It is wonderful to hear that the privacy, waterfront setting, and overall atmosphere made the home a great fit for a family weekend getaway. While the home offers a peaceful, tucked-away setting, several dining options are nearby. El Huastaco Mexican Restaurant, Fofa’s Pizza, Huddle House, and Shady Shack are all within about a 5-minute drive, with Shady Shack offering a seasonal waterfront dining option. South Hill is also only 10–15 minutes away and offers additional choices including Cracker Barrel, Kahill’s, Five Guys, Applebee’s, Luca’s Italian Restaurant, and Star Buffet & Sushi Bar, to name a few. Thank you again for staying at Portside Villa. It is great to know the home was enjoyed, and there is hope for another visit to Lake Gaston in the future.

We strive to accurately represent our property in the photos, including providing aerial drone photos. The water depth is typically 6-8 feet off the dock and is suitable for most watercraft and swimming-related activities. The property is located in a quiet cove with cove-to-main lake views from the dock. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

However, we would like to address the concerns mentioned: Porch Fan: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We were unaware that one of the fans was not working, and we have since installed a new switch. Misting System: The misting system is a specialty system maintained by an irrigation company for plants that were previously in the space. It was not intended for human use and is not advertised as an amenity. TV in the Pool Table Room: Batteries can deplete unexpectedly, but we respond promptly to such issues. If we had been informed, we would have suggested using a battery from one of the other TVs until we could replace it. We did response with replacement batteries & repair the Direct TV outage due to a storm. Running Toilets: Upon inspection, we found a single toilet in the main floor master with a minor issue, not multiple toilets as stated. This issue has been resolved. Water Depth: The cove is described accurately with 5 feet of water at the dock and up to 30 feet in the main lake. We believe this provides ample water for floating, lounging, and docking your boat. We strive to provide a high-quality experience, and we regret that these issues impacted your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide a flawless experience.
