Hello, I'm Eddy, a former university professor of computer engineering who found a new purpose in life as the guardian of the forest and an advocate for sustainable living. My journey began with a profound love for nature and a desire to make a positive impact on the world around me. Transitioning from academia to the realm of ecological stewardship wasn't an easy decision, but it was one that felt right in my heart. Armed with my knowledge of computer engineering, I set out to design and implement various sustainable systems on our farm, including green energy solutions, electricity infrastructure, and permaculture practices. With a deep understanding of renewable energies, I developed a sophisticated system that harnesses solar and wind power to provide clean and reliable energy for our farm. It's a humble contribution towards reducing our carbon footprint and embracing a more sustainable future. I approach my role as the guardian of the forest with humility, constantly reminded of the vast wisdom and beauty that nature possesses. It is a privilege to witness the transformations that take place when we align ourselves with the natural world. We generate all our energy through solar panels and wind turbines, ensuring that our power source is clean and renewable. From Monteverde, celebrated for its biodiversity, to the mesmerising coastline, the stunning landscape captivates the senses and invites exploration.
Our accommodations further enhance the uniqueness of our property. From the charming handmade cabins, such as LaOffice and Frijolitos, to The Solar House, each space has been carefully crafted with a focus on sustainable and eco-friendly design. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property. Here, guests can experience a minimalist way of life, allowing for a deeper connection with oneself and nature.
