Welcome to Dayafter Estate!

This is our serene retreat nestled in the picturesque low country of Charleston, South Carolina on Wadmalaw Island. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience the tranquility of our expansive property, complete with a fire pit, fishing ponds and a beautiful cypress swamp in the back of the property where you can hear the crawdads sing or watch the abundant wildlife.

This is the perfect destination for nature enthusiasts, families, and anyone seeking a peaceful getaway with plenty of space indoors and outdoors.

The property features a renovated 2,700 sqft single story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 2 half baths, 3 living and entertainment areas and 2 back porches overlooking a stocked pond. The large, covered flagstone front porch with swing is a great place to relax with friends while absorbing the tranquility of the Low Country. For entertainment enjoy a private par 3 golf hole with water hazard and synthetic grass tee box accessible right off the back porch. Endless closest to the pin challenges await!

For those that need to work on their getaway, there are 2 workstations and WIFI throughout the house to keep up with daily life. There are new appliances in kitchen and laundry room to make staying here feel like home. All cookware, utensils and dishes are available to support larger groups and avoid the high costs of downtown Charleston rentals and hotels.

A large lighted fire pit area compliments the extensively landscaped front yard for your private relaxation and entertaining. Once on the property, enjoy the peace & quiet of having 14 acres to yourself adorned in mature oak trees, azaleas and wildflowers.

Each living area has new sectional couches, new smart TV’s, and plenty of space for larger groups. Even the bonus room has a new smart TV providing 3 separate spaces to watch what you want.

25 Minutes to downtown Charleston, 20 minutes to Kiawah Island, and 25 minutes to Folly Beach, the edge of America.

You can also visit the historic Angel Oak Tree, the Bears Bluff National Fish Hatchery, and/or the Charleston Tea Garden within 8 minutes of the property.

This beautiful property is located off the beaten path, and you will drive down a small dirt road before being welcomed onto our open grounds. However, this is close enough to everything that the low country has to offer. If you are familiar with this area then you know to expect bugs, mosquitoes, and wildlife. If you are new to the low country then just know that we have an abundance of bugs including noseeums (google that).

A great stay in Coastal South Carolina

Just what our family of 5 needed and more. We came down to fish for a week and wanted a quiet place to stay. This house fit the bill perfectly. The owner communicated well from the start and provided a perfect home away from home for our group. I will definitely be looking for this property again when we come back!

I was visiting for work, so didn’t get to enjoy the area as much as I would have liked - but the rental is nestled between 2 pond on a picturesque property! The house itself was much larger than I expected! It kept going and going; my co-workers and I had plenty of rooms to ourselves. It was very clean and I felt right at home. And our host was very communicative, professional and kind. Will be renting again.

Perfect House

We rented this house for a wedding party and the house did not disappoint. Our Host was incredibly communicative and quick to respond to any inquiries we had during our stay. This house provided us with plenty of space on a beautiful piece of property. Given its proximity to Charleston, Kiawah, Seabrook, and Folly - it was the perfect location for a group of friends. This property would also be incredible for a golf trip with a fun par 3 in the backyard. We greatly appreciated the kindness of the host and hope to return some day!

Secret paradise

Just as described! The house was clean and comfortable- even on blazing hot days. My family (elderly parent, young adults, and kids (12-6) all enjoyed the home. Beds were comfortable, serene surroundings, we were able to have fun and totally relax. It’s a bit odd to drive through what feels like the neighbors yards (on the road) but when you turn the corner the DayAfter estate feels worlds away from everyone. We will definitely stay here again on a future trip to Wadmalaw!
