Great location

Property is in a great location. Beautiful views and beautiful drive. A little dated, but overall great stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The resort is Mismanaged. Beach volleyball with no net, weeds in the sand, horseshoe area overgrown. Restaurant service very slow to nonexistent. Rat and insect problems in almost every cabin. Completely scratched/flaked off teflon cooking pans. Overpriced is an understatement. Will not be returning.

The property is beautiful. The location is fantastic and we will definitely be back!

Cute cabin with a beautiful river view

The cabin was cozy and the property was great. For the cost of the per night, however, i would expect the cabin to be nicer. The bathrooms are basic and the stairs to the upstairs are really steep if you have kids, be aware.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We come here for the memories. 30+years. There was a leak in the upstairs shower. Only one shower was available. Cupboard doors don’t stay shut. Of course there were mice caught in our cabin every day. All of the staff were great and accommodating. I would recommend only by letting someone know of our so so experience.

I usually am very low maintenance when it comes to accommodations, but I want to leave a review for future guests to be aware of - both good and bad. I had inadvertently booked a weekend in the winter which I was called in to work on short notice and was unable to cancel the reservation and Toni worked with me to transition my reservation to a different cabin for a different weekend in the fall at no additional charge, which was absolutely wonderful. However, the booking did not get updated, so in reviewing the pictures of the accomodations and planning for our friends to come with us/sleeping arrangements, this was shocking when we got there. We made it work but it was deceiving by the pictures and how we consequently planned. When we arrived, it was dark and raining and although our code worked, there were no keys in the lockbox to get in. After 2 phone calls to the hosts and 2 written messages on the app without reply, we decided to try the emergency number, which wasn't answered and then by a stroke of luck, found a nice man closing the tavern (this was about 10pm) who called and had an external person (not the VRBO host/cabin owner) come from 15 min away to let us in. We finally got in and the accommodations were much smaller than anticipated (due to the incorrect cabin pictures). Multiple messages throughout the weekend went unanswered. The host did eventually call me to discuss 1 day into our stay and was kind and briefly apologized. Overall, not a comfortable stay.

Hi Samantha, Thank you for your feedback, we express our apologies again for not having the keys in the lock box upon your arrival. Considering that the cabin you were moved too had an extra bed and an extra bedroom than the original cabin we were under the impression that you were happy with the switch. Upon reading your review we understand that is not the case and will take this into consideration when trying to accommodate guests in the future. Furthermore, thank you for letting us know that the reservation didn't update on your end as we will be sure to reach out to VRBO about this so that future guests hopefully don't experience the same thing.

Great Views, needs some TLC

Windows not working, shower upstairs dribbles (and nothing else), kitchen cabinets don't stay closed, etc. Railing going into the front door is loose. Trees hit us in the face (we're tall but not that tall). Nothing huge but needs TLC.

Pool, hot tub, playground, river access, and lower Eden are so amazing for families. Plan on returning every summer! Staff is super nice and beds are comfy.

We have absolutely loved coming and look forward to to each year! It’s our kids favorite vacation and so fun to spend time with family at Glen Eden!But I have to say that your prices have increased substantially which is disheartening. But with the increase of pricing, where is the increase in amenities and upgrades? The pool has been the same for 30 years, sometimes the heater works and sometimes it doesn’t, same with the hot tub (doesn’t always work), tennis court are old and cracked, some cabin need some serious upgrades, the restaurant hasn’t been open the past 2 years. Also, we are not happy with your new “ tiered” pricing, summer rates along with summer weekend rates is ridiculous! We are already paying the summer rate and then on top of that we have to pay more for a weekend?? We love your resort and hope our kids will continue this tradition with their own children, but with this last price increase, not sure it will be an option.Just wanted you to know that you are raising prices but not amenities and it is pricing out local Coloradans from visiting your resort which is a shame!We love it here, but not sure how long our family will be able to pay these prices. But thank you for giving us years of wonderful family memories!!
