We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the place was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The host communicated really well throughout the stay and responded quickly whenever needed.They were also kind enough to accommodate our late checkout request, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience for our group trip, and we would definitely recommend this place to others visiting the Smoky Mountains area.

Cozy cabin with amazing view of the mountains

We were very happy with this property! The cabin was clean and comfortable and slept 9 people comfortably. The property manager was in touch often to make sure we had everything we needed and more. I would highly recommend this property. The town of Wears Valley was also a great place to visit!

Spring break 2024

The drive was a little scary for me but it was well worth it for the amazing view! My family thoroughly enjoyed their home away from home. I truly recommend staying at this cabin. We got locked out and Jack was an awesome host. We were able to get back in the cabin in no time! Great family vacation location!!

The reason for one star. Was the payment processing for final payment. It was a cluster of communication between both host and VRBO. Wasted a half day of time to finally accomplish. Both saying the other would send it. Finally got sent 2 days before departure and the payment kept failing for no reason. Ended up Zelle direct to host. As far as accommodation and as advised and easy check in was no problem. Someone please fix your payment processing issues.

Amazing!

This was an amazing place to stay. Great view. Clean. Well stocked. Spacious. Nice location pretty close to everything we wanted to go see but yet in a quiet neighborhood. Jack was a great host that communicated promptly if there was anything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The cabin was very clean, and the check in was very simple. The only issue we had was that the dishwasher was malfunctioning upon arrival, I informed via text on VRBO and I was asked to send pictures of the error codes, which I provided. Future renters may want to verify that this has been fixed. I was a little surprised that I didn't hear anything back regarding the dishwasher. A couple of other quick clarifications for future renters: VRBO lists this property as having a garage, but the garage is closed off and is used as a game room. One photo of the property has a person in water overlooking the mountains and underneath it lists "pool". There is no pool on site. Also, there is no fire pit at the property. You will also be required to provide a copy of your driver's license to rent the property. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the property.

Wears Valley

The views and the cabin were absolutely beautiful! Plenty of room for my family of 5. Clean and accommodating. The only issue we had, was an odor coming from the sewage somewhere that seemed to stronger some days than others, but we spoke to the hosts about it and of course they said they will have it looked into, so hopefully noone else will run into this same experience. Overall, we were very happy with our stay in the Buckeye cabin with its Breathtaking views!

Wedding getaway

We loved our stay at the buckeye cabin. It was everything I hoped for in my first trip to the area but also my wedding weekend. The house was very clean apon arrival, we loved everything about the view. When we did have an issue I reached out to the property manager and they handled it right away. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone! They did add an extra bunk bed so it will fit 4 kids in the game room easily. We loved the master bedroom, it was perfect for this bride to get ready for the big day. We had some family not stay with us so we used one of the downstairs bedrooms to keep the groom away until meeting at the alter. I've never been to the area or stayed in a rental, but I would definitely consider staying again in the future!

Home away from home

I can not express how wonderful it was to stay here. Of course not being use to mountain travel...the first drive up was a little difficult for me...but after the first time, it was a breeze!! Very homey, breath taking views (thus the name of the cabin), and a stocked kitchen that only needed food!! I spoke to Jack throughout the process and he made sure to answer all my questions, gave information on some picnic areas, and checked in during the stay to make sure my family or I didn't need anything! We had 6 adults and 3 children under 10 and we had plenty of room. The screened in porch was a beautiful place to hang out, enjoy some coffee and look at the views. The hot tub was a complete hit with everyone! Will definitely be staying here in the future. If you're looking for a home away from home while on vacation...look no further!! This is it!!

Mixed emotions

The house was very nice with good location and the Host was Very responsive and nice. My only issue was the 3rd party verification process before you checked in. I have rented cabins in wears valley for the last 12 years or so and never had to go through so much to rent a cabin. I had to give a pic of driver license, a selfie pic, and pay for a back ground check. $35 I understand that they are covering themselves, but I wasn’t comfortable having to give so much personal information out. Had I known the process, I wouldn’t have rented this cabin. It’s unfortunate because it really was a good cabin with nice host.

I apologize for you not feeling comfortable about going through the verification process. As stated in the listing - you did have 48 hours to cancel your reservation when you booked the reservation if you did not feel comfortable with the verification process. The verification process is communicated to everyone multiple times, starting from the moment anyone reads our listing and in all the follow up emails and texts that were sent to you up until you checked in. You even commented on the multiple messages sent to you. We notify everyone about the verification process at least 10 times before check in. We invested a lot into our cabin and for the low rate that you booked at, you bet we're going to protect our investment. If our insurance company will only cover us if they know who's renting, then we will continue with the guest verification program. You and your wife were the perfect model guests, but you don't know about some of the malicious nightmare riff raff who rent our cabins. We hope you at least had a happy anniversary while at our cabin. Best, Jack and Kimmy

Great property! The views were amazing. Very clean and lot of amenities. Baby friendly. The only issue I faced was that the host’s online system not showing payment I made but they eventually resolved it. I would definitely recommend it.
