dogs and had plenty of space. Nice hot tub. I was really surprised at how good the restaurant was. Will definitely stay there again!

Nice that this is a stand alone cabin but needs some updating. There is no door to the upstairs bedroom and the stairs are steep and narrow. It would be fine as a three bedroom except still the stairs......

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location away from town, closer to trailheads and lakes in the Clark area. Five nights wasn’t nearly enough and we can’t wait to plan our next visit. We hiked to Hinman and Gold Creek lakes, paddled and fished on Hahns Peak Lake and Pearl Lake. We road biked in the area most days as well. A great base for activities and hanging around the resort, pool and hot tub were enjoyable too.

Loved it!

We loved our little cabin stay for our Steamboat weekend! It was a perfect option to stay a little bit out of town and escape the hustle and bustle after a long ski day. Cabin was super cozy and just what we needed.

Good for Families

Reviewer Comments: We picked the Honey Bear for our annual summer trip to Glen Eden because we had 3 couples and two kids. The upstairs was perfect for my family of four and the two downstairs bedrooms was perfect for the grandparents. The cabin itself does need some upgrades. A few things were broken and not cleaned, but overall it worked. The location on the property is great if you have small kids because it’s right across from the playground which you can see from the front porch. Next time, I will choose a different cabin, but will come back to Glen Eden.
