This was not at all like the photos. It was dirty, with disgusting bathrooms, saftey issues with the wiring, a dirty stove, smelly half-burned logs in the fireplace, etc, etc. There was rug on the wall. There were missing smoke alarms. There were bugs everywhere. The heat was not working properly which was never fixed. The house smelled of mold, and to their credit the owners sent air purifiers to help. I have never been so disappointed with a rented place.
Loads of dead bugs in the windows. Also, all the windows have had the handle removed so don't open
The stove was super dirty and did not have a extraction fan so any smoke filled the living area.
the fireplace was filled with smelly old half-burned logs.
don't even know why old shag carpet was stuck into the wall.

Good location. The area was perfect for going to the Saye Parks and wineries. Stairs going down to the unit was scary, especially using them at night.

The property was convenient for our stay, however the cleanliness was not up to par. There was a lot of dust, spiderwebs, and many MANY points of entry for insects. There were so many insects. The shower was dark and dirty, the floors and rugs felt dirty, the towels also were perpetually a little damp. The keypad for entry was incredibly finicky and sometimes took up to 5 minutes.On the bright side- The guide they sent was very thorough and helpful, and the backyard was beautiful. Disney plus was available on the television which enabled a lovely movie night.

Communications before and during our stay were great.The hosts were very accommodating and quickly replied to most of our requests. The place was comfy and the linens and towels were soft. Comfortable beds. Nice inviting decor.There are only a couple of items that need attention:- Not a lot of cooking supplies and tiny toaster oven. Which is not a huge issue if you don't plan to cook full meals while there.- No broom or vacuum available to keep the floor clean during your stay.- Most of the closet doors were not present or off their rails and some of the ceiling panels needed attention. The property is incredibly well maintained, but you can see the age in those things.- Older fridge leaking inside, creating daily puddles of water around your food. Avoid egg cartons and carboard containers.- No recycling container inside or the laundry bins mentioned in the handbook.- There was an issue with an overflowing dumpster right next to the parking spots that unfortunately kept inviting wildlife to spread trash around.Wonderful surroundings, attentive hosts and nice space. We stayed with teen-tween kids and grandmother and it was comfortable for all.

Overall we had a good experience and it was decorated nicely. Beds were comfortable and it was nice that bedding and towels were provided. One of the showers had some weird film around the drain and it was super dark trying to shower. But again overall we had a nice stay. The owners were very communicative and extremely helpful providing options for things to do in the area.

We arrived late in the evening due to travel during the day. Upon arrival the driveway motion lights popped on. The stairs to down the back to get to the unit have this feature, however, when walking slowly with luggage down them the lights turn off before I was halfway down and wouldn’t come back on until I returned to the top. On entry it’s just a basic flipper renovation, common and not unexpected. We always go through each room to record any issues upon entry. My wife noticed as we started turning out lights from each room that spiders, centipedes, and other insects started crawling across the floor. The worst was the largest spider with a body the size of a quarter, the nastiest I’ve ever had to smash. My pregnant wife and mother-in-law decided it was time to leave. I tried contacting the owners, of which there are 2, via phone calls and VRBO messages. Only one reached out the next day after we already had hotel rooms. He apologized and said he had a life event, which is acceptable and life happened, but there were 2 people in the business together. I tried to request a refund and he said we could work out something as long as I didn’t leave a review and minus the VRBO fees. I initially accepted, however, the refund was way below the initial price. He also tried to continually contact outside the VRBO platform but I like to keep there so there is no he said he said. I had him keep the refund amount to let know future travelers of potential issues they’ll have here.

Great time!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay. The house was cute and cozy with a full kitchen which we needed. The beds were so comfortable and it was nice to have 2 full baths. This was a great landing pad for all kinds of activities in Ithaca and at the national parks!

Also we didn’t being able to join the property, Eric and Justin were the best can be.They help us with our unique situation, find solutions and had great communication with us!They have lovely place, in a great location!

Curling bonspiel

Very comfortable house for 4-5 adults. Communication with the host was always very prompt.Sauna in the backyard was a nice feature.Easy parking in the driveway for two cars, and a third car parked on the grass off to the side of the driveway.The shower in the second bathroom is a bit smaller than average, but is certainly adequate.There is another unit above this one, but we didn’t encounter excessive noise coming from above.Definitely had a pleasant experience.

Great place

Super peaceful, well lit abode, super clean had plenty of dishes and a dishwasher and we all really enjoyed ourselves while there. I would definitely stay again and am excited to see you the upstairs unit as well.

Bachelorette retreat

A group of five of us, mature ladies came from all corners of Pennsylvania and even Boston to celebrate our friend who is getting married at the end of May. The home is split into an upstairs and downstairs unit. We had the downstairs and it was cozy, decorated nicely, Had a beautiful outside area, and was in short driving distance to all of the activities and events that we wanted to participate, our hosts were very communicative throughout the entire process. And this is a place that I would definitely like to stay here again.

Great spot for access to Lake & Wine Region

This property is conveniently located minutes from downtown Ithaca, Cayuga Lake and all the wineries. It had all amenities I needed. It also had a great outdoor space with a firepit. The only issue I had was the keypad to get in the front door. But the owners were immediately available by phone and got me in quickly.

Location!

We were visiting Cornell for college tours and it was a great location. Close enough to campus to have meals at the dining hall and a wonderful jumping off point for visiting tourist sites like Corning. Overall just like the listing.

Family visit to Cornell

Great place that met all or needs. Close to Ithaca , Cornell. Spacious with nice big back yard, great for the dogs . Host was really helpful with questions , would definitely recommend.

Cayuga Lake gem

Needed a place close to Ithaca and this was perfect. Plenty of room for the three of us, and the place was exactly as advertised. Great communication and an all-around positive experience

Open spaces and fun communal outside area make this a great place to stay. We are close to the lake and downtown Ithaca. Unit 1 is truly a special apartment.
